Similar genre and storyline, set on the almost same era of time. Related to pre war time and very similar love story.
Similar angst in the relationship where the ML and FL do love each other but have a lot of misunderstandings and external factors that tear them apart
-Both FLs are forced to marry a man who is not their husband who also treats her badly at the beginning.
-The ML starts off having "affairs" with other women and being a playboy.
-The FL both try and elope with their first love but are abandoned in the process which taints their name and only the ML is willing to marry them.
-Both have problems in the husband side of the family
Differences:
-BATC has more talk/focus about revolution, justice and freedom of the female sex
-ML in SIF loves the FL whereas the ML in BATC only married the FL because of revenge
-BATC has a happier ending

Both are written by the same author. Male lead’s character is very complex as he is involved in the downfall of her family (but not as dramatic as GBMP) and the drama is also very political. But it’s unique and the actors makes it astonishingly enjoyable. The story in SIF is not in chronological order so the beginning may be a little confusing to some audiences and uses flashbacks instead as it jumps 2 years later into their marriage while GMP’s events goes in it’s chronological order. But both leads carries hatred and vengefulness.
But don’t forget, the author is known as the step-mother of her novels and yes this is also a tragedy. Both are a bittersweet melodrama with great OSTs that compliments the angsty and tragedy of it.

Although these two seem very different, they actually have the same title with the title referencing the same thing: the mistiness/fogginess/obscurity of human emotions and interactions. Over all, Misty is better written and produced, but here are some other similarities:
- Not fluffy, more melo/dark.
- Complex female lead with layers who seems like she has it all but is actually struggling quite hard, both against the world and herself
- Complex male lead who is very in-love with female lead but strained relationship
- Couple that is essentially married in name and goes through relationship development
- Complicated political/workplace/societal environment with focus on the darkness behind the glamourous life of upper class

If you like Fall in Love you will also like Siege in the Fog. There is multiple couple involved and a love triangle among the main leads (obviously) and the same set location! Both dramas involve a Chines Republican Era romance and politics, among other genres like actions, drama, investigation, military, high end elites (warlords)...you get the gist.
Police officer Pang Hong Mei amid the many obstacles created by U.S. and Jiang spy agents, rescued Ji Danyang, a patriotic scientist who returned from the United States from the enemy spy. She accompanied Ji Danyang to Lumen City to participate in the "Water Drop Project". Enemy special forces formulated a sabotage plan codenamed "Operation Rock" and concentrated their forces and tried to destroy the "Water Drop Project." Pang Hongmei and Ji Dan Yang fought a life-and-death battle with enemy agents in Lumen, thwarted the enemy's conspiracy, protected the "Water Drop Project" and finally achieved the expected success. The couple who went through the test of life and death, also realized their dreams and firm ideals.
-Love triangle
-FL forced into marriage with ML
-FL loves the 2nd male lead who although loves her but doesn't sacrifice as much for her as the ML
-FL and ML don't get on at all and wishes to run -away with the second male lead initially
-Both 2nd male leads have other identities making it difficult for him to put the FL above all else unlike the ML in both dramas
