Warning: This review is like full of spoilers so if you don't want any hints to what happens, it's probably best that you don't read it haha. Thought I would just share some of my raw thoughts that I wrote right after watching this drama and see if anyone finds it interesting or feels the same :)

PROS:
- beautiful scenery; from bihai cangling to fangyin gu to qing qiu, i think that this drama really nailed down the fantasy aspect while clearly being distinct from TMOPB. I was surprised with all the colors and how well they really put these respective worlds together.
- unexpectedly, I really liked the netherworld guy. he was there when we needed him and he was consistently helping feng jiu
- the acting was literally perfect all around. gao wei guang did such a good job of switching between dong hua and shen ye; and honestly every character was portrayed very well (imo)
- they really did a great job with all the female character's hair (except for jie lu but they fixed it towards the end when her rank changed); i loved all the hair ornaments and hairstyles and i thought that they were all very elegant.
- it's kind of crazy how much personality dong hua actually has in this drama. now that the drama is actually focused on his and feng jiu's love story, his love is like 10000x stronger and i found that interesting to watch
- i like how in the fighting scene at the very end, fengjiu was there as well, because I didn't want her to just desperately wait at the side and feel/act helpless---i liked how they made her clever, determined and able to fight
- ye qingti is one huge pro for me. hands down still my favorite character (if you don't count ah li or gun gun, who are both equally freaking adorable) . he's loyal, strong yet gentle, extremely considerate, and um good looking??; also gun gun's white hair is the absolute cutest.
- i appreciated that she did not stay in her fox-obsessive phase for too long because that would've been unrealistic and honestly p boring. she needed to grow out of an initial childish obsession and "grow up" (so to speak)
- the ending was actually satisfying and i thought the ending monologues were fitting
- jiheng and zhi he both had their "su jin" moments but thank GOD that those were short lived and they both either moved on or got told off
- i honestly liked their mortal realm story arc a lot, even though it was p sad at the end to see feng jiu break his heart because she had to. it was (literally and figuratively) down to earth and lowkey unrestrained. the aranya dream sequence was also pretty interesting and I liked how that was almost like a mystery
- high production quality!! & i liked the OSTs
- i just wanna say, that yan chi wu is a GREAT person. i didn't expect to like him, but i liked him just as much as i liked his "twin brother" zi lan in TMOPB; he is so funny and loves to cheer people up. he is loyal, determined and doesn't crave power. He was such a great companion for feng jiu to have during their time at fanyin gu and stayed a great friend even after they left the valley

