Chungking Express (1994)

Both are films directed by the legendary Wong Kar Wai and star Tony Leung and Faye Wong. They have a beatiful soundtrack and visuals and explore similar themes of yearning.

Both are well made romance movies. They are my favorites even now. Haven't seen a movie better than these 2 for me so far.

Both female leads have a similar way of courting male leads but their actions have different outcomes

It was originally conceived as the third story for Chungking Express, but Fallen Angels can be considered a spiritual sequel due to similar themes, locations and methods of filming, while one of the main characters lives in the Chungking Mansions and works at the Midnight Express food stall."

Both are critically acclaimed romance films directed by Wong Kar Wai. Tony Leung plays a main character in both too.

Both movies portray life segments of melancholic, lonely and thirsty for love cops and have the same artistic and intriguing noir vibes, with stunning neon-textured cinematography and magnificent night shoots across city streets.

Both are really similar when it comes to plot, photography, and directing. Truly similar movies; whether you like one or another, you will for sure like the other one.
