Haunted by their love
Bare with me as I typically do not write reviews. I first watched Ji Chang Wook in Love Struck In the City and fell in love with his talent. As such, watching an actor in all his/her work is how I become a fan. I have not been disappointed so far with this man’s talent. The exception role I couldn’t sit through watching him in is Backstreet Rookie. I felt it was beneath him in terms of his amazing storytelling. This story is beautiful and came together well. Kudos to the writer. I will definitely seek other works by them as well.
So glad to see Yoo Ji Tae in something that shines a better light character wise. First saw him in The Good Wife. I’m a fan of both the Korean and the American versions. This show introduces me to Park Min Young who I will look to watch in something else as well.
All of the characters in this story brought their A game. Outstanding bad guys and surprising good guys. When I absolutely hope something terrible happens to the bad guy in the story, it’s kudos to the actor’s talent in my book. These characters/actors brought me right to the edge. Bravo!!!
I too, do not want to be redundant in this review as many have already said exactly what I’ve experienced overall. I am hauntingly in love with this OTP and can’t get enough of their love. I’m used to the “clean”perspective of these dramas (in this medium) not showing what happens under the sheets. The actors ability to tell that part of the story through their chemistry/talent makes me appreciate what I don’t need to see. I know what it is and these two have IT!
The wrap up was great and I would watch this story again. Of course I am now an even bigger Ji Chang Wook fan as this role has been stamped “worth every minute” he’s on screen on it!
Enjoy.

Wow long time ago I didn't watch such a great drama like this one It has all the great complete aspects
Strong plot, solid story, amazing romance, nice action, great comedy
It has also friendship, love, betrayal, parental love
I was enjoying every second while watching it
But what annoys me much
As usual .... The END
The most weak point at KD's
It was too rush
It missed a lot
I needed to know
What happened to (park sang won)
And what's going to happen to someday newspaper and it's employees
What happened between FL and her mother
And what happened to ( Kim mi kyung ) is she retired or still helping them
I think it was going to be great if they added just one ep. to explain all that
Specially the drama wasn't boring at all so one ep. Would explain a lot
But still one of the most amazing dramas
I think dramas between 2012-2016 were greatest dramas really

at first i really don't watch this drama, i thought that it will be dragging. but words can't really explain how good the production was made. the writer sure has a vague imagination to have this story. honestly the story could be compared to another drama in the past but i guess this is a bit futuristic and the continuity of the story is quite interesting. mind boggling as it is. the drama and the comedy side are good. i am really not a fan of Ji Chang wook but i say he is good in interacting with his co-actors.
overall this one is really fun and also exciting to watch. :)

don't get me wrong. I pretty much have a great time watching it.
I was having a block in terms of watching k-dramas and decided to give Healer a chance since Ji Chang Wook is one of my favorite Korean actors (and again manages to hold his place). I really enjoyed the story a lot, the amount of clichés was impressive, but not in a way that was overwhelming or made me stop watching. Honestly, I found it easy to follow episode after episode and it took less than 3 days to finish watching.I liked the cast and felt the chemistry between the characters, although the way the romance grew between them could have been better, I felt like the only reason there was attraction was that they knew each other as kids without knowing it.
Beyond that, I found the chapters very interesting, the action scenes were good and I managed to empathize with the characters.
But I must be honest, at some point I felt that the plot lost its way and just a bunch of random things happened that without being very convincing for the viewer turned out to be convenient for the plot itself, but I must say that I didn't care much and kept watching. On the other hand, I liked the ending, but it needed more emotion or maybe it's just me, I felt that it lacked depth in how some things turned out (like her relationship with his birth mother and what happened with Kim Mun Sik).
Anyway, yes I would recommend it for those who enjoy cliché stories, action and romance and are familiar with the characteristic structure of k-dramas.

I tried and failed to like this lol.
This was very mid for me I’m not gonna lie. I have never been one for action-heavy plots but I was hoping the one in this drama would be interesting enough to keep my attention since it was so highly rated by pretty much anyone I spoke to. Overall, while I did enjoy the dynamic between our main leads, I cared very little about the central action plot, and once it took over the whole storyline, I pretty much checked out of the drama and watched the rest at 2x speed. I can see why this could be someone’s favorite, and I can’t find any glaring issues with this drama besides my own personal lack of interest and a very weirdly rushed ending. Happy watching if this is your thing! Was this review helpful to you?

LIKEThere was this scene where Yeong Shin and Jung Hoo were attending a press conference and they did not have an invitation - hilarious much
DISLIKE

Look Who's Stalking!
This is a totally original Kdrama that doesn't follow the usual formula (except for the knowing each other as kids bit)! The main theme music seems a bit of a mismatch for the action and is calm & easygoing while the cool action scenes are playing out but somehow it works and is instantly recognisable as the Healer tune.
Ji Chang-wook & Park Min-young as the leads look so young! They get my vote for the most adorable, cutest couple ever to grace the small screen. When I watch them I think...ahhh that's what love is really like! I have to say I love Ms Jo (AKA Kim Mi-kyung) this has to be my favourite character I have ever seen her play (and she's played a lot)! Every character is beautifully acted and incorporated fully into the storyline, This is the secret to every successful drama. There is a sort of docu-edgy cool feel to the drama. It really is impeccably written. There are some really memorable scenes and great dialogue which demonstrate how creative the team were behind this. The last 2 episodes veer off into another direction, but it does not distract from the overall arc.

Complete entertainer
Healer was one of the first K dramas I watched. This was a wholesome experience. I mean ticks almost all checklists for entertainment . Even after watching so many Kdramas it stands out and I guess that’s what make it popular. It caters to all sort of people. You have a macho hero who also can be a cutie in another version ,sometimes dumb FL who has a character and sizzling chemistry between them. It also unravels a mystery with amazing action sequences. The ending initially felt a bit underwhelming, but now I find it ok after diving deep into K drama world.😂
A must watch for beginners.👌

This series had camaraderie, romance, action, humor, a solid plot, fabulous acting, and no wasted characters. It had 20 episodes and I found myself watching every single one without skipping through the scenes. My only qualm (and it's really not a big deal) is that the action scene choreography is a bit dated, so what was likely very cool and cutting edge then, is a littttttttle bit cheesy to watch now. I *did* end up skipping through those scenes a bit just because it took me out of the scene a little bit unnecessarily. The OST was nice and I liked the song that they played for the main leads whenever they had a romantic beat. It reminded me a little bit of an 80s Simple Minds track.

Even bought myself the military hat healer wears to remind of his cool ass moments - i definitely wont be running on top of buildings with it tho???
Also shoutout to the composers of the ost. For making it great.
A must watch if you are into similar - Action, romantic, comedy, defective etc dramas.
