It's Chinese movie
It is about school bullying as well
Better Days has more romance
And the actors are amazing too.

Both movies touch upon topics like performance anxiety, bulling, and (unlikely) teenage friendships/relationships in high school. While Extracurricular is a more action-packed and dramatized story, Better Days provides a realistic and heartbreaking account of a victim of bullying. In both stories, parental figures remain largely absent and it is up to the teenagers to learn to survive the cruel education system (and life in general). Both the series and the movie do not shy away from difficult, dark (and maybe even taboo) social questions.

Both dramas are about girl that are from a poor background and them being bullied by a group of friends from the richer societies. Both leads get help from a male counterpart. The only difference is that Better days is solely about the effects of bullying and healing while The Glory is about the aftereffects of bullying and the lead getting her revenge.

Both movies show the dark/harsh side of society. They both carry a heavy load, but at the same time it is amazingly put together.

I will not say that you will like the movie silenced, because it is way darker and more cruel than better days (the movie), but it is a bit similar to the original novel 'the youthful you who was so beautiful'. The sad/harsh part is that silenced is based on a true story, but it is a movie that is worth watching once if you can handle the dark element.

While that being said, if you want to watch something lighter with a dark aspect, I really recommend better days. Though it pictures the harsh reality that some students face, it also shows the amazing connection of love between two people. The acting is amazingly done.

If you liked the movie, I also recommend to read the original novel, which is a bit more intense, but you get also the details, which couldn't be put in the movie. I find both versions amazing and really beautiful, but emotionally heavy at the same time.

Two people struggling alone in their lives come together to form a deep and genuine human connection.

The story, exceptional acting, and beautiful cinematography create a very intimate and uniquely moving, and thought-provoking experience.

Both leads are leading painful lives. They help each other to get through tough times.
Very strong script. Explores heavy themes. There is romance but it is not the main focus.

Better Days is a film that has a social commentary on youth, schooling, and social media. Parasite is also a social commentary but it's about society, poverty, and wealth. If you like interpreting movies, this may be the one for you! :3

In both movies the leads deal with a difficult past and are feeling lost together. Unlike Better Days, No Call No Life doesn't involve bullying. In both movies they are on the run.

Both movies have a similar feel and hopeless tone with an urban setting, characters trapped in fates they can't avoid, a star-crossed romance, and a rough but good-hearted ML who only wants a better life for the FL.

- Both female leads experience bullying at the same degree.

- The mean girls are alike: Rich, pretty, conniving, and popular.

- Both female leads have a peer who bit the dust. And a peer who turned a blind eye.

- They both become teachers.

- They plan in order to escape/defeat the perpetrators.

- They bend the law.

- They move into their love interest’s home for protection and comfort. They meet their love interest in not so favorable circumstances. Their love interest helps them stop the bullies using their own smarts and knowledge. There’s also an age gap (in RL)
