Hyeong , I waited for about 3 months to watch this from the first time i read it's name on a streaming site , why ? because right under the name i could see a flood of comments about how emotional or tear-jerking this is .. and as much as i love these emotional movies , i didnt want to cry too much those days , so coming to the movie ..
the way it starts , you'd feel it's a light hearted feel good movie , the movie is very different from the usual synopsis you'd read everywhere , i thought it'd be about my penguin's accident , his struggles as a visually impaired person and the love-hate conflicted relationship with his brother , with the first two being in focus .. but the way the story progresses , you'll not even know that you're sinking down in the ocean of tears :3 okay , the film is taken in a way how 2 brothers would actually converse , all for the cursing and conversation part ..Jo Jung suk and Kyungsoo slayed their roles , absolutely stunning performances , I cried for hours and hours after watching the film , even after being so prepared ... the ost makes it even worse .. if i say i still can't get over it , it'd still be an understatement.

Not sure why it takes me so long to start watching this movie. Perhaps it is the title. The title sound like dumb or stupid movie. It is quite opposite. Don’t want to be spoiler. The acting was so touching. Two main actors now on my favorite list. The story touch everyone heart. What a sweet, heartwarming movie. If you like Do Khung Soo after this movie, watch “Swing Kids”. Solid performance and masterpiece on both movies.

The big brother is not annoying at all. He has his own way to adjust to living with his younger handicap soft gentle brother. He has his own way to express his gratitude. He left family at young age, have had hard life, he has to show his toughness. His soft hearted and caring personality has finally shown.

I thought Park Shin Hye was his sister at first, later realized she was his coach. Love her.

Worth watching. Great value. A change from thriller and romantic Korean movie for sure.

I am not sure if it is true story or not!?

Amazing Movie!!!

The acting of all the main cast was amazing. Do Kyungsoo and Jo Jungsuk are both have amazing acting skills and had a believable brotherly relationship. While the story was slightly cliche, it was cliche in a good way. When I decided to watch My Annoying Brother, I thought it was going to be a fun movie that would make me laugh. The movie did do that but it also made me cry. Overall an amazing movie that I would definitely rewatch after giving myself some time to recover. I especially loved watching the brotherly relationship between Do Kyungsoo and Jo Jungsuk's characters develop. I knew that Jo Jungsuk was very funny but I didn't know going into the movie that Do Kyungsoo would also make me laugh.

When perfect acting meets imperfect plot... it leaves a strong but short-lived impression

A touching story, but the script comes out lacking when put together with such superb acting.

It'll start by saying that this movie is not family-friendly. I would watch it with adult friends and siblings, but I wouldn't show it to my parents or underage kids. Too much cussing, suggestive scenes, morally questionable actions, etc.

Besides that, the trailer and the movie don't match. The trailer makes it look like it's all fun and games but that's not the case. It's heart-breaking actually, even if there are a couple funny scenes.

I did quite enjoy this movie though.
It's about reconciliation, sacrifice, closure, hope.
The actors did such an amazing job bringing out their characters and making them real. As the audience you become so attached to the main characters you can't help but feel what they feel and suffer alongside them (...I cried).

However, it's definitely not perfect. It has flawed pacing, a lacking plot and a somewhat rushed ending.
I won't go into details or give out spoilers, but I can't help thinking that with such phenomenal casting they could've polished the story itself quite some more.

To sum it up, after going up and down on an emotional rollercoaster... in the end it's a forgettable movie.
This might sound harsh but this movie doesn't bring anything new to the table. The tragic situation that gets revealed past the half-way-point was so predictable it almost became bland and, worse, it took attention away from what should be the main focus of the plot instead of adding to it. Also, the different plot pieces don't quite fit. There are a lot of typical tropes, but the main problem is really the lack of a clear objective on the scriptwriter's part.

I won't spoil it, but I'll leave you, who is going to watch or has watched this movie, with a question to wonder about: what made the older brother change?

...Will/Do you perhaps see what I mean?
I think you'll find that's the fatal flaw in this movie... What it does is make it seem that, ultimately, what caused him to change was an external factor rather than something that came out from within him after an inner struggle. External factors should remain as mere triggers, and change should come from a difficult choice. Otherwise things don't add up, it doesn't feel earned but lacklustre instead... They had the ingredients to do that in "My Annoying Brother". It's a pity.

Still, I think it's worth it to watch this movie.

emotionally annoying {satire

●FIRST IMPRESSION
The movie lives up to its title from start to finish. MY ANNOYING BROTHER, annoying until the end. Making a space into one's life forcefully in the beginning only to leave that space empty later is really annoying. I laughed, cried, and connected with the story emotionally.

●PLOT VIEW
It had a great story that kept me intrigued until the end like simmering into an emotional sweet and sour dish. Bromance was excellent as the brothers bond they clear up the past misunderstanding. Also, I think Do Yeong actually longed for his brother so he forgave him early rather than sulking over it for long. his emotional journey to the Paralympics is inspirational.

●ACTING/CAST
-Jo Jung Suk is excellent as ever. He melts into his witty and gritty character quickly.
-D.O. as a physically challenged sports person nailed it. His insecurities and fear were heartbreaking.
-Park Shin Hye's character didn’t create an impact. She felt like a mediator between the brother.

