Both movies are heartbreaking and they are both based on (sadly) true story.. It contains rape, injustice and at the end both movies will leave you crying or speechless, but both movies are worth watching and the actors are amazing, true masterpieces.

Similar theme about vulnerable children being abused, injustice & the struggles of them & those around them. Word of caution: Silenced is much darker than Children of Nobody, dealing with sexual abuse and contains more explicit scenes.

Both movies have the same vibe. Although Han Gong Ju is filmed more darker, Dogami has the same 'based on reality'-topic. Both are 'watch one time only' movies and I found Dogani more difficult to watch. (still wanna cry)

Both movies show the dark/harsh side of society. They both carry a heavy load, but at the same time it is amazingly put together.

I will not say that you will like the movie silenced, because it is way darker and more cruel than better days (the movie), but it is a bit similar to the original novel 'the youthful you who was so beautiful'. The sad/harsh part is that silenced is based on a true story, but it is a movie that is worth watching once if you can handle the dark element.

While that being said, if you want to watch something lighter with a dark aspect, I really recommend better days. Though it pictures the harsh reality that some students face, it also shows the amazing connection of love between two people. The acting is amazingly done.

If you liked the movie, I also recommend to read the original novel, which is a bit more intense, but you get also the details, which couldn't be put in the movie. I find both versions amazing and really beautiful, but emotionally heavy at the same time.

Two movies that involve children without parents, abused and used. In both movies there is a person that tries to protect them.

Both movies have a strikingly similar premise, and both are quite similar in terms of the overall mood of the movie. However, they have some slight differences in terms of what aspect of the problem was emphasized upon in both movies. These 2 movies complement each other really well.

They both share the psychological and abuse tags and are very dark on those themes, Silenced seems a bit darker since we are dealing with children abuse, Traces of Sin has child abuse as well, even if it is not as explicit, however there is abuse towards the intellectually impaired. Definitely worth the watch for those that enjoyed Silenced.

both are about corruption, child exploitation, and pedophilia

Both movies portray society's darker or tougher side. They each carry a heavy toll, but it is also remarkably well put together. Similar elements, like injustice and mistreatment of individuals who have disabilities, were present in both movies. Sadly, one is inspired by an actual story, and the other is not.

In contrast to Silenced, which centers on pursuing justice, A Christmas Carol centers on seeking revenge.

One of the things I noticed about A Christmas Carol was that it brought me the same pain and discomfort as Silenced did.
