Reviews
Likes vs Dislikes
Likes:1. The acting in this series is well done.
2. The storyline behind the series was well designed
Dislikes:
1. Never was it addressed the role the mother played in what the grandmother did, regarding the baby. She literally got off scott free, and never truly apologized to the biological mother.
2. The daughter could see all the wrong with the biological mother, but not the wrong in the mother who played the role in the grandmother's actions.
3. The true victim was the one who had something taken from her, yet she is always the one who is apologizing and looked down upon.
4. The thing I found the most interesting is that had the grandmother not done what she did, everyone's life would have been so much different. What happened to both of Bong Lee's fathers may not have happened, at all...because what happened was mainly based on who the biological father married.
5. No one ever asks to hear the story of what the grandmother did, in detail. If so, the mother's wrongful action would have been recognized. Time after time, the mother listened to untruths but never apologizes...and she is given this look of being this great mother. She should have gone to jail. That was the biggest disappointment. She needed to feel the backlash of her actions, as well. She was made out to be almost faultless. The biggest emphasis in Korean dramas are that people pay for their sins, yet the mother never paid for hers. Regardless of the reason she what she did, because of what she believed to be true, a crime was committed. She was an accessory to what the grandmother did..and it all could have been resolved if she either spoke to her husband from the beggining, or trusted in him later on.
6. The mother's greed was ridiculous. She had three children...meanwhile the biological mother could not even have one...and the mother never cared about that. All she cared about was herself and what she wanted. I my opinion, she was a villain made to be looked at as a hero.
