Mo Mo is an unusual and eccentric college junior called by the nickname Jun Chi. He meets Mal Ja at a singing contest and falls for her quickly, but she is already engaged. He competes with Mal Ja's boyfriend but realizes that he is no match for him and voluntarily parts with her. He goes on a journey. Watching the sunrise on Seorak mountain, he comes up with an idea for a new song and compose music to Mal Ja's lyrics. He takes the song to the contest and moves Mal Ja.
