they served in many aspects!
I really think that this series was good, I enjoyed watching most part of it :) the only thing I can remember right now that I didn't like at all was the banalization of sexual assault in the script. The jokes Ming did about Wayo possibly getting abused are not funny, and the writers should be aware of it because it is really insensitive, especially towards abuse victims. Despite this negative point, I loved the show! the couples have healthy storylines, and a pretty natural development. I should highlight here Pavel Phoom's acting skills, it was his first role (as well as the other 5 main actors'), but he did an AMAZING job. His acting was so natural that I couldn't even tell that was just a character. He portrayed passion, confidence, anger, sadness and insecurity really well. In my opinion, he was the best actor, and I hope I get to see him getting more roles eventually, since 2moons3 apparently won't happen anymore :(Was this review helpful to you?
2 Moons 2 Is Actually Really Good
I know that a lot of people were hesitant about watching 2 Moons 2, especially if it seemed like a similar storyline as 2 Moons but with a different cast. However, I actually prefer 2 Moons 2 over 2 Moons. The main cast here has way better chemistry, nothing feels overly awkward, and despite this being fast-paced in comparison to 2 Moons, everything felt just right in terms of timing. There was actually conflict and while I do enjoy fluff, if there's no angst, none of the characters can grow or learn. Not to mention there's actually growth between the other side couples, which is a long time coming. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it!Was this review helpful to you?
The fact that we're getting a next season for sure makes me so excited. The cliffhanger this ended on killed me. I can't wait for the next season and to see all the cast come back together to show of more of their acting skills. Loved it!

The first episodes was repeating from the start of the first season, it was boring and i didn't stop compering the production and the actors. i like the first season a lot more even if the cast in second season having more acting skills. the first season was exiting and somehow "pure" like you feel it's amateur and even like student film and i like this because there are not element of commercial or "Financial considerations" they thought more about the freshness and first impression, but in the second season they think more about the rating and gaining. the cast was ok, but i only like Joong as he was the only convincing actor and Phoom as he is star by default...he is hot to die for.
so the main couple was so boring , most of the episodes you can watch at 1.25X speed because it's so slow, the dialog are slow. until the react to each other. it's not natural.
in the first season i forgive on this slow speed because the actors was fit to the role and cute , but here it was in force and annoying.
the last episode was ok but the ending with the main couple i just skipped it was very very boring, they are not convincing they are not fit to the characters at all, especially Ben as Phana. the previous actor was Gods and he were snob, tall and handsome, but here Phana was kind and short, it didn't fit to the character and just made it boring as hell.
Kt&Ming were the best couple they were cute but still...Kit was too stiff it was sometimes frustrating, the previews was more emotional and show more anger, this Actor Nine annoys me a lot, first he was to stiff and not convincing and also as a person i watched him how he act in front of Joong and i didn't like the snobbish acting.
Forth and Beam couple was ok...just because Phoom is really really star material, hot hot it's burn, and they used him a lot on that matter, for example he took his shirt off couple of times, for the thirsty fans. i pity him a lot because they use this poor young guy. the Beam was boring ...
i think it's one time flick that make you enjoy the moment when you are bored but if you have something else better...so go for it.

