I will honestly say this is one of my favorite dramas, although I think the ending was rather hastily put together, it was a refreshing story line from the rather normal story lines in other dramas. It has lots of action, comedy, suspense, and emotion to keep you at the edge of your seat. I felt like I was on a roller coaster the whole time! There were so many points of view that the writers let you see, so by the end of the drama you were aware of how every main character felt. The acting was outstanding! I am a big fan of Eric. Especially after watching this drama. I will say that the ending sucked majorly as far as unanswered questions, but I felt that the whole show up to that point made up for the lacking of explanation at the end. Besides it turned out how i wanted it to so i cant really complained. And I LOVE the entire soundtrack! I downloaded the whole OST. I would most definitely recommend this to anyone who loves emotional roller coasters with very happy moments and then moments where you will burst out in tears!!

Okay so here goes Eric, this reason alone is worth watching. but seriously, this drama has suspense, romance, action, romance, lol. The lead female is a spy/bodyguard who falls in love with the client, the main male is a superstar who is a bit conceited and a pain at first but he grows on you. Really great acting of Eric, scenes with emotions are so real, you just want to hug them both.
Overall, a great drama to watch and re-watch.

Well after watching the first 6 episodes I didn\''\''t expect to become addicted. I actually contemplated on dropping it. Then episode 7 happened. The storyline changed so dramatically. It became dark, unpredictable, romantic, and exciting. The story stayed fresh and exciting all the way to the end. The last episode was seriously WTF till the last 5 minutes. Of course they couldn\''\''t part with thier signature unpredicatbleness. Still, the ending was very satisfying.

The acting was very well done. Han Ye Seoul shined throughout ans showed acting wise she is not to be messed with. Eric did a good job but I don\''\''t think this is his best role. Lee Jin Wook really is a good actor. Yes his character was stoic for most of the drama but the small scenes where he got to show his personality (like smiling and his love for MW) really proved his acting abilities. I rally liked the character of Joo In Ah. She was cute and all she wanted was to be loved.

The music suited the changing moods of the drama.

I\''\''ll rewatch this but probably farther down the road.

Overall this is a drama that gets better towards the later half of the episodes. I\''\''ll miss this one for sure.

I have probably never seen such a bad story line in all my life. Nothing is logical or makes sense. At all. Not the main plot nor the little twists. But then again there arent many korean shows that are as funny as this one is... After learning to ignore all the fault and weird things in the story line ( I guess the writers even did that on purpose - nobody can make thaaaaat many mistakes, seriously) the show was very entertaining, sweet and lovable. They could have stopped after episode 16. But other than that I really loved to watch this show and advise it to anybody who doesn't take themself and the world too serious and are willing to turn two blind eyes to what actually happens in the story line or the characters (who are supposedly spies) behave in certain situations.

This review may sound really negative but it isnt supposed to. You cant just give this drama a high score without pointing out the elephant in the room resp, the show.

I guess you either love it or you hate it.

I loved the story line. It was gripping and to me, also racy. It could have been worth of 10/10 but there was too much emotion for me. I kept thinking that they are spies and should act like one. If the spies were more honorable and not so sentimental it would have been great story! :)

I'm not so good to criticize acting but if I have to say something I'd say it was good. At some points I felt like they weren't 100% in the character but mostly they did a good job. I think Eric Mun was great choice for Gang U. He's handsome and his voice melts me ;) I loved Jang Hee Jin's acting, it was great and she took over the role! :) Only thing that I'm not sure about was if viewers were suppose to hate or love Kyung Joo's character. Because if we were suppose to like her, it wasn't a good actress choice.. At least I hated her for the whole time. She seemed contrived to me :/

Music was great, I loved it! :) When watching the last episode I was able to sing along. And that's -dear MDL users- not something I usually do :)

I would like to watch this again if I had time. At least all those episodes before they became too emotional. There were couple scenes which took place in my "all the time favorite scenes"-list (;

Overall; as mentioned before it was better in the beginning. I liked the idea of them being spies on a mission. I wished more spy-like-action. There were couple of too cliche scenes but I made through it with a smile :)
In the end, I'd like to say that I liked this very much. Many nights I spent thinking what would happen in the next episode. Many time I pulled my hair because there were no preview of the next episode. Many time I screamed to the characters to help them out of a difficult situation :)
Definitely was worth to watch!

Watch Only If You Are A Fan of Eric Mun

I have just completed the 18 Episodes. The show had a strange plot of North Korea not having enough good actors and sent a bunch of agents to the South to take one good actor back ie. Lee Kang Woo (Eric's character). The beautiful agent is Myung Wol (played by Han Ye Seul) who is suppose to make Kang Woo fall in love and marry her, eventually following/lure him back to North Korea with her. I struggled through the 18 episodes and am grateful Eric's acting held the show together. He is able to portray a famous Hallyu Star effectively as confident, self-assured and decisive which is what the show needed to keep the depth going. Other than that, everything was pretty shallow. Agent Myung Wol had some good fighting scenes but unfortunately the character she played was a very weak, insecure, indecisive agent who did not manage to control any of her actions or decisions. Her acting also needed more work. I was so frustrated at her character especially towards the last 7 episodes of having change her mind again and again on the man she loves. My hair was falling out, I almost gave up but wanted to give justice the work Eric put in....phew, finally managed to complete. Surprisingly, the second lead characters were played well by Lee Jin Wook and Jang Hee Yin and managed to help the drama along. Watch only if you are a fan of Eric Mun or Lee Jin Wook. Otherwise, can give it a miss. Sorry for the honesty.

