Spoiler

I wanna know how the mother knew which one was his apartment?
I'm not shocked that the mother turned out to be completely unhinged. I knew her deal when she first blamed her daughter that it was her fault her boyfriend cheated on her and it was because she wasn't good enough and then told her to forgive him and get back together because he was rich and from a respectful family and she doesn't have time or the ability to do better! So using traditional beliefs and guilt-tripping people and manipulating them and disregarding her 35-year-old daughter's autonomy totally checks out. This episode was slow but that's to be expected. The honeymoon phase is over and now that they are out of their bubble, the real challenged of being together are bound to break them.

Sometimes the Culture Gap Can Really Irk

I was really enjoying this drama. It was a light, bittersweet romance with signs of some future conflict, which every show needs. A very cute love story. Unfortunately, the past few episodes have just been swallowed whole by a bunch of horrible family melodrama which felt like it came out of nowhere. We slip from silly, marriage-crazy mom who is almost funny to a freaking snobbish PSYCHOPATH who follows her almost-middle-aged daughter around in the middle of the night. The way she treats the people she said she thought of as "her own" is disgusting. I realize this is a culture thing, but if my mother said half the things the FL's said, or did ANY of the things she did, I would move out on the spot and never speak to her again. It's CLOYING at this point and really ruining my enjoyment of the show. Ugh.