●MUSIC is minimal, the natural sounds keep the audience engaged with the story rather than the BGM or OST.

●REWATCH is YES because I liked the brothers bonding emotionally which gives me the strength to watch it again.

●FAV SCENE
Brother bonding in the hospital infront of the police.

●RECOMMENDATION
If you want a good dose of humor and an emotional roller coaster ride with lots of bromances, you must watch this movie.

●AFTERTHOUGHT
-It dwells in the life of a sportsman and shows that physical disability cant keep you from dreaming, you need to just take a step and start walking towards it.
-people give up their dreams thinking what others will say, society will say, etc etc but in the end one the person who lost their dream is hurt. nobody else cares. fight your dream emotionally for one day the world will give you a gold medal.

Such an awesome movie. The acting was so warm and good also the screenplay was amazing too. D.O. is such a good actor that i was in awe.? I enjoyed watching every scene in this movie. My first impression of “My Annoying Brother” was that it’s going to be comedy, but I was in for a surprise that this was a tearjerker. I couldn’t stop my tears from streaming down, I was literally sobbing like a baby. all in all I was somehow pleasantly surprised how deep the movie turned out to be. Definately recommend it. I'll give this 10/10

A new perspective to look at small details of life we fail to notice!

I would say "my annoying brother" is a really simple yet heart touching movie. Coming to the present when relationships between family members are
mostly quite strained. It just opens up and shows us the beauty of love. True love. Not between two different individuals but of two individuals who share the same blood.

The cinematography is not the best but this is a really old movie so quite acceptable I'd say. More than the plot , what brings a lot of attention to the movie is the realistic acting. The effort and emotion put into it makes the movie worth watching and moreover incredibly enjoyable

A great movie for all ages. Something you can always watch with your family and little kids. A mix of fun and sadness. The perfect balance I'd say.
I did shed a few tears watching the movie but this movie would always remain in my heart. It just stole a special place. I hope ya ll enjoy watching!!

I’ve been conned.

Okay, so I went in assuming that this is going to be a fun light hearted movie with lots of laughs and lighthearted aspects. Couldn’t have been more wrong. The movie does have its fair share of humour and the brothers share a beautiful relationship— one that isn’t perfect but they work on, and I absolutely loved their interactions and how they took care of each other later on— but there’s so much sadness as well. Did I spend the last half hour or so crying? Yes I did. Plot wise the movie is all right, but it’s the acting and the sibling bond they share that makes it unique. Towards the end I kept hoping for a miracle, but that doesn’t happen.

Started with a laugh, ended in tears

I watched this movie with my friend and we wanted to watch something light and funny. So we searched movies with the comedy genre. The start was looking good and we had a few laughs. However at one point, the movie takes a drastic turn.

At the start we see a man sneaking into another person's house. We then find out it's his half brother's house. Since Doo Shik hasn't been there for Doo Young during his life, their relationship isn't good. They are fighting and complaining about each other all time and Doo Shik seems like a prick honestly. However as the movie goes on, their relationship becomes better and Doo Shik helps Doo Young with the things that scares him. This truly shows how a brother should be, even if you hate him for a moment, he is there for you and you still love him, even though you might forget that.

After we find out Doo Shik has cancer, we get to see how devastated he gets. When everything was going well, he got kicked in the stomach with that message. We get to see how he lives his life to the fullest extent, doing what matters to him the most, spending time with and helping out his brother. I think the movie portrayed this in a very good way, and makes you think "would I have told the closest people to me if I had cancer?". It also reminds us that we should do the things we like, live a life that makes us happy, because one day, we might receive a similar message.

I also really liked the character development of Dae Chang and Doo Shik. They went from enemies to friends, helping each other out in their own ways. The same thing with Doo Shik and Soo Hyun, it starts off rough, but when they find out they got something in common, their love and care for Doo Young, their relationship also takes a turn.

This is the first movie that has made me laugh so much and also made me cry so much. It truly is a masterpiece that I would recommend to anyone wanting to watch an emotional roller coaster.

This is truly one of the best movie. The acting, the story line, the recording timing, the camera angles/techniques, and the background music are on the highest level of quality. I especially enjoyed the character development between the two brothers. It was very smoothly done.
As for Do Kyungsoo (D.O), I knew him as an idol but while watching this movie, I forgot he was an idol ans my UB!! This is his best acting work yet!
I 10/10 would like to recommend this, you won't regret it I promise. But don't be fooled by the trailer and
be prepared to cry a river because this movie is not just a comedy ; ).

I loved everything about this film, from its plot, actors, and its theme. It definitely exceeded my expectations. FYI, I don't write reviews hence this is my first time. You ask me why I decided to do it, well this movie is worth writing for. IT'S THAT GOOD! I highly praise D.O from EXO, his versatility will bring him success (it already did) but for the future to come, I hope he does more dramas because he's too talented not to be exposed again. And of course, Mr. Jo Jung-suk, he did wonderfully portraying his role, I cried my eyes out for this film. WITH THAT SAID, I swear to God WATCH THIS FILM!!!
