Archeologist Jack Lee keeps having reoccurring dreams of a past life, where he is the great General Meng who has sworn to protect a Korean Princess named Ok Soo. When his old friend William returns to his life telling scientific tales of a levitating Holy man in India. They decide to go investigating Indiana Jones style. However, when Lee stumbles on (more like almost gets crusted by) a tomb revealing a painting of the Princess from his dream, he begins unravelling the true connection between his past life and his current. Reviews
only for Jackie Chen action
We all love Jackie Chen and have watched his movies since childhood but this movie is like OK am not a fan of Jackie Chen but still watching this. Yeah, it disappoints in many aspects story, special effects, and the culture. It's the story of a Korean princess married to a Chinese king, and the general of that kingdom protects the princess. In modern-day archeologists search for a place with zero gravity. I was thinking that it's about Korean Princess married to a Chinese King but how come the remains of them are in a Temple protected by Indians, did they travel to India during the last days, so confusing. The mixture of culture is nice but being an Indian lets down the Indian culture IMO. The thing which hits hard is many Kings, archaeologists, and researchers who traveled to India had only come to loot the country which clearly shows in the movie.
The story keeps on jumping between past and present which sometimes confuses the audience.
The modern-day fight sequence was usual Jackie Chen vintage style but the historic stuff had cheesy swordplay.
In acting Jackie Chen never lets down, while Kim Hee-sun, beauty, her smile, her suffering, frustration, long patience everything is so vivid that it is really enjoyable to watch. Mallika Sherawat seems very attractive in her natural looks and her action was goofy.
By the way, the soundtracks match very well with the movie, the theme song "Endless Love" sung by Jackie and Kim is melodious and I updated my playlist with this song.
Rewatch is a NO for me as I would like to watch more of Jackie Chen's movie, but if anyone wants they can watch.

A wonderful movie
This movie is, in my personal opinion, extremely good. Although I have to admit that the switching from present to past and back again can be confusing if you aren't concentrating on the movie. Like all Jacky Chan movies, they all have their individual delights and highlight. This one is not any different. I find the storyline of this movie quite good and the actors + actresses all did a very good job bringing this movie to life.I would say watch it, if you find the synopsis and trailer intriguing / interesting. Rewatch also depends on your individual opinion of the movie after you are done. For me, I have watched it twice so far. I especially love the duet theme song. Beautifully sung!
