I Need Romance (2011)

Slightly racy, but mostly refreshing. I’m really happy to see a group of friends in a drama.

In Short: Racy for a k-drama, in an honest way. I did not much enjoy the aegyo female lead though, and hated the ending, which did nothing for the morals of the story. I feel bad for the second lead, he was cute. Had a bit of second lead syndrome in this one.

Pros: Racy in a good way, which sets it apart from other k-dramas (which are not racy at all). I also love that the main characters have friends. Real people have friends.

Cons: Still mad about the ending, which set us back to square one. Characters could have been a bit less similar to Sex and the City characters.

What can I say about this... I really didn't like this show over all. I felt like it had the potential to be a great show but I got annoyed way to much with the main female protagonist decisions. The 33 year old virgin story seemed like it had no point to me. And I have no words for slutty heartless friend. I honestly only watched it because a friend of mine referred it to me. Honestly the first 3-4 episodes were great to me but it slowly loses momentum after that. Bottom line I don't recommend this show and probably would only watch if there was absolutely nothing else to watch.

If you like "Sex and City" type's realistic take on dating in the 21st century, then this series is for you. It certainly is more risque than your average Korean rom-com (of course it is still considered tame compared to Western shows), and gives you a candid peek on the romantic and sex lives of 30+ Korean city gals without the fluff. Finally some real HOT action. Choices that some characters made can be questionable but that is the appeal of this drama - that life is not neatly compartmentalized into A or B packages...and it is the journey and not the end that matters.

I liked the three girl characters, and it was fun to watch, as all of the "I Need Romance" installments are. Only thing that bugged me was that the male lead was pretty much a piece of garbage. He cheated on her and disrespected her, but she kept crawling back to him. I guess that's pretty realistic though, since some people just suck. The second lead was much more of a gem, and he's a great actor.

I wasn't have the intention to waste my time more after watching this show and write a review
BUT I COULDN'T
First the music was fantastic but completely doesn't fit this drama
Which was extremely weird and bad for me while watching

Second I'm not going to talk about any thing except 1st main leads

Their characters were the most weak, childish , selfish and annoying characters I have ever seen
They are using and Exploiting others without considering their feelings

I forced myself watching this show just for the other main leads
I was skipping 1st main leads scenes because they raised my temper so much

This show was mainly based on kissing scenes and lust which was disgusting

And the events were repitative between 1st leads

How should I consider cheating as a normal attitude when I feel bored from routine with my partner

Well-written, truthful, entertaining, and relatable drama. It's about three ladies in their early 30s and their dating lives. Don't listen to the reviews written by 13 year olds, it's obviously not a drama for young people to watch. I'd recommend it for those who have experienced a few relationships.
 The premise of the main female lead's story got me interested. The choices that she and her friends make are  realistic which makes the show feel a bit more like a sitcom. The acting was well done. The chemistry between the two main leads was what really kept me going. Now the relationship with the rich 2nd male lead felt somewhat superficial, but it was still believable. I liked the ending, though I'd say it felt lazy.
I really loved the music that went along, and the still shots they take from time to time throughout the drama was really unique. Now I'm ready to marathon season 2!

This drama was just so-so for me. The actors did well in their roles, but I just wasn't in love with the storyline. And I guess it was pretty forgettable because I had to read a recap to remember what even happened in it. I think the worst part for me is that her long term boyfriend was a cheater and I can't stand a cheater. I think I did enjoy the side stories a little. I do know there were some funny moments with one of the friends of the main lead.
I wouldn't watch again.

ETA - I realize that this isn't a great review and doesn't really give a lot of info. But I think this is one of those shows that is more subjective than others for me. It really could go either way for most people I think. So I wouldn't recommend it to a friend, but I wouldn't discourage someone from watching it either.

As a lot of people here said, this is the korean version of sex and the city. It's worth watching. Why? Because the leading girl here will know the true meaning of love even she is in the 30's. I dislike some of the scene like kissing and sex. :| don't like that part. It's rated 18 and i'm only 15. >.< but it's really worth watching. :D even if your not inlove at the moment. XDD

Update: I'm 24 now and I approve of the scenes. XD But for some minors, keep in my mind some of the scenes may not suitable for you to watch. And also this was released when SK is not really into this theme and it is a bold move of the network for doing this and it did not disappoint me.
