The cast was really awesome! I saw some of my favorite stars from previous dramas and some new faces as well! All of them portrayed their parts well, and Jasper has really improved in his emotional scenes (from Pleasantly Surprised). Jet and Jasper's character both had fantastic character development and were characters with a lot of layers/depth. Both of their characters were what made me continue watching because it was just so fascinating to understand both of them more. Of course, the OTP was cute too. Mandy and Jasper had more chemistry the second half! The side characters were great too. They were consistent with their character and it seemed like all of them had a story underneath their exterior, which was consistent with the title of this drama, When I See You Again. I liked how the director was detailed enough to give many of the characters time to tell us their story too, adding to the overall depth of the drama!
Music was very catchy so no complaints there! Not my favorite OST of all time but good enough!
Re-watch isn't that high because their were a lot of surprise elements in this drama. Thus, I think that it wouldn't be as good the second time around. However, as usual, I would go back and watch my favorite cute scenes between the leads! All in all, I recommend this drama to everyone who likes a good romantic drama and some "politics" mixed in. Of course, if you're a Jasper fan you cannot miss this drama! (9/8.5)

Gladly, this isn't the case here. This drama is sweet and not over dramatic. Some might find the push and pull game boring and think it's dragging too long but there is a reason for that. The cast are good and have chemistry. Maybe the best thing for me in this drama is the lead's smile. It's melting me.
In conclusion, the drama is not bad. It won't be the BEST drama you have even seen but it's sweet and if you have time, give it a try.

The cast at times were very enjoyable. Filled with the usual, life lesson, hurt, anger, cuteness, loads of dimples, smiles and playfulness, over coming obstacles, learning from your mistakes and the opportunity to START over again. It was cute, it killed some time but I would not be able to re-watch this again. It was not the best acting but as time passes the cast grows on you. Not the best overall but also not the worst either. it's enjoyable.

The overall story was really good. But this drama could get an award for "Dumbest Main Female Lead" Honestly at times I was shocked at just how dense and stupid her character was. I've read other comments and reviews saying she gets better but I really don't agree. She was terribly annoying throughout the whole thing.
The first 10 episodes were so slow. It took a long time before the plot moved forward. The last four episodes were also very disappointing and I found myself just skimming through some of them. Not enough events took place in my opinion. 20 episodes were too long for the content. It could have been a 12 episode drama instead. The writers had a good story idea and they ruined it.
The music...well that's something else. I really didn't like the music. There was maybe one song that I found acceptable and that was it. I don't think the songs really amplified the emotions of the drama or did anything really.
What I DID like were two things: The acting (specifically Jet Chao and Jasper Liu) and Jet Chao's character (Hu Yan Ze). If it weren't for these two things I would have definitely been unable to continue the drama. I felt most of the characters ESPECIALLY Mandy Wei's (An Xi) were very empty, boring, and bland characters. Jet Chao's character (Hu Yan Ze) was the only exception. His character kept me interested and made me develop a lot of mixed feelings for him. You don't know whether to hate him or like him, but I personally settled for liking him. He was the only well written and interesting character in my perspective, and Jet Chao's acting was superb, which only made me like him more. Japer Liu's acting was also brilliant. Mandy Wei's acting was really good, but her character was just unbearable.
Overall, I would not watch this again, and I would ONLY recommend this to someone for Jet Chao and Jasper Liu. No other reason.

Wow .. and not a good 'wow'
The only reason this got a 5 rating was for Jasper Liu.I can watch this man paint a room on mute and be entertained.
(hello dimples!)
I have suffered through it this long, I figured I might as well finish it off (it took me longer than a year).
Most of the cast made it semi-enjoyable.
Side stories were obnoxious.
No second lead syndrome.
I didn't like the FL.
Her look (that hair - eeek!) was off, nothing seemed right about her.
Her acting was sub-par and the two leads had NO CHEMISTRY.
*sigh*
How can you not muster up even a little chemistry with Mister Liu?

The first couple of episodes were good? Then it got very dull for a bit but ramped back up towards the end. So it’s worth sticking out a bit of grind at the start.
Acting/characters - Everyone was ok, I really like the guy who played Yan Ze but he is better in Love Cheque Charge. I enjoyed the lead girls’ friends a lot.
Plot - too much of the plot could have been resolved by having a normal person conversation for this to really work for me. I had a few ....problems... with how some things resolved.
Music - I don’t even remember the theme and I only just finished this so not very memorable either - so not terrible but not amazing either.
Overall it’s not a bad watch - I did finish the whole thing without skipping any - but there are other better dramas too.

