I was really interested at the beginning but...
I found out about this drama while I was randomly searching for something to watch. I was kinda interested by the plot 'cause it had all the clichés that I really love in a drama: good-looking boss, the cute main girl character and the "teasing each other at the beginning but then falling in love" relationship. I watched the first 10 episodes in 2 days 'cause I was really enjoying it but then, from episode 11, I started to get bored. Basically from episode 11 to episode 14 we see nothing but flashbacks from the previous episodes and the story gets really slow. I was so freaking disappointed 'cause it's not the best drama that you will ever watch in your life, but it had some potential. The actors were really good (I was really impress by the male lead for example) and the show made me even laugh in some points. I recommend watching it, just lower your expectations for the second half of the series and the ending. Was this review helpful to you?

Boss from Hell (and not in a funny way)
Maybe I could have gotten into the story, if the core component of it were not the fact that the male lead abuses his position as employer vis a vis the female lead.Imagine the situation: You are at a new job. As a newbie, you are learning the ropes of what life will be like in this new company. And the first thing that happens, is that your boss tells you that you are bad at your job. Not once, not twice -- but continually. You need the job to live -- so you try harder, but the boss gives you no specific feedback, In fact, the situation escalates -- the boss now tells you that you need to do unreasonable things or you will get fired. This is the kind of boss that goes viral on social media when the story gets out.
Since this is a drama, Munchhausen syndrome kicks in and you fall in love with the boss.
Yep, beautiful story.
Definitely need to stop watching so-called romantic comedies. I am starting to demand a wisp of reality from them.
What was surprisingly bad and annoying was the music in this -- I have grown to expect world-class musical background in kdramas; this was nowhere in sight (or in hearing) in this one. Not that the music was necessarily bad -- it may have worked in a different context, and if it were integrated more into the story.
The actors try, but with this story they cannot succeed.

so sweeeet
Very heartfelt and pure. It takes an unorthodox way to fall in love and normalizes it a bit. What I loved the most was that even after a one night stand and years later, the main male character Jinwook does not try to be a spiteful, coldhearted bad guy. he's really sweet, patient and dedicated to the Yoo Mi. They have great chemistry and the show touches a lot into their complicated family background. Their love story is simply pure. what more can i say. I still adore this drama, for some reason it leaves those tingling lingering feelings. The side characters were great as well. Was this review helpful to you?
The acting was just fine, it wasnt bad but she could have done a better job.
The music is just fine. Overall, I do like this drama and I think its beautiful but they miss a lot of things, this drama could have been a masterpiece with those two main leads, but they just ruined it. Because the story has nothing special, it's repetitive EVERY single episode.

Those are my purely frivolous reasons for rating this an 8.
It had everything that I liked so I rated it accordingly. When looking for stuff to watch, I don;t always want deep plot lines to go with the romance, just good plotlines.
This had a good plot (fluffy, but good), and it was maybe an episode too long, but who doesn't like longer when there's an abundance of kisses added to the long bits? I have to say, I adored the characters here, not only because Cha Jin Wook stood firm with his feelings on his girl. Not once did he give up on her.
Hearts all around!!

Cliché Fluffy Rom-com
This is not like your typical k-drama where it takes 10 episodes for the lead couple to hold hands. Although, it does have some typical k-drama tropes (e.g rich family doesn’t want poor girl to be with their son).positives
+ kissing scenes were not cringey to watch unlike a lot of other older k-dramas.
+ the lead male falls first is one of my favourite tropes
+ the acting was amazing
+ a lot of chemistry between the leads
+ glad they didn’t drag out the best friend falling for female lead storyline
negatives
- not sure if it is because it’s an older drama but the production quality did not seem very high. The music at times were too loud that it was hard to hear the actors and then even without the music, the audio wasn’t the best at times.
- last 2/3 episodes dragged
- didn’t enjoy the mother as an adult actress storyline
It is definitely a drama to watch when you want cute fluffy scenes.

Story: (7) I didn't quite like how the story was written. I think it wasn't really thought through well enough, and everything that happened was very.. cliche? I don't usually watch work dramas because of all the cliche scenes I expect to see. However, I do like how the two got together at the end.
Acting/Cast: (9) This is the highest one mainly because how much I enjoyed watching this cast. I think they acted very well, and everything would have seemed realistic if it weren't so cliche. All the characters played their roles so well, that I actually felt bad for the Hyun Tae and hated Hyeri with my soul. They all suited their roles really well, so I was overall satisfied with this.
Music: (6) I don't care much for music on dramas, and nothing in this drama really caught my attention and made me want to personally listen to the song, so I guess a 6 is the highest I can give this.
Rewatch Value: (7.5) I personally don't enjoy rewatching dramas, but this drama doesn't exactly scream rewatching material. I would probably rewatch this, but not without skipping a few episodes into the drama.
Overall: (8) I enjoyed this drama, and I think everyone should give this a go. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but it is quite fun and enjoyable.

Struggling for word count
Cute show, good acting, but his character was really kind of a bully, and how hard is it to just have a conversation to resolve your issues!?!? Sung Hoon tends to play this type of character frequently. Kissing scenes were good. Happy ending but the ending was kind of weak. I wish that K-drama writers would get a clue that if we invest multiple hours in a drama, we would love a satisfying ending. Huge buildup to have the "happy ending" happen in the last 10 minutes or so. I felt that this show was entirely too long. Was this review helpful to you?

similarities with another drama
I really like this kdrama, I even watched 3 times but I found out something really weird, this drama and "Noble, My love" (that I currently watched) drama it's kind of alike ( same actors, she have same consume, hiccup and it's also a cat). But otherwise it is different, it is funny and exciting but also cute at the same time if you understand what I am saying.
I really enjoyed watching this drama, in some sequences I even found myself and it was very funny.
I hope you watch "Noble, My love", the actors are really nice together.
I really hope you will enjoy this drama because It's worth it.
I'm not sure if I helped anyone with this review but I'm glad I did.
And even though someone read my comment I want to say to them: "Hope you are fine and have a wonderful day/night"

Thump-thump
After a disappointing "I picked up a star on the road", also a kdrama in which Sung Hoon is the male lead, I rewatched My Secret Romance. It has been one of the first kdramas I watched and it will remain somehow special to me as this contributed to my addiction to kdramas. It is a light drama with no real plot twists. What it makes special is the excellent couple match (I do hope to see them as a couple again in the future) and the love scene in the beginning of the drama which resulted in their first and last love. I liked it that Cha Jin Wook changed from a playboy into a young man not being afraid to express his feelings. Usually a woman is better in expressing feelings.
There are many sweet, hiccup moments. Pay attention to the subtle looks.
Park Shin Woon shines in his role as secretary Jang Woo Jin. :-)
Favorite lines: You can get loose now. At least in front of me.
