Both are dramas with the same kind of psychological game show format where people have to face themselves and their true selves are revealed to the public. Both involve a complicated connection between the characters that is revealed over time. They also have the same kind of pacing and the villains remind me of each other.

Both have to due with psychology. Though the plot doesn't really have much in similar other than maybe that both stories about testing that is imposed on people (to different extremes though). Watching Madam Antoine might make up for the lack of romance between Da Jung and Woo JIn.
Beautiful stories of changing the lives of others.

Both are very game based. The characters are continuously faced with games (which relate to their current problems in the plot) and need to find a way to solve them (to move forward with the story; save someone or themselves, get something, etc).

The similarity : AWESOME VILLAIN !

Eventhough Liar Game and YWCFTS are a completely opposite drama when we see them from the genre, there is one fact that you couldn't deny:
Both of this drama cast Shin Seung Rok as the antagonist...
And it suits him well...
HE KILL IT!

I think if you're looking for a drama with an amazing antagonist character, you should try to watch Shin Seung Rok in Liar Game & YWCFTS ;)

Beautiful stories about how certain belief can change the lives of others. Test and trials of plenty, and in the end, friendship or comradery is the answer.

"The Genius" is basically a real life "Liar Game" with clever celebrities.

There is a lot of logical thinking, tricky situations and even betrayal.

Has a concept with the Game part. Both protagonists try to win this game, and has to use their brains to do so.

Similarities:
-Both involve games that involve winning money
-Both are based on Japanese Manga's
-Both involve stuff that deals more on the psychological side
-Both very suspenseful
-Both involve genius male lead characters

Differences:
-Liar Game is less violent
-Liar Game has many different games whereas Animal World only has Rock, Paper, Scissors
-Liar Game is a televised show in the drama whereas Animal World is not televised
-In Animal World there is less team work being done
-Animal World is a movie whereas Liar Game is a drama
-Animal World is Chinese, Liar Game is either Japanese or Korean (depending which version you watch)
-In Animal World when the main character gets angry he sees himself as a A Badass Villain fighting Clown, in Liar Game nothing like this happens
-When the Clown comes out in Animal World there is a lot of CGI, you won't find that in Liar Game

They are both very much alike, I recommend both!

Both have twists and turns to keep you second guessing everything. Both are written cleverly. Trust is an issue, rightfully so.

You'll love this if you want a vicious villain like in I Hear Your Voice. Shin Sung-rok acted as one perfectly. It's about a fierce competition over money that depends on trust, (lies), and deception. A favorite of mine! The story will keep you watching until the end (and wanting more). Also, Lee Sang-yoon and Kim so eun made a great team.