CONS
- there were enough plot holes to cause confusion and like take away from the overall vibe. and if it wasn't plot holes, it was unexplained events or filler events. for example, what was the point of cang yi? the immortal that dealt with the mortal realm that feng jiu was engaged to for .2 seconds? i found that that entire section could have just been eliminated. it didn't have an impact of feng jiu's character or any other character at all, and seemed like a filler sequence for me. if it had been completely cut out, the story would've stayed the same. he was only in 1-2 eps (barely) and we (viewers) never heard from him again...; AND they never answered the question as to why aranya was abandoned to begin with...which i was asking in my head during the ENTIRE aranya dream story arc; aLsO they like completely dropped zhi he?? the last scene we see is her getting upset about feng jiu and dong hua's wedding...but like after that she literally disappears...which ig is fine and all but like i would rather have had her not inserted there than have her come back only to disappear again
- the last misunderstanding between dong hua and feng jiu was so unncessary. if dong hua had just explained to her or COMMUNICATED then feng jiu would not have misunderstood and literally gotten her heart broken aGaIN. She got stood up at her wedding and did not receive ANY explanation, only to visit the demon realm herself to be given a vague answer that was not explained, and she assumed the worst---which I would've done too. She then went on to have to raise her son on her own in the mortal realm for a few years. while no one knew of his existence. If I was her, I'd be pissed too when I came back to the immortal world and dong hua just said a bunch of romantic shit like nothing had happened. then feng jiu gets told off by everyone about how much dong hua has done for her and then she feels guilty for misunderstanding BUT lowkey it was never her fault for misunderstanding given the very LITTLE information she was told. yes dong hua did a shit ton for her but he also doesn't communicate jack so misunderstandings were created (on numerous occasions too). a girl gets tired of getting ghosted again and again, and i commend feng jiu for having the strength to move on and be strong for her son. AND i stand by the fact that the misunderstanding those last few eps were not needed and in fact very frustrating for the viewers -_-
- i found that overall, the story arcs were too long (IN THAT the pace was p slow). there have been a lot of dramas were the ep count is hella long (e.g. ashes of love/eternal love) BUT the plots for those do not move at a slow pace, and it doesn't feel like the story is dragging. to me, the overall impression each time there was a story arc was that things could've happened so much quicker, but the production team chose to drag it out (maybe to increase ep count, idk). the whole story can be summarized into a few story arcs: maid/fox feng jiu --> mortal realm --> feng jiu trying to get over dong hua while dong hua starts falling for her --> fanyin gu --> dream of aranya --> cute stuff --> miao luo goes batshit crazy and the demon clan starts dying AND misunderstanding (singular) gets created between feng jiu & dong hua --> final battle --> reconciliation. they absolutely spent too many eps in fanyin gu & dream of aranya with very little development. there would just be eps and eps of her like writing letters to shen ye, and then shen ye getting all upset, and then we more views of his inner thoughts, then we catch fengjiu having loads of fun w dong hua and aranya's family being evil and annoying (just over and over). the actual development of the aranya story is like snail pace (like she founds out important details VERY SLOWLY)
- i cried a grand total of barely once during the last ep when they say i love you to each other, which is not a great cry count for a drama LOL (for me haha)
- they were kinda inconsistent with feng jiu's martial arts ability...it seemed that they wrote her as strong when they needed her to be and then weak when they wanted to write in dong hua saving her...i just want a cohesive development of abilities dammit

OVERALL:
To be honest, I was a bit disappointed...I thought I was going to like it more, but the story itself was just not that appealing to me. I love all the characters and the actors/actresses that played them, but I just didn't fall in love with the main characters' love story. Even if I didn't compare it to TMOPB (which i tried rly hard not to, but it's kinda hard, given the characters are directly related), their love story just isn't as touching to me. After all, it started from feng jiu's obsession and dong hua just basically thought she was cute and then he appreciated all the stuff she did for him...and then obviously them interacting just kinda had them fall in love...and all we get is that feng jiu's obsession started from when dong hua saved her...which is aight ig but like...idk . The creativity and execution is still super amazing though, and gun gun UGH he's so adorable and dong hua's reaction to seeing him was def one of my favorite scenes in the entire drama. I just skipped toooo many scenes to rate this higher than an 8.5. I'm glad I watched it though :)

Shen ye loves aranya with a love that only when felt is totally understood. Thats why after everything happened... He was grief stricken because he knew he would never be able to see her again, not because she didnt love him, but because she was simply not there, she wasn't anywhere, the thought of her laughing couldn't be enough, because he knew she wouldn't laugh because she wasn't there, she wasn't alive.
He even said that it didnt matter if she hated him or loved him or even if they had a relationship at all, the only thing he wanted was to be on the same earth as her, all he wanted was to share a lifetime, it didn't matter if it was together or not, all he wanted was to be alive with her. Knowing that she is somewhere in his world, even if hes not part of her world, she is a part of his, because she exists, she isn't nothing, she is something.
And then when he finally realized the painful truth he was unable to accept it, it had been so long since he had given her his all, it was too late to give up, because there was nothing else to live with. He had given his all to her, so he had nothing left, that's why when the end came near all he could do was once again give her his all.

