Started well and then completely fell out
I’ll be brief. This is a cute and original story. The FL is really cute, ML acts well and all other characters are all doing an amazing job.Problem is that in the middle of the drama, the characters start not to make sense at all. Ms Ahn is the worst. She doesn’t accept her son, claims she does this for her step son, refused to help her son when the only person who loved him died ... but then intervened and literally forced Seulbi to leave her son pretending that it’s better for him to be all alone!
Then, the step son ..... how immature can you be? It hurts. I can get it, but to be violent with your step mom, to hurt the only persons who were there for you to feel better .... and the father who is a cop, doesn’t do a thing when he realizes the situation. This kid needed a good slap to get some sense out of him. And so the mom/step mom!
Now the FL..... her cuteness and kindness becomes annoying cause she is so naive that she keeps being wronged without fighting back or at least avoiding to be involved in more problems.
The bullies ..... no comment. Characters are as frustrating as above. And same goes for Angel sunbae!
Overall this could have been an amazing drama, unfortunately it felt short. Just be warned that this drama might disappoint you after the 1st 10 episodes !

WAAAAY too long!
This show would have been great if they had gone to about episode seven and then cut to the last two episodes. The writing/storyline got on a continuous loop of stalled story! The middle episodes were almost painful for me to watch, because it felt like the writers threw every trite stumbling block at the characters, and the story STILL wasn't moving forward. And I was really bothered with how many bullies and evil people were in this, If I was school-age and moved to Korea, I'd be afraid to go to school. And the adults? Don't get me started! The second male lead's and Sunbae's transition to evil made no sense and was just another time wasting filler, I felt. The lead actress was, in reality, only 14 when she filmed this. Some people were bothered by the age difference, but I didn't notice it, because there was one really bad kiss and a couple of hugs and that's it as far as skinship went.
The actors did an okay job with what they had to work with, The acting felt unnatural and forced in a few places, but that might have been due to the script.
I did love the mention of the ML looking like "that idol from Infin...I don't remember." Very clever. The soundtrack was good and lent itself to the feelings of loss when that was what was being conveyed.
Once again, you made us suffer through way too many episodes and the happy ending is the last five minutes of the show. So abrupt and unsatisfying.
So, if you've actually watched everything there is to watch and you've got some time to fill, watch the first few episodes and the last few. You'll get a complete picture of what is going on.

Something too long
I have a soft spot for this drama since it was the second k-drama I had ever watched right after Boys Over Flowers however I really did enjoyed this drama, I knocked some points off as I felt uncomfortable knowing the FL was only 14 years old at the time this was made and you could tell that she was so much younger than the school kids in her year, the ML and the love interest /triangle guardian Angel etc ages of 20 so the age gap not quite right to me. BTW FL loved her acting , she was brilliant, I did watch her recent supernatural drama on Viki and she is an accomplished young actress, mother’s character was not fit to be called a mother regardless of her circumstances. She slightly redeemed herself in the last couple of episodes just about The school bullies got away with too much and forgiven too quickly Happy ending which was nice for the main leadsWas this review helpful to you?

Interesting high school love triangle!
This was my introduction to K Drama, I watched it when I was in college and boy, this was the best introduction that I could have asked for High school romance. Now I was watched so may Dramas but this one is still very close to my heart. If you have every loved anyone in you school days then you should definitely give it a try.Was this review helpful to you?
Unpopular opinion: it’s one of my favorite dramas
I loved this drama. A lot of the low ratings are from ten years ago. i was a young child ten years ago and didn’t know what Korea even was lol so i can’t speak for back then. But i think it aged really well. For starters it gives this comforting nostalgic feeling that a drama nowadays can’t give you. I thought the storyline was really engaging and loved it a lot. I never felt bored and cried at times. it’s a wholesome story that I enjoyed all the way through. It’s one of my comfort dramas. I’m surprised by the low ratings. Not all dramas have to be ranked on an extraordinary out of this world scale. I loved this drama with every bone in my body. it was beautiful. the ost was beautiful as well. It gives that comforting sweet gen 2 feeling which matches the vibe of the story well. Was this review helpful to you?
Second watch and it's not as good as I thought it was
Storywise, it was kind of unique and intriguing. I first watched this when I was in college and I remember loving it but now that I watched it as an adult, I realized that the characters were way too immature. The story was also dragged long enough to be a 20-episode series.I love INFINITE in this series although I just realized they weren't really good actors. Kim SaeRon's character was too full of cuteness and immature at the same time. I just became weirded out with how the characters react about what's happening around them. It was too unnatural and weird. I love how the OST stick in my mind though. That's one of the good things I love this series.
If you're still young like high school or college, maybe you'll love this as much as I did before but if you're already adulting and watched too many k-dramas there will be cringey moments all over this series.

