I can not recommend this movie enough, as it is one of the greatest factors of the beginning of my connection to Korean cinema and television.

Greatest zombie film ever made (full of various emotions)
If you ask me to name Best Zombie film, I will say "Train to Busan". This is one of the Greatest Zombie Film ever made !Coming from English/US movies background, I normally exposed to trilling bloody horrors when come to Zombies.
I watched this in movie theater back in 2016 . My friend told me it was korean zombie and a lot of friends recommended that one. My friend dragged me to the theater and I just followed without expecting much and without convincing much. But in the end of movie, I couldn't thank my friend enough :)
Along the movie, I run with them, I laughed, I cried, I screamed together with my room full of fellow movie mates .. It was a emotion roller coaster and you will find true human nature of own survival. You will find true color of people when it comes to survival. This movie diverge from norms of other zombie movies and portray different perceptive.
I can only say this to you.. Just watch it, you will thank me in the end.

Train to Busan makes all of that feel like child's play. I was on the edge of my seat from the very beginning, and there were times I was practically screaming at the tv screen. I watched this with 2 friends and all of us were freaking out the entire time. What makes it scarier is that people don't really become zombies -- they become infected with a virus that just wants to spread. They're not flesh-eating, but they will do whatever it takes to spread the virus. It reminded me a lot of World War Z, especially because infected people move with almost superhuman speed and without a care for pain or destruction to their bodies.
The acting in this film was phenomenal. Every single cast member did a great job. Sometimes I cried, sometimes I wanted to scream, but most of the time I found myself just completely engrossed in the action and relationships that were developing (and dissolving) as everyone on the train to Busan fought desperately for survival. The ending made me ugly cry, and I truly didn't expect that from a "zombie" film. This was so well done and I can't help but recommend it to everyone that I speak to.

Zombie Freak
So first off this is yet another Gong Yoo movie I LOVED. I can't get enough of his acting skills. If you love Zombie's look no further. This is definitely unlike any other zombie movie I've ever seen, had a bit of the basics but gave me a new insight on how to protect myself from zombie's in the future lol I'm really not much of a zombie person because of the fact they're so repetitive with the plot but this kept me in a trance. It gets emotional toward the end but overall definitely worth the watch. I really don't think you'll be disappointed with the performance from everything ranging from actors to graphics. Was this review helpful to you?
I wouldn't say this is a horror movie, because you don't exactly feel scared when watching it. I felt mostly sadness and frustration, hoping for all of them to make it in the end. Everything happens unexpected and therefore you cannot look away. Time flies by and therefore it will come as a big surprise when the movie ends. For 2 hours, my heart kept beating in a quick pace even until the last minute! It's such a beautiful story, not only a plain zombie movie. The actors played their part unbelievable well, from the little child to the halmonies - even the zombies played their part exceptionally! This is a movie I will always watch again and again, so go watch it if you haven't! It's marvelous!

I don't know where to begin. This film is an absolute masterpiece. From the director to the actors, each part of every scene was incredible. At first, I was a little hesitant to watch this. Boy, am I glad I did!I thought it was going to be your typical horror movie- zombie outbreak, zombies kill everyone, hero saves the day and all is well. This was so much more than that. I grew attached to each character in this film. I felt their pain, their anger and their sadness. It was a heartbreaking scene for me when Jin Hee got bitten. I could feel the devastation of Yeong Guk, and as cruel as this sounds, I'm sort of glad they went out together- it's how their story ended. They never officially told each other about their feelings, so having them die together showed their love.
Also, when Sang Hwa and Seo Woo I felt the pain Sung Kyung and Soo An. Even I started sobbing when Seo Woo 'jumped' of the train. In the end, his daughter realised that her father loved her and got to say one final goodbye.
Every moment had me hanging in the edge of my seat, and although I already know what happens, I will definitely watch this again. I have no doubt that I will be just as nervous of heartbroken when re-watching it for the fifth time!

Acting was top-notch! As always Gong's acting is superior. I was really surprised by the little girl's acting. In the beginning I felt she was too stiff, but wow, towards the end you can see how much she had developed her character.
Loved the cast. I literally recognised every major character because I had seen them all in other projects they were in. I really felt for them. I love that everyone's characters were given a chance to shine. I really thought the movie was onky going to focus on the father and daughter. Happy I was wrong.
Will for sure recommend this to a friend because it's honeslty a pretty good Korean movie. ????????

Kidding, but not kidding at all. Actually, I'm really sad.
The story is just perfect.
Ok, it is another Zombie movie or some stuff, but everything seems new.
The acting is great, cinematography is just awsome in here, the music also made me so tense. I WAS SHAKING WHILE I WAS WATCHING THIS, OK?
I don't know why, this is not horror at all, but I felt fear. I was covering my self with my blanket.
By knowing what happens, I would not have the same feeling that I had while watching it for the first time, but still worth to rewatch. I loved it.

TRAIN TO BUSAN AND MORE!!!
4 years late in watching this spectacular movie which was launched in 2016. Better late than never! It will go down in history as a classic. Good to watch any year, any season.Who can believe that a Zombie action movie can be so on point to build a story around a relationship between father and daughter. My heart pounded throughout the movie, and yes, my heartstrings were played to the maximum. Tears could not be contained.
I will not write too much about the movie itself as there are many reviews already. However, the show truly was a breakout movie for Korean Movie Industry as it gross more than USD100 million world wide. Directors from USA complimented Korean Director Yeon Sang Ho for a job well done with story, good script, production and talented cast. "It is so good, it cannot get any better".
Gong Yoo and Don Lee immediately became more popular in the international market.
Fighting!! Gong Yoo and Don Lee. K-Movies Forever

It's not a real horror, you won't jump out of your chair (this doesn't mean that it's not fraightening). Instead this film is more like a drama (unless you have a stone instead of your heart, you're gonna cry your eyes out).
The characters are well depicted and, as the film goes on, you'll came to know them better and empathize with them.
All the actors have done an amazing job, especially Gong Yoo. Seok Woo (the main character) develop during the film. In this situation in which life is put on danger, he came to understand what really matters and what he did wrong. I can definetelly say that the father- daughter relationship is the key of the whole story.
The zombie apocalypse bring out the better and the worse of everyone. It's in unexpected situation that you came to see how someone really is.
It's one of my favourite movie ever. I screamed and cryed for almost two hours and it's worth it.
A MUST WATCH!
I recommend it to everyone, even those who don't particularly like zombie movies.
I will defenetely rewatch it!

A thriller I never knew I needed!
Wow, just wow. This thriller was something! The storyline was actually realistic, not some fairytale scenario where things magically work out just because but everything that happens has reason and emotions tied with it. When I say I'm ready to rewatch it NOW, I'm READY!
Acting - what a phenomenal group of actors. They all gave a STELLAR performance, but the CHILD ACTRESS - omg chills, right down to the last scene. I love that I saw some familiar faces in this movie like Gong Yoo, Choi Woo-Shik, Seok-Yong Jeong, and Jang Hyeok-Jin!
This is a must-watch
