A couple great actors were wasted with this drama - I started it for Lee Jang Woo (and I loved his character, but around episode 20+ something I couldn't believe a decision he made that seriously made me wonder about his sanity... o.O) I was so ticked off I almost dropped it (and as I look back I should have) but I endured a torturous 30 more episodes :/ Jang Mi's family was horrible - everyone besides the sister. Cha Dol's family was awesome but rather stupid in choices they'd make... I loved the mother as well as the actress who played her (my forever East of Eden mom) but her talents were wasted here along with LJW's....
My most hated characters were: Baek Jang Mi, Baek Man Jong, Go Yeon Hwa, & Ma Pil Sun (another very talented "grandmother" actress wasted). BJM a girl with no brains. BMJ a money hungry loser. GYH a suspicious and naggy wife. MPS a horribly imaginative mother-in-law who only made her daughters marriage worse every day. - all these characters destroyed the drama for me.
Music: was ok but that's it.
I will NEVER rewatch this drama - it's one of the most disastrous and worst dramas I have seen up till now.
I only managed to complete it b/c of 3 reasons: I didn't want to drop yet another drama. I was curious about Cha Dol's past. & I wanted to see what would happen to the only saving grace couple of the drama - Park Se Ra & Go Jae Dong...
Just Don't put yourself through the torture of this drama.

The fast-forward button was my friend...
Your enjoyment of this show will largely depend on your tolerance for the weaselly little rat that is the female lead’s father. He is the primary reason for the show’s unnecessarily lengthy 52-episode count. He is insufferable, and you’ll quickly realize why. I was astonished by how he manages to insert himself into conflicts that do not concern him. The character is written in such a one-dimensional way that his actions will make you angry again and again. With 52 episodes I gave him a chance and was hopeful, this was a mistake. It reached a point where I was primarily invested in the main storyline involving the male and female leads and their daughter, and the challenges they faced together. It was truly touching. I mean, how difficult can it be to plop a sad little girl on screen and not make you root for her and her parents?
Everything else began to feel overwhelming. The intertwining drama among the three families started to become too much. There are other relationships a plenty, but I reached a point where I no longer cared. The fast-forward button became my friend to the finish line because I just had to know how everything ended without dropping the show. I was satisfied with the ending, but it wasn’t easy to reach.
Otherwise, it’s acted well enough. The visuals appear somewhat dated as I am watching this in 2024 and K-drama visuals have come a long way.

oh god!!!
This show is an absolute disaster that should have never seen the light of day. I don't usually like to be overly critical, but I can't hold back on this one—it's a complete dumpster fire! Seriously, stay far, far away from this hot mess. And if, against all reason, you still decide to watch it, brace yourself for a never-ending barrage of disappointment and regret.
Now, let's talk about Jang Mi's father—oh boy, what a worthless sack of shit ! He's the epitome of everything you don't want in a character. From his despicable actions to his infuriatingly stupid decisions, he's a walking, talking pile of steaming shit that adds nothing but frustration to an already abysmal show.
Save yourself the trouble and avoid this abomination at all costs. You'll thank me later for sparing you from this insufferable waste of time. Trust me, you deserve better than subjecting yourself to such a trainwreck.