This is going to be my first review
The word "high school" is used for making memories, may that be good or bad. Do you remember the first time you skipped classes? Do you remember that homework that you haven't passed yet? Do you remember the first time you've been in love? They say that the best memories we have are memories of high school. High school is the time that we didn't even know we were having the best times of our life. Friends, money, studies, books, love, and many more things have probably made your high school at least that enjoyable.Shin Woo-Hyun is a boy who does poorly in academics and has narcissistic tendencies. He lives with his grandmother because his mother left him at a very young age. But even showing a cheerful attitude, his yearning for his mother goes to show how fragile he can be. Despite this, there's a girl who shows to have a crush on him but knowing Woo-Hyun's personality, her mother despised him and even went to humiliate her daughter just for the girl to stay away from him.
Now, have you entered the emo phase? In where you reject everyone including your parents just to stick for your own beliefs? Well, that's also part of being in high school, being emotional over small things. Remember, you can always listen to emo music: Paramore, MCR, Fallout Boy, etc. But don't take drastic measures one of which is killing yourself. Just because you won't be able to be with your crush doesn't mean it's the end of the world, well I guess it's their emo phase. The girl was now on the verge of jumping from the building, we see Woo-Hyun rushing towards her thinking that he'll stop her but what we get is a seemingly double suicide.
Enter cute angel, an aloof girl who just enjoys watching Korean soap opera in a local television store. Invisible to humans, these angels guide the soul of the dead to enter the next life. Every angel has a black book that contains the name of the soon to be deceased, I guess you can call it the "Death Note". The angel went to the location of the "possible" souls to collect. At this moment you can see that kids are very irrational and when they decide something at the spur of the moment, they will most likely regret it but we can't blame them, after all, they are still kids. Hesitant to kill themselves, an unexpected thunderstorm shocked the girl and blunders. At the nick of time, Woo-Hyun saved the girl, unfortunately, he became outbalanced and fell. The angel looks as if the book cannot decide who will come to pass, she accidentally dropped her book and as soon as she picked it up, Woo-Hyun fell on top of her and she instinctively tried to save him.
But everything has a price. They both go to the hospital and Woo-Hyun is surprisingly unscathed. He immediately thanked the girl who saved her but the girl is incredibly shocked. Yup, the angel who has invisible to mortals can now be seen. Because he wanted to thank her for saving his life, he insisted on helping her. In a panic, during a police interrogation, she said things that were believed to be absurd and supernatural, and she was immediately suspected of amnesia. Woo-Hyun was probably weirded out so he decided to let the police do the job. But thanks to his grandmother, she insisted that the girl should stay on their home until she remembers anything, what a lucky son of a bitch.
On to the questions, "Is this really good?". This doesn't just revolve on every high school life but with everything that might happen in our life. The way they express their emotion was good enough to make me cry liters. The story was so compelling that sometimes I'd wish I had the same thing happening to me. It's not just studies that make us sad or our crush who doesn't want to talk to us. It's about how we find fulfillment and happiness through sad times. As Dr. Seuss quotes, "You will never know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory".
And now the story begins to start as they find love, sadness, dissociation along with their lives. In life, we always fall but without some lows, there is no high. High school is 4 years of laughter, joy, sadness, and heartbreaks. High school is the only time where you can be the most happy but forgotten the most. So when you have the time for it, enjoy it as much as possible as time doesn't wait for us.

Watch it for Kim Sae Ron unless you are an idol fan.
This is one of those odd shows that I quite enjoyed, especially first time round but is actually quite pants.Let's face it, for me, Kim Sae Ron is what makes this watchable. Her character isn't bad, she can act and she has a great face for comedy managing to go from pretty to cute to weird and back again in the same shot. The fact she's only 14 makes things a little awkward because she absolutely looks her age which made the 9 year age gap a little too cringey. especially in the last couple of episodes.
The Infinite boys were OKish but neither had the acting chops to carry it off, cute moments are easy enough to manufacture but they need some glue to make it really work.
Add to that a plot that lost it's way at the half way point and made some of the characters into really terrible people it was hard to care for and little side character development. As well as a rather too schmaltzy way of tying things up both at school and later.
You get a 'could have been great' show.
I've watched it a few times now on my own and with the kids and I still get enough enjoyment out of it to skip through and watch the cute/funny bits.
It really isn't a great show though

STORY
I really loved the fantasy elements of this one and they gave a fresh, interesting twist to an otherwise boring plot. There was a great story to be told and I think they did very well with the execution, even though some parts of it were totally obvious. There were 20 episodes and I was hooked until episode 14, it went sort of boring and predictable after that, and the drama was getting too much.
CHARACTERS
Lee Seul Bi was so adorable for a girl her age and I loved the way she spoke. She was so affectionate and kind and when she first came into the human world, she was so clueless and found everything so fascinating. Plus, her love for dramas makes us all relate. She didn't seem childish at all and handled the role quite maturely for her tender age (she was 13 when the drama wrapped up). The two male leads were also well done as well. One was moody, one was chirpy and sort of "dominant". The typical love triangle you would expect, pretty much.
MUSIC
I love the soundtrack so much. When I started this drama, I'd never heard any Korean songs and it made me seriously consider starting!
REWATCH VALUE
I never re-watch things, but I sort of miss watching this one so I might begin it again in the future.. Who knows?
I truly recommend this drama and hope to discuss it with any of you that wish to!
