A fantastic introduction to one of my favorite competition series of all time. The social politics, the brain-bending games, and watching the cast navigate this unknown territory were all a treat to watch. Probably my favorite season of the four, simply for its originality. The contestants have a wide variety of backgrounds, so watching them compete purely through mental and social capital is an enthralling watch; everyone has their merits and even those eliminated usually have shown some of their "genius".
Highly recommended to fans of reality competition shows, or fans of specific members of the cast.

This is the greatest show I have ever seen and that is not an exaggeration by any stretch. For a month after completing The Genius I did not watch any other show and instead kept rewatching this season. The rewatch value is truly incredible and it seems like a mini movie every episode. The highs and the lows coupled with the intense matches and top quality cast makes this show so memorable. The politics and mind games in The Genius were non stop and layered to the point that I could not get enough. I have never before felt about a show the way I did watching The Genius, I knew it would be legendary from the first episode and it's structure.

The Genius was my first venture into an older drama series and it was different than any other dramas or shows that I have experienced in general. I hope this show sparks a change in media and especially reality tv because the potential in reality shows is extremely high but due to laziness from screenwriters and directors, we are mostly left with a pretty much mediocre show when reality tv is technically supposed to be the best type of television.

The unique nature of the editing was completely fascinating to view and it was done in such a perfect way that I was surprised that other dramas since this have no stolen the concept. In each and every episode, there would be a plot twist type of moment in which we as the viewer are dumbfounded as to how what we have just seen truly transpired and this is when the editing that has manipulated us during the episode reveals to us the hidden conversations between contestants.

The Genius was an adventure of a show and I did not find myself getting bored for even a minute which surprised even myself. A true masterclass in it's genre and I am glad to see that The Devil's Plan is getting the love it deserves because with that will come more and more season of such a show.
