Better to watch with volume turned off... and fastforward button.
Thai BL cringe warning...Actors are fresh off the street with very little training, too much make up and hair spray. There are couple of pretty faces, but none that makes strong impression in neither talent or effort. Decades from now, they can tell their children & grandchildren that they used to be an actor. Doubt you will see most of them again in future films.
Director: along with the casting director, in wrong field of work.
Script writer: reads too many yaoi manga.
Editor: questionable training.
Storyline: follows the novel pretty closely.
The original 2Moons series made it to 1/3 of the novel. 2Moons 2 basically re-filmed the original from the beginning with different cast and fast forwards to 90% of the novel. Not sure what they are going to do with the remaining 10%.... Just another promise of sequel with no means to keep. Don't get your hopes up if you are a fan. However, another made a fanfic series with few cast from the original 2Moons: Gen Y, and it's not completely hopeless. To all 2Moons film makers & wannabes, I would like to say, "You guys all failed. Get over it. Move on."
This is another Thai BL drama vomited out to profit from generous and very tolerant fandom by exploiting newbie actors. Thai BL is starting to fall back on quality in recent years; they'd better step up or they are going to lose a lot of fandom to countries like Taiwan, Japan, Korea and Philippine as they are quickly expanding BL market now.

I'm not just saying this for the fact that I prefer the original, but for the fact that this in general is absolutely horrible and bored me out of my mind. I'll explain further below, but in all, I couldn't even finish it. I tried giving it a chance after seeing people say it was special in it's own way, but imo this remake is the worst BL I've ever seen besides My Boy. Story: 5.5/10
The only reason it got this high is because I do love the original novel. Its a great story with great potential, but even for being a remake, this manages to skip literally everything important and dodge almost every special moment that made them bond before. There's so much left untold and left to just be assumed everyone knows.
Acting/Cast: 3.5
In all, I don't like this cast, not because I prefer the original alone. Almost no one really seemed to do thr characters justice or play them right, and the chemistry was dead. There was none. The only ones I liked were Forth (admittedly I like his actor for this one more than the original), Wayo (although not as good as the original, he did Wayo justice and played him well, he was absolutely precious), and Ming. Phana did not seem to be casted by the right guy at all, not saying he's a bar actor, but he just didn't fit Phana at all
Music: 7/10
Not bad but not wonderful, it was in general pretty nice though. Nothing here to complain about imo.
Rewatch Value: 1/10
I didn't even finish this and will never again try to watch it again, I doubt I'll even watch this new season that's supposedly coming out. Forget that. Not purely because I prefer the original, but because this was absolutely awful. Maybe I'll consider watching it, since it's all stuff that's never been acted out before, but I doubt the actors or chemistry will improve there either.

i hate that i like this so much
i been a newyear fan for a long time, i wanted to hate this drama n never watch it, but newyear said he was over what happen at the casting call and not getting the role (cause he actually gay is what was told to him) but newyear said he over it and that he enjoyed the series as a fan. so i gave it a shot hoping i wouldn't like it (i hate watch it and i hate rewatched three more time) so i be came a fan it really good over all, and i came in to this wanting to hate it but i loved it looking forward to number threeWas this review helpful to you?
Ming is again one of my favorite characters. I loved Kim as Ming in the original and that’s really where all of the nostalgia i had for the original cast lies. I think Joong did an amazing job as Ming this time around and he’s a cutie. I was so happy to see Kit and Ming finally become a couple since their relationship was never realized in the original. Phana and Wayo continue to be my least favorite couple although i like Ben and Earth’s chemistry better than the previous actors. Unfortunately their romantic scenes do absolutely nothing for me much like the previous actors. You can tell this is Earth’s first role. He does this shifty eye thing that i think is horrible it makes his sad, angry, and scared expressions all look the same. Kit and Forth round out my top 3 favorite characters. Kit and Ming’s scene in Kit’s childhood bedroom made my heart melt. Kit is so cute and i love the gym scenes in eps 12. I love the juxtaposition of Forth’s bad boy exterior with his romantic and humorous personality (And his tattoo!!). For the most part i think this cast of newbies did a great job and i especially look forward to future projects from Joong, Pavel, and Nine.
I wasn’t crazy about the OST but it wasn’t horrible. I’m shocked that they ended on such a cliffhanger. Most of the lackhorns and BL dramas I’ve watched have had sort of neutral season finales. If it’s good of course you’ll want a season 2, but it’s not necessary for any conflict resolution. I’m SHOOK. Will actually be waiting semi-anxiously for 2 moons 3.