This serial had literally made me to write this review as this is the One of the best drama ??I had ever seen..... In terms of story this will made u forget tem miles of peach ?blossom because in my personal opinion I found these 3 lives ?far better than those.... these 3 lives are more distinctive, clear and more realistic.... Only one complaint about story that dong hua's shadow and mortal self is really having a tough ?love life which made me really really sad.... I know that dong Hua and Feng jiu are going to be together but still I feel bad for song xuanren and Xiao jiu and also for shan ze and Allenru.... MG the sadest story was of shan ze and all en ru it really touched my heart❤️ ?and for the very first made me cry? over a drama overall story is so well written plot is so well executed little complains here and there but no big deal.......... In terms of acting what should I say it's 10 /10 vengo had proved that right now he is one of the expresion kings? all three portrayals were so well executed that when I saw donghua I saw dong Hua I saw shan ze thn it's shen zi and same goes for xuanren... Dilraba acting and expressions were also on spot when she was playing jiu and all en ru at the same time u can really see the difference... All other supporting characters has also done their job well especially Yan chi wu character was so funny his whole body language? was so lively his walking and talking style was so fun to watch ?❤️?l....... It's definitely re-watch able music is also too good I really like the ost and on the top it also has happy ending so anyone who wants a great story with really balanced acting and top ?notch romance wd blooming chemistry⚗️ plzz come and watch this

One of my favorites!

Yes, they told Fengjiu and Hua Dijon’s story differently in the first one compared to this drama. But I still LOVE both shows and both tellings of their love story! I like this story of them the best because it goes into more detail of their love. I am not going to go into detail on the show. You just have to watch it!

Story - love Love LOVE this story! It follows Three Lives, Three Worlds of the main leads. And yes it is just that…three lives they have in three worlds. Fengjiu is in love with Hua Dijon after he saves her. She “helps” him in different worlds and he later realizes just how much she has done for him and falls in love with her. I love to watch Hua Dijun go from a sort of cold and indifferent persons to a warm and loving husband! Melts your heart!

The ending is perfect. Thank goodness! I love a happy ending! If it is sad I don’t watch it. Haha. This drama has all the emotions. I love that! Tells me it is great story telling when it hits them all!

Acting/Cast - Dilraba is an amazing actress! She is my all time favorite. She does not disappoint me in this drama or the first one. Gao Weiguang is also really good! They both made this show perfect!

Music - love the music. Hoping to own the soundtrack some day. It is beautiful music.

Rewatch - always and anytime I can! Worth watching! Don’t judge it with Eternal Love (Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms) telling of them. Just watch it! It is really good. It is a different spin on their story compared to the first show.

This is my take for this ultimate-once-in-a-lifetime-destiny.

It ended so fast. Fifty-six episodes yet it is not enough to portray all necessary conclusion at the end. It has all important recipe in a drama to have so much impact in an entertainment world however some of the episodes where drag and some are ended so fast.

The mortal realm life is enough for someone to drop the series because they gave importance to a side-character that at the end they didn't used very well (yes, that's you QingTi, sorry brother). Despite having a good chemistry of both ML and FL, the story stretched as far as they can just to established that DongHua is vulnerable once he's mortal. Yes. It's important however some of the clip can be emitted and it still will be that good.

The reunion after mortal life is also a good foundation for their relationship and IMO is a good transition from draggy episodes. I could not ask for more.

The Dream of Aranya is also one of the best plot in the story and it is the beginning of their unfated love story. THIS part is climactic yet something is also missing. Maybe because the story itself is complicated enough in the book. This is where DongHua realise that he can love after millions of years. It so sweet once he accepted his fated love and its almost sweeter when FengJui reciprocated his feelings.

The great war, this is for me is the downfall of the story. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I love this part that it saddens me to say that this could have been better (I think the writers had memo that the drama will be shorten or that they lack sleep because why they do this to us?). This is where all sacrifices, redemption, fate and trust plays and is crucial to have a mind-blowing impact because it will sealed the fate of the story of DongHua and FengJui. But in the end its a HEA!! But as I said, it could have been better. (I JUST WANT A REAL WEDDING FOR DONGHUA AND FENGJUI!!!)

MUST WATCH!!!

I am always always skeptical of xianxias and fantasy genre type of series. But this is actually not bad.

I love everything about it. The acting, cinematography, osts, chemistry, and color palette.
I love how they portrayed the characters.

Reba made Fengjiu's character more lovable and sympathetic. Fenghjiu's character can be seen as a spoiled child if not done right. But she made her be seen as a passionate, brave, resilient, and zealous person.

