Well I liked the acting b/c it felt real. The rxns shown by the actors was exactly how u would think it would be in RL. I enjoyed the movement from place to place and the changing of time. U know me if I don't notice the music then it was good but in this some of the music was too loud but I am able to ignore those things after the inital affect it has on me.
I read a review of this movie and it said something about this movie being the first that was done completely in Manadrin and is focused more on the local audience. I think that is great b/c I believe that one way to increase happiness in ur ppl is to entertain them. Even though the economy is not great here and we r just trying to get by. I still try to take the family out to a movie every once in a while b/c it is almost always a good experience that makes a happy memory. Every1 needs that feeling. I am glad the Hong Kong movie biz is doing that for the ppl (not to mention the money).

What I did like was the acting. The actors made all thier characters feel believable and realistic. Another thing I liked was the comedy aspect. They didn't try to hard and added natural comedic scenes here and there.
What I didn't like was the story itself. It went back and forth between both guys and by the end I was like just pick someone already! But who I wanted her to end up with she didn't so kind of bummed... really though the ending is not really that believable to me. Did she really make the right decision for herself? Maybe a realistic decision but I don't think in her heart she did because really how can you get over a guy that quickly??Another thing I didn't like was all the time changes. You'll see what I mean but it was confusing because they dont tell you its been a certain amount of years till way after. So it gets a little confusing.
Well this movie was okay but the story could have been a little more stable.

A guy like Fang is quiet far-fetched in the real world while, u will be able to find someone like Cheung Shen, even just around the corner.. The ending of the movie is what we have always wanted it to be, which we don't usually get for movies concerning a love-triangle.. I'm very much pleased with this one.

I really liked the storyline and the acting was superb. At times I felt the plot a bit dragged and then rushed at the end but I enjoyed the humor and the cute romantic gestures that both Shen Ran and Qihong showed Zixin. The movie was modern and ha a few wow moments for me (I'm an oldfashioned gal) but overall I enjoyed the Hong Kong setting. I also found the movie very similar to Briget Jones diary (love triangle involving boss and some other guy) but still had that uniquity that makes it adorable.

The female lead, Cheng Zixin, was very wishy-washy, especially on her feelings towards the two male leads, Fang and Zhang. I felt that the male leads overshadowed what was supposed to be Cheng Zixin's story. The movie tried to present both Fang and Zhang as possible love interests, but I felt only one of the men was worthy of her. (And she didn't spend much time with him in the movie). The acting was superb, even if the characters weren't developed to their fullest potential.
The story was sort of confusing, especially with the romance plot. In fact, the romance weakened the story, though it was executed very well. The other elements of the story was okay, but nothing really to talk about. The ending didn't connect with the story that had been established. The movie obviously wanted it to be a surprise, but I felt it was tacked on at the last minute just to have a resolution.
I expected more from a HK film, which is supposed to be light and humorous. This movie was not as strong as other HK films I watched. Both the story and the characters were very meh for me.

Bridget Jones + King Kong + Post-its and a Toad
This is probably what you get if you take Bridget Jones diary meets King Kong and add a toad + start her off by getting dumped in Hong Kong + a bunch of other stuff. As out female lead is fun bubbly, and seems to be attracted to playboys and men who believe that there are two types of men they type who cheat and the type who want to cheat. Making me feel bad for the men of the world as the expectations towards them seem to be so low, so low so low...But then enters the third kind, the slightly obsessed type who will not only wait for the right person then may just may build a building in their honour... Even though they do not know their name.
But who will she choose the slightly obsessed man she has a crush on even though he seems to not be able to stop desiring other women or the other obsessed guy she put in the friend-zone but who only has eyes for her?
And what about the toad? the star of this movie who gets the toad? what will happen with this toad? and can you handle a movie where the star of the show is indeed a toad?
A fun watch, the quality may not be perfect, and some of the acting/screens are kind of meeh but the characters are interesting, the lines fun and the way they use post its is inspiring. So if you are in the mood for a Hong Kong drama.

So there is Zhang Shenran who is this guy who is completely in love with Cheng Zixin, and has been for years. He only waited so long because she was with someone at the time, but now that she is single again he finally approaches her. They happen to work in buildings that are facing opposite of each other and communicate through sticky notes and hand signals behind their office windows. However, Shenran has a bad tendency to be distracted/lured by other women despite how much he likes Zixin. He claims it is due to his "high testosterone level", which ultimately is what causes problems in the development of their relationship. Then there is Fang Qihong, the "Martian." He is morally speaking the popular choice because of the whole concept: 9 out of 10 men cheat, the last one is thinking about it and the 11th one is neither (Martian), which would be this guy. He is first introduced to the story when he saves Zixin from a car accident. At the time he dressed and acted like a homeless person, but was actually an architect who lost all inspiration and started drinking. However he becomes the one who cheers Zixin up from her last relationship, and she also inspires him to work again.
There ends up being so much bouncing back and forth (done in an annoying but comedic way where I ended up not minding it at all) and it actually leaves the viewers trying to guess who the female protagonist will end up with.