This isn't as good as it could have been
If you've read the comment section for this drama's listing here on MDL, you probably know that this a soft reboot of the earlier 2 Moons, with the first four episodes of this being basically a rehash of the original series. That is the start of the problems. It would have been better if they had dispensed with that and just devoted the whole twelve episodes of the series to telling the second story.
Another problem is, of course, the change of actors. I have no issue with the changes of the actors who played Forth, Beam, Wayo, Ming and Phana, but I really missed the actor who played Kit. To his credit, Nine is actually one of the better actors in this series, but he's not Copter and that doesn't work for me.
It's clear this was made on a lower budget than the original, which affects some things. The decor in Wayo's bedroom is loathsome, the 'club' they go to drink at looks like a badly decorated studio and the cafeteria looks cheaper than an actual school cafeteria.
General gripes out of the way, let's get to it.
STORY: Rehash of the first series happens over the first four episodes - Wayo getting into the same university as the love of his life, Phana, in the science faculty. His best friend Ming getting into the same uni, only into the engineering faculty (yeah, they went there again), moving into the dorm and being snubbed by Phana, Wayo being chosen as the 'moon' of his faculty and practicing for the competition. Phana not recognising Wayo as the love of his life because Wayo pulled a Clark Kent and ditched his glasses. Phana and Wayo getting together. Ming starting to court Kit. Ming winning the contest and becoming the 'Moon' of the university etc, etc, etc.
The next eight episodes are dedicated to Phana and Wayo's relationship troubles (jealousy, angst and declarations of love), Ming's attempts to court Kit (which don't go well because Ming has trouble saying 'no' to his ex-girlfriend) and Beam drunkenly sleeping with Forth and Forth's attempts to court Beam afterwards.
The series culminates on a cliffhanger where a rival for Wayo's affections, Park, breaks into Wayo's room and molests him in his sleep. He then takes pictures of the resulting hickey and Wayo, devastated, runs home. Phana is justifiably pissed off at Park , and heads off after Wayo thus setting up the third series.
THE GOOD: For the most part, the acting wasn't horrible. Though I miss the original cast, especially Copter, I think changing the actor who played Forth was actually a good thing. Tae was 27 when he played Forth, and he was just too grown up for the kind of juvenile shenanigans that go on in this kind of BL. Pavel (Forth) and Dome (Beam) are only a year apart in age and it works better to make them a more believable couple and more believable as Uni students.
Having Samantha as Cake was also a huge plus. I loved her in Love By Chance and Until We Meet Again. Please, somebody, give this wonderful actress a lead role.
Mello, who produced the series, also put it out on YouTube with English subtitles already in place and that was very awesome of them. If they do the same with 2 Moons 3, they'll be my favourite production company.
THE BAD: I'm trying not to be too harsh here, because a lot of the problems I have are just personal preference. I don't like the fact that Phana is such a hypocrite. He gets jealous over nothing, but then has a go at Wayo for feeling the same way. He treats Wayo like a child, then chastises him for acting like one. He took Wayo to a club, then forbade him from drinking because he had an exam the next day, then gave him his phone and told Wayo to play games on it. I mean, all it was missing was a pat on the head. Is Wayo a grown man, as Phana tells him in a later episode, or a child? Make up your mind, Pha.
I had high hopes that Forth would be the more mature one of the group and he mostly was. Until we got to the field trip episodes where he basically manipulated Beam into apologising for something the poor young man hadn't even done. Not cool, Forth. Not cool. I don't know whether Beam actually had feelings for Kit, but I couldn't tell that Forth had *any* kind of feelings for Beam until they slept together and Forth just seemed to decide he wanted a serious relationship. There was no build up, no foreshadowing, not even a vague hint.
Ming and Kit's relationship did come along at a decent pace, not too rushed or too slow, and I liked a lot of their scenes, but what happened to Kit's personality? Where's all his confidence and sass and anger gone? We caught a few glimpses of it, but his character was toned down considerably from the first series and I was not happy about it. Can we have the real Kit back for series 3, please?
I realise that what I'm going to complain about next is practically a requirement of BL, especially Thai BL, but I am honestly fed up with the 'scheming girl wants to break the couple up because she thinks she should be with one of them because of her image'. No. Just no. Pring is an attractive, talented, intelligent young woman. Why would she waste her time going after a man already taken and who's already rejected her? Does she have no self-respect? Why are these female characters written to have no self-respect or sense of self=worth? Stop it, please. Just.....stop doing it.
REWATCH VALUE?: Yeah, it has some. I mean, perhaps not all the episodes, but there are some great moments despite the problems and it's an enjoyable series to watch.
I gave this three stars because I honestly think, if the writing had been tweaked a little and some of the set design improved, this could have been a brilliant series, instead of just a good one. It's worth a watch, just keep your expectations low.