While Donghua's character, Vengo made him more humanly, we see Donghua as a haughty person who rules the world. A mighty person. That's why we can understand why he's cold and indifferent. When in fact he grew up that way. And he just hadn't found the person to be comfortable enough to be vulnerable.

The plot tho... although it follows the book. I wish there were more fight scenes. And I wish they explored the ending arc more. Esp, Miao Liu (what's her relationship with Donghua [I'm feeling they're twins like yin and yang]), and what happened during those 300 years of separation.

That's all nothing more to say. Just watch it. Although a bit slow burn (officially met at ep 24) still great. Just less fighting/action/adventure/cultivation. And more of romance and drama.

ps: ngl the timeline is confusing. I wished they'd write (2000 years later something like that lmao)

Dropped initially, but later finished and have rewatched several times

I was so looking forward to this after watching TMOPB. However, after initially watching the 1st two episodes, I decided to stop for awhile because it felt very much like a repeat of TMOPB. I decided to give it another try and instead of watching where I left off, I skipped to episode 21 to finish, then went back to watch the episodes I skipped. I am so glad I did it this way, because my favorite parts were the episodes starting from her aunt's wedding to dream of aranya, mortal realm, later episodes (in this order). My least favorite part was the beginning when she was a fox staying in the heavenly kingdom. I have since rewatched it multiple times. I just enjoy seeing the beautiful costumes, setting, and good looking actors. The story is much lighter, happier compared to TMOPB.

World of deity

This show is long since it tries to tell from the beginning on how the two main characters met. It may be boring in the first 20 episodes, it gives details on the events and I think it will be better if it does not include Bai Feng Jiu's narration and acting when she is in form of fox, which is the part I dislike most about this show.
The main characters , the supporting characters are interesting. There are quite a number of funny, witty quotes that make my days.
There are cute , sweet and sad moments, story is something different in the world of deity.
My favorite part is the story of Aranya dream, it is made perfect, Feng Jiu knows Xi Ze is Di Jun (which is different from novel). They both are the perfect choice to portray these characters. In fact, I am still not tired of rewatching episodes 20 -last episodes

Loved This Version Of Story For Little Red Fox & Imperial lord.

I started watched this right after Eternal Love. I wasn't a big fan of the ending these two got over there and am glad that this sequel was made.

If you watch it right after Eternal Love, right off the bat, you'll notice the difference in production, some of the central cast members, and character behaviors. Bai Feng Jiu from Eternal Love was a bit more mature compared to this one. But that stopped bothering me once we see her turn into a fox, she is so damn adorable. The male lead is of course gorgeous, however his appearance in the Eternal Love was a bit better, in terms of styling, the hair, the outfits, the colors in this one took some time getting used to.

I was hoping to see Mo Yuan/Ye Hua, but that didn't happen. At first, I thought that they didn't exist in this universe but they do they are just never seen.

This is one of the shows where the female lead falls first and falls very hard, whereas the Male lead takes forever to notice her affection. While he is not one of those who falls harder but he wasn't able to figure out his feelings on his own, his friends had to prompt him and tell him about all FL has done for him. Anyways, once he decides to pursue the FL, he is all in. That's what matters.

You will regret ..if you miss it!

To tell you all truth Even though I love drama I won't watch it second time or no more.. But I lost the count I watch this drama... Mainly I start to watch it for Emperor Dong Hua.. His silvery hair.

Story line is prefect .. But why did u stop with 57 chapter... After long struggle they got happy endings.. It would be better if their some chaps about their love life..

Also the supporting character... Si Ming ....Lian song....Cheng yu ... Amazing ... Their role and they perfectly did their role.. May be we can say the role is characterized for them.

I've finished watching this, now i can't move on and planning to re-watch it again. Even every soundtrack it has was pretty good too:(
Ngl, in the middle of this drama, i got a lil bit bored (when they just enter the aranjo/aranya's dream) But i keep continued it, and according to me, it totally worth❣️
Overall after watching this, i really love the chemistry between vengo and dilireba and started to watch the eternal love (2017) just to see them more, lol.
I wish there's gonna be a new drama project for vengo and reba
