A drama depicting, along with the traditional art of rakugo (comical stories) and kagura (Shinto music and dance), the love and squabbles of a rakugo storyteller unable to face life and his girlfriend who clings to the past. Minor rakugo storyteller, Mitsugoro, lives a hedonistic life escaping to alcohol and women. His girlfriend, Maumi has unflinchingly supported him, but is deeply hurt by his thoughtless words and leaves him.
