Reviews
I can say that this is one totally wonderful slice of life movie :3
I accidently went on the movie page and just randomly chose what I pointed with my finger on the screen, then Kamome jumped out.. it was like ''what's this?'' O.o and description was pure, but before that I decided that this is the day of watching random chosen movie till the end XD
so I went --; clicked PLAY button.. and MFG THIS MOVIE IS AWESOME!
I just can't describe how I enjoyed the story, actors, acting, music, atmosphere, feelings ~ everything is simple and complicated at the same time, one calm and beautiful slice of life about one small restoran and various people connecting due to some circumanities or accidents together :)
Despite the different nationality everyone is the same, every alive creature on the Earth has the same feelings and problems just expression and language and physical look make difference for everyone..
I enjoyed it soo much :) and FOOD ~ heh japanese food :)
I recommend this movie to all who want to enjoy one easygoing and beautiful slice of life japanese film*with good food :)
**just to mention, this is not for those who search some romance, action or ultra comedy, this is just one usual life movie to enjoy and look yourself and your days and life of others as well in a different way. :)

Sweet, relatable, realistic but draggy
Loneliness is loneliness no matter where you are.... This movie is bit draggy, nothing really happens in it and the cinematography is as grey and draggy as the drama itself... but it is still kind of sweet and comforting telling the story of lonely people coming together in Helsinki. The movie starts off showing everyday light racism in a very light way, conveying the looks and the comments most people meet when they do not look like the majority population. Very realistically and most probably something any one who has moved to a different country can relate to. The movie shows the process of trying to adapt and find a way to sell comfort food from ones own culture in a new setting. Sometimes you have to take a step back and adapt before you can move forward with your own. Sad but realistic. This movie also shows how lonely people come together and find comfort in each other breaking barriers and does a pretty okay jobb with breaking stereotypes etc.
I do love allot in this movie, just not the pace and the fact that it did manage to bore me in the short time it was playing... which is why the score is not higher than it is. but it does have some pretty good humour, relatable gems and is definitely worth watching just do not get your hopes of for getting thrilled or emotional and all will be fine.
