Now that I think about it minutes later after posting. It's crazy how the main female is considered ugly. Her only issue was pink cheeks. How is that ugly, kinda sad about what the definition of beauty and ugliness is considered. Would be hard for any female or male with a flaw slight flaw to live comfortably without ridicule on looks or weight. Low self esteem issues, yaHHHHHh.

perfect to start your drama journey
this was my first drama in my drama journey and when I saw the ad. about this drama I crave so hard to watch it so I finally watched it and it was like very special to me but the only thing I kinda don't like about this drama is that there should also be an happy ending for second lead. And it was clear to everyone that the girl was more loved by second lead than by main lead evev when shewas notso beautiful.
the main lead obviously started liking her when she became beautiful as well as when her best friend min Hari pretended to be her they both kissed.

I've seen people on the internet that really liked the series but maybe it wasn't for me.
I even thought of another flow for the story. Lol

A purely hopeful and bright rom com
She was pretty was like a breath of fresh air that you didn't except, it was this incredibly adorable, precious correlation of sisterly love, romance, humor and dreams. The love between the main girl and her best friend made me cry multiple times, it was so relatable and beautiful. Side Oppa was flawlessly funny and like a Ray of sunshine that followed the main girl everywhere she went. Main Oppa started out very unlikable but by the end all was forgiven. Main girl was anything in the world but remotely ugly which was one of my 2 critics along with the fact that I wish they would've put side oppa and her BFF together. As far as a character goes Main girl was this energetic ball of determination, selflessness and authenticity. She was a true friend and a true positive spirit who never felt sorry for herself or who let her curly hair, or her mild rosasha and freckles stop her from overcoming adversity. Her hideousness would not prevent her from achieving whatever she set her mind to. The storyline hooked me from episode 1. It was so unique and you were always wondering what was going to happen next. Even when I spent days away from the show whenever I would come back it would be like reuniting with an old friend who filled you with such warmth and happiness you forgot why you'd lost touch. All the characters except maybe 1 had great personalities and purpose and even the little side couple made me swoon way more than I thought I would. It was bright, hopeful and 100% recommendable. Was this review helpful to you?

Women first, men come later.
Actually, I wanted to write a usual review, but soon it became clear that this is a poorly disguised women's film. This Romcom shows again the old wisdom of the Hopi Indians: "A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle!
Although the insidious women's wars because of men everyone knows were fought here too, the author covers everything with women's solidarity. Any problem could probably have been solved immediately if the two girlfriends had married each other instead of competing for men. After all, the FL couldn't quite decide anyway!
Howling separation misery of the two women who will continue to live quite close to each other. A single tear for the beloved fiancé who had to go to America. The viewer would have been spared such misunderstandings, and much more, if women had married.
Also the corny brawn at the end, which was supposed to belatedly bring a romance back to memory.

Would Rewatch Any Day!!
A unique and captivating storyline centered surrounding two childhood friends filled with many comical moments. I found the story to be void of common cliches and filler scenes which I completely enjoyed. I found myself laughing in almost every episode as comical scenes were sure to appear often which created a lighthearted experience.I loved seeing the character developments of both the female and male leads. Although each character beings with flaws their journey helps them to become better individuals and come to understand themselves. I especially enjoyed watching Choi Si-won's funny character and his friendship with the female lead. The friendship between the female lead and the second female lead was remarkably strong.
In terms of the OST I would say that it is pretty alright but not anything too grand. Definitely not the worst I have seen.
Some things I didn't like was the attitude of the male lead at the beginning but glad it changed as the story progressed. I also disliked the female leads tendency to allow herself to be belittled at the beginning but I later understood why she allowed such things to happen. There were moments where I questioned the second female lead's choices and her commitment to her friendship with the female lead, but I later understood her reasons.
Overall, it is an entertaining Korean drama. I definitely would recommend it if you haven't watched it yet!

Character Development—What More Could You Ask for?
The need to see an uplifting show was certainly fulfilled through “She Was Pretty.”
I honestly enjoyed this show so much in such a surprising way that I felt compelled to write about it. Because of the lower rating and some harsher criticism I’ve seen, I wasn’t sure about the quality of the show, but it absolutely was not a disappointment.
While I understand the criticism of characters, acting, and even some story points, this story is about a journey. Contrasting the beginning of the show with the ending, the characters slowly become new people. The ending is truly one of the best I've seen.
If you enjoy character development and uplifting messages, I highly suggest this series. One of my favorite things about it was how there was little focus on the main character’s appearance, despite the synopsis. Even though she isn’t a runway model, no huge plots develop because of her anxieties with her appearance and the way others treat her (aside from, of course, the first episode to get the ball rolling). The show isn’t overly dramatic but fairly realistic in this way which was a highlight for me.
My rewatch value is actually my entertainment value, and my music also includes sound. Lots of work certainly went into the producing of this show, and I am so grateful for it. I hope you take the opportunity to see this one! It's a delight. :D