Not that unique...
This show was one of my first BL shows...At first I was SUPER excited about it, but after I finished it, I almost forgot it existed.I am really sorry ... but the story is not that special and I didn't really feel the chemistry between the main couple.
And not just that, but the way the main character acted just because he misunderstood something, was just wrong!
But I am happy that's not the case with the other two couples!
My favorite couple out of all of them was ForthBeam, I don't know why but the way they delivered their acting was amazing! And the chemistry between them...I can't describe how much I like them together...
In my opinion, these two really deserve their own series!
I really want to talk about the plot... because I think they could have done it better, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone.
Even though the series is not unique, I think is ok ... u could watch it when u are bored or something or u could u watch it again, because is one of your first Thai BLs and it provokes u melancholy, just like I did!
I think I said everything I wanted to say... and sorry if I miss-tipped something, but my English is not that good.

I dont know how to feel about the new cast or the repeating story line, I honestly thought this was going to be a "season" 2 and not a "version" 2, something like, the extended side story of Knock and Korn from "Together with me" & "together with me chapter 2", though the actors are cute, they aren't as appealing as the original cast but, as I keep watching they do get more attractive.
The acting skills aren't up to par with the original cast, and need alot of brushing up on, there are also alot and I mean ALOT, of unnecessary pauses inbetween dialogues and the "awkward" pauses too are abit dragged out and it seriously gives me second hand awkwardness, and the characters do give off a more "hey this is the first time im acting/ met you" vibe on screen, as if they never ACTUALLY met before they filmed on set, so be aware if little things like this put you off, but all in all,
Actors 8/10
Acting skills 5/10
*mediocre, but I've only seen the first episode, I'll keep hope that they'll get better
Story line 4/10
*because its a repeat/ remake
I will keep watching even if some things dont progress since i really do love "2moons the series", so ill give this a try
Side note* fourth still hot and Kit still cute

The power of this series is in its actors. Ep 9 is my fav.
The power of this series is in its actors. They are not only good looking, but more than that their acting skill is great. The face expression and chemistry look natural. The story itself is not really good i think. I think it is too fast paced and only take several points. It might be better if they elaborate it more. On some point it completes the story left in previous version of the same titled movies. But on the other side, it is a way too short to show stories of 3 couples in only 12 episodes. What can we get from such short episodes. It should be at least 16 or even 18 episodes so there will be intriguing stories like conflicts etc. But yeah it based on comic, if im not mistaken, so the story might be a bit rigid.
I dont really like the song. Too slow and soft.
My favorite couples in this series is Ming-Kit. Kit is so "pretty". While Ming is naughty look.
Favorite episode? I have watched upto Episode 9 so far. I would say Episode 9 is the cutest one. I screamed many times watching it. So cute. lol.