Ok one
The way story start it sounds interesting ,i thought she work under him something like boss and secretary story and where he torture her and slowly he will realised his mistake that he misunderstood her but it is not like that there was another track but it is ok because there were so many boss and secretary story...drama has different story line ,i liked the romance between them but sometime they too much extend the episodes where it looked like that it was not needed. They should show some flashback story related to why hers mother leave her. I like other couples too ..but only one couple story completed but other remain unexplained ,drama show their love story start but it would be great that they (director) had completed each one story ...i would like to see their (main lead) marriage but...It is a OK story.

I enjoyed it, but that's purely subjective
It may not be the best drama or whatever but I think they deserve the credit for wrapping it up nicely. The story connected from the beginning till the end, even I was surprised at how well thought through it was. Even though it dragged on a bit, it's still a cute little drama that has a lot of precious moments and good lines that resonated with me. Maybe it's because I rarely watch Taiwanese dramas, but I feel like compared to korean ones they have a bit more dimension in terms of the variety of emotions.I could understand when An Xi couldn't completely commit herself in a relationship because of a certain someone that she felt guilty towards. I could understand Yo Qian when he was angry at her for hurting him. If I think back there wasn't much revenge involved anyways. Whats more it felt like the things i wanted to see, played out in front of me. Like when An Xi was stuck and shy, but her friends pushed her forward. Another thing I liked was how the conflicts between the characters weren't exaggerated, for example the misunderstanding between An Xi and Yo Qian, normally it would've taken a few episodes for them to forgive each other but they reunited in the same episode. Also let's appreciate the Lunar Maria gang, they were so precious, sweet and funny. Their dialogs were often witty and full of sense. Honestly I feel like the script was written better than korean ones, or maybe it's just because I am used to them. Anyways, it was a fresh breath of air!I came here after watching Jasper's Before we get Married and tbh i was super annoyed at how the story unfolded and I have to say though the cinematography, production and maturity (also "when i see you again" is not tHAT realistic) is a lot better in that one, i personally would still prefer something like this.

If you love optimistic plots or sheer sincerity, this one is for you
I am at a loss of words. The writer did a phenomenal job to write all the dialogues with perfection. I am used to Chinese,Thai or Korean shows. Many a times the words are fillers and have nothing to do with the story line. Here every spoken word or gesture meant something. There were lots of extra characters but apart from the mom and the side FL, I didn’t dislike anyone. The main theme, metamorphosis of the ML instead of the FL was so refreshing. It was quite realistic to see the insecurities of the male lead and his longing. For the FL, I absolutely adored her positivity and optimism. In many ways she was as dejected as the ML but her belief in humanity gave her the contagious germs of contentment and trust. Everyone around her felt the same after meeting her.The other amazing theme was no matter the time lapse, the leads were very faithful without realizing what they meant to each other. It’s hard to find dramas with this much sincerity.
For the side couple, I loved how the purity of the girl fought the demons of the SML. Again, it was a pleasure to watch an older man with a younger girl. Normally all age gap themes are Noona shows.
The 20 episodes felt like watching a peaceful stream. 14 and onwards were a stream that went through steep meandering. The focus changed from main theme to all the side characters. It seemed like a season 2 of the first part but the 2nd season was well executed. To me it felt even shorter as a lot of the time was dedicated to the FL’s mom and her so called protégé daughter. I have no sympathy for characters like these who make other people’s lives miserable year after year till eons. One fine day they become angels and the reel life shows them as characters who should be forgiven and even loved more than every other character of the show. The mom reminded me of the Korean tv moms who ditch their kids and come back at adulthood after brutally damaging the childhood of their kid. The kid had been longing for them and now will even feel bad for the MIA mom that it must’ve been a hard choice for her to leave. Good for them but I don’t like selfish characters(just my opinion) so yup anything after episode 14 still connects with the main theme but is a distant off shoot. Oh the trio of cute bad guys… what was that? So so so cute. Looked like a very faithful Humpty Dumpty. Btw His two minions wore these coolest white pants with cheetah face, bro I want that pant- ha ha.
The backdrop was beautiful. The small mountainous beach town looked pretty in every scene. The scallion(green onion) picking, seaweed farming and the ring making scenes were unique and a treat to watch.
All in all I enjoyed the well written closure to every character. The Leads were excellent actors who did justice with their written characters. Their chemistry was amazing and romantic scenes were well performed. Overall this was a heart warming wholesome treat.

Droppable or Unstoppable
I watched Mandy Wei in Deja Vu and she is much, much better in this drama! An Xi has a ton of personality, yet has her ditzy moments.Another positive is the support characters. The series developed some stories for them which other dramas sometimes lack. Additionally, the music is probably one of the best if not the best of any Asian drama series I’ve watched so far.
However, I do have mixed feelings about You Qian. His name is hilariously accurate and he is hella cute, but he was too clingy towards An Xi sometimes through the first half of the series. At one point, I was getting soooo tired of his behavior that I was very close to dropping the series (I entirely skipped episode 9 actually…).
Overall though, I think I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a series with deep characters, yet some little funny/quirky moments.
