Jo Gu, a street magician, meets a miserable girl, Yu Ri, during one of his performances, and she winds up the inspiration for his “Horror magic show.” The show becomes wildly popular and Jo Gu is now a successful magician with a model girlfriend. Yu Ri begins working as an extra on the show but the darkness inside her, something her teammate's sense, keeps her from truly connecting with anyone else. Jo Gu’s attempt to include her during dinner turns into a disaster when she gets blindingly drunk. Jo Gu calls Yu Ri the next morning, but when the phone disconnects with a weird noise, he starts to worry. When Jo Gu finds her, she confesses the long story behind her gray, wan face. Since surviving a high school car accident Yu Ri has seen the ghosts of dead schoolmates and her one-time best friend Joo Hee. Joo Hee is a ghost, following her everywhere and scaring the people around her, leaving her totally isolated. Even Yu Ri’s family eventually fled, leaving her behind to live alone in a tent, speaking only to a friend on the phone sometimes. During the course of Jo Gu’s failed attempts to find the lonely Yu Ri a boyfriend she resigns herself to the idea of her solitary life is best in the grand scheme of things. And though Jo Gu is sometimes scared witless himself, the pair starts to develop a feeling for each other. Now consumed with jealousy, Joo Hee becomes a threat during the show and prompts Yu Ri to head off to join her family to save Jo Gu. Is getting away going to be that easy, or does Joo Hee have more tricks up her sleeve? (Source: Cj Entertainment) Edit Translation

When I first read about this movie, I didn't quite get how romance, comedy and horror could work together. But if you watch this movie you'll see how it's possible, the genres are mixed really well!

I loved the chemistry between Sohn Ye-jin og Lee min ki, they were so cute! Moreover, the ghost in this movie was a bit scary, but the comedy! Omg!! -the comedy in this movie was good. I didn't think I would laugh, but most of time I spent pausing the movie because I was constantly laughing hard. Even in the serious scene there were some comedy and that worked just fine.

You won't waste a second, this movie is awesome!

Chilling is one of those movies that incorporate many genres. It has comedy, drama, horror, and romance. This may seem like a lot. You might, also, think that just because of that (and possibly previous experiences) the movie might be chaotic and just have a bunch of random scenes thrown in together and call it a day, but that is not the case. Everyone who took part in this movie did a great job. The scenes do not feel disconnected at all; they flow together and very nicely tell a story.

Story: It's not an original story, even the synopsis tells it so, but it was very enjoyable.

Acting/ Casting: Lee Minki, who I have recently seen in his cameo on the drama "Shut Up: Flower Boy Band", has captured my heart with his acting once again. He is truly a magnificent actor who just gives to his characters a life of their own. I have to mention that both characters he played have a very distinctive feel to them and I just want to see him in more and more things.

I had only seen Son Ye Jin in "Personal Taste", and although I did like the drama, I wasn't that impressed with her in that particular role. But she was just perfect as Yeo Ri. Both of them made the characters likable and believable and that just made me sympathize with them and the things which were happening to, and around, them.

They have really good chemistry together.

I also liked the supporting actors. The movie had a great cast all around.

Music: It felt like it belonged at all times and complemented the scenes nicely.

Rewatch: I will definitely re-watch this movie more than a few times.

Overall: The movie is almost two hours long, but it felt less than that because I was totally immersed in the movie (I did stop it once just to post on the discussion thread. But that had nothing to do with the movie and all with the subs I found). I think this a very well done movie.