For the first 7 episodes I was hooked body and soul with this drama I was myself shocked. I had no previous plans to watch it and I picked it by chance. I was so glad I did. But that was it. After 8, it got boring. The love lines became so cheesy. There was so much dragging and such unrealistic and corny scenes and events. I barely managed to finish it; thanks to the superb acting of the two male leads.

Though the reason of the whole spying mission might sound ridiculous, judging by what happens in the Hallyu world, it's possible.

I loved and admired the acting of the male leads. Eric and Lee Jin Wook gave their all and impressed me. Even in the most cheesy scenes Eric would make it believable and romantic. Lee Jin Wook was the perfect spy. It suited him perfectly. I just loved him here.
While Han Ye Seul did a good job, she never impressed me. I don't know what exactly is the problem but I never get impressed. Liked her action scenes and independent personality (at the beginning of course, before falling in love and whatnot).

The action scenes were awesome at the beginning but then I grew tired of them. The OSTs were just great. Loved each one.

Though too optimistic a view, I liked the reconciliation idea between North and South. Comradeship and loyalty for the country were presented here. Comradeship and love won which I applauded. No matter what, the human comes first.

There was much dragging. Lee Duk Hwa got on my nerves awfully -he always does-. The whole thing about the book was not well-written. The drama is certainly not for a marathon.

I won't recommend or re-watch it again. Eric and LJW lovers would be able to tolerate it for the brilliant acting.

At first I was just curious about the lead actress Leslie Kim/Han Ye Seul, as I was captivated by her in Birth of a Beauty. So that's why I've been watching this drama.

The start was really funny and entertaining, the lead actors (Myung Wol & Kang Woo) had good chemistry. They both were in denial having feeling for one another. I liked the arrogance that Eric portrayed, but sensitive and soft at heart. Leslie portayed Myung Wol perfectly as doing everything for her country and making her Father proud, but when falling in love the struggle she encountered what she felt in her heart versus following orders. Also her personality has doing before thinking was well portrayed.

Leslie showcased she is very natural in acting, and she can make you to love her.
I don't care what happened between the network station and rumors about her temporary disappearance. She's damn good and it would be a shame if she not on TV!
Eric was very good in his role as well, I felt every bit of pain and sadness in him.
Real love is a powerful thing that can make you do opposite things of whatever you stood for.

Dear potential watchers,

I would definitely recommend this drama if you want a really lightweight, cute drama.

I've watched this drama 5 times already and even though the storyline could be better and is sometimes a little bit repetitive, it's still a really good drama to watch.

The idea behind the story is already somewhat silly to begin with but it has a great start. I absolutely love it when the drama is about north and south korea and I love the secret agent concept.

The acting is absolutely lovely and I loved how they filmed the drama. It's a bit childish and it's an easy drama to binge when you're in need of some comfort and cuteness.

THE MUSIC IS A 10/10 I LOVE IT!!
The actors are also cute and I just love looking at Eric's face in the drama.

So if you're in need of something silly and romantic, watch this drama.
You can also listen to the OST's to know if you want to watch the drama or watch videos about it. It always makes me nostalgic so whenever I hear the songs, I ALWAYS wanna rewatch the drama.

This drama is admittedly incredibly cheesy, trope-y, and over the top. You really have to suspend your disbelief, because there are some pretty unbelievable situations in this drama that don't make sense if you think too much about it. Plus, there's the rather dull secondary storyline involving some really old books that have some great historical significance (apparently) that the North Koreans want really badly (for a reason I don't really care about).

However, if you skip all the scenes involving the secondary storyline, what you get is a fairly decent drama. You have the classic story of two people who hate each other, who then have to live together, then start falling for each other, and inevitably have misunderstandings, people desperately trying to tear them apart, and (as with many dramas) some sort of seemingly insurmountable problem that keeps them from being together (in this case, she being a spy from NK).

I found the back and forth between their relationship admittedly somewhat frustrating, but not enough to the point where I wasn't enjoying myself. As I watch, I keep in mind that Myungwol was raised in one of if not THE most oppressively militant countries in the world, and the threat of death for herself and her comrades upon failure of her mission is sufficient reason for her constant wavering with Kang Woo, not to mention she's literally for the first time understanding what romantic love is and how powerful it is while trying to seduce him. I also can't blame Kang Woo for being frustrated with her, and constantly demanding proof of her true affection, when she's deceived him so many times. Throughout watching this, I realized that the real enemy of Kang Woo's and Myungwol's happiness is North Korea itself, or rather its government and military.

On a different note, Eric Mun is, to put it mildly, sexy as hell in this drama. Thank you, PD-nim, for filming the majority of Eric's scenes with him in either a chest-baring V-neck, a sleeveless tank top, or shirtless. Eric 오빠, you were looking hella fine in 2011. I love you now, but damn you were smokin' hot ten years ago. (You're still good-looking now, just in a more mature way, 걱정마).

Oh, and he also does an amazing job at playing his character, the tsundere Kang Woo. I thought that Park Do Kyung would be my favorite Eric Mun role, but I changed my mind. Eric as Kang Woo is a diamond in the rough in this drama, he carries it on his shoulders.

Loved the drama

I actually can't believe the low scores for this drama. It's a really excellent drama, great cast, gorgeous characters, fantastic fashion sense, action and adventure, what's not to like ? ? Anyway I throughly enjoyed watching it and will rewatch. Hopefully everyone will ignore those who gave it low reviews because it's an excellent drama. The clothes is this drama are also nice. ? Watch the drama you won't be disappointed. ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