I was quite amazed how well all 3 main relationships worked and how I was almost never angry or annoyed by some ridiculous, easily explained drama.Phana will come down in history as the best boyfriend. Find me another guy in BLs who asks for permission before he kisses, says they will wait until their partner is ready and then lets them decide when they will take the relationship further (if you know what I mean ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), wants to talk and communicate with their partner about any situation that may cause misunderstandings, easily forgives mistakes, but first explain how they did hurt him, is not obsessed and possessive by not letting his partner hang out with other boys, understands that friends are as important to their partner as he is. The amount of times I screamed: YES MA MAN YOU DO IT RIGHT!
Not to mention Ben's acting, damn he good. He truly did look like he was deeply in love with his boi. I've got butterflies in my stomach just watching him look at Wayo.
Then we have the imperfect character of Wayo which makes the drama that much better. With how insecure he is, he creates the necessary tension and conflict that make the watching experience more entertaining. I wasn't sold on Earth acting tho. It wasn’t always natural and at times, his facial expressions felt exaggerated and over the top.
Ming and Kit... Another interesting dynamic - shy boy and a playboy. We saw it many times, but here it was a perfection. Ming was not portrayed as an asshole who cheats on his partners and parties all the time. He stays honest to his feelings and tries his best to not hurt others in the process of figuring stuff out. Kit needed someone persistent enough not to give up on him, because it took him some time to open up. I loved how they both learned how to accept each other.
Forth and Beam, my babies. They are the most different from all the previous couples. Their relationship literally sparks in one evening and then they have to figure out how to deal with what happened. Yet again, the key was communication. They were both honest about how they felt, even though they were not on the same page at first. But it helped them navigate and decide what kind of approach would be the best (or rather, it helped Forth decide how to go after Beam).
Can we talk about Park tho, because damn boi got me shook. He was literally just lurking in the shadows, showing up every few episodes causing just slight mayhem up until it all went to hell in the last episode. He was so hard to figure out and gave such an amazing creepy vibe.
Honorable mentions to: Cake for being the best girl ever. She was so amazingly relatable with her funny remarks (how she tried to hint to Ming's ex that he liked boys now, or how she reacted to guys being cute together and trying to cover it up in a natural way). Pretty gang too, such supportive friends! Willing to protect their boi Wayo from all the creeps around.
While some may say this drama was quite cringe, I'd say: that's what I love about it. Some lines were so ridiculous I started to anticipate more of them. It was simply fun and entertaining to watch. In my eyes, all BLs are more or less cringy and that's their charm.
Overall, I finished the whole show in one day/night. Was impressed how reasonable the majority of the characters were. The jokes were over the top, but somehow fitted perfectly into the type of storytelling presented.

When it comes to storyline, I feel like a little rushing. Because first 2 moons gave a great detail about the whole series. This storyline will make you a bit coufused if you didn't watch or know any of 2Moons facts or original storyline. But again, I like that I could get all of 3 couples romances. The first 2 moons the series storyline will end with just 4 episodes in this version and we can get a lot more about 2 moons. I hope that won't make you feel like spoiler.
Acting? I'm impressed with the youngest one " Ming " (Joong) .He has chrisma and a great potential ahead. All of the actors are great too. The couple I like the most in this version is definitely " Ming Kit" (though I was PhaYo fan before). But... I feel like this PhaYo version is a little over acting. I'm ok with Wayo (Earth) although sometime he's a bit awkward in shy moments , but Pha is not OK. It may be only for me. I think Pha characters is cursed or may be Pha is too difficult to be portrayed. Anyway, this Pha version is a lot more greater in acting than the first one. But not exactly in complexion.
Ahhh... Music? All I know is I do not like the auto tune parts very much. Still the good song though.I don't have much to say to this.
As concluded,I'll have to say to all the negative guys out there that you guys need to try this. It's definitely worth the wait and watch. Although I believed (like completely) that this version of 2moons will fail me and I can't replace the first casts with anyone.... but now It doesn't. A great improvement over all than the first one. May be better than the first one. I like PhaYo in first version but in this one, I like MingKit the most. My smile automatically came out whenever I see them.I let you know that first version of Kit totally failed me(don't swear at me ,sry xD) and I'm intrested in PhaYo only before. But now in this version, I'm intrested in the whole series that I can't wait new episode every week. Sorry for my boring and non professional review.I just wanted to recommend to you all. I'm assure that you won't be disappointed.
Love To 2 Moons and Mooners

Good, but not as good as 2 moons
That's my hot take. I loved 2 Moons so much, and I really missed the main cast from the first one, but I fell in love with the new cast and loved them just as much. I gave the original one a 9, and this one gets an 8.583 average, so I rounded down to an 8.5, so that's always fun. This took a little longer because it took me so long to finish episode 9. It's not that it was long or hard to watch; I just couldn't finish it. Still a banger. I posted a lot on this one, so we are going to go to the close friend highlights: 2 moons, 1/2, and 3 moons.I started this three days ago, and the first thing I posted was about Joong Archen because I love him so much. Than I saw Sammy, and I was so excited for the drama because of the familiar faces with these two, so we were already off to a good start with the THREE MINUTE THREE SECOND INTRODUCTION AGAIN. Bruh, why does it even need to be that long? I skip it every time, aside from the first time, just in case there is some banger song in there. There was no banger song, and it was just a waste of time. But already off to a great start.
I found out there was a new cast, and I was trying to put names to faces but couldn't because it was different people than the first one. So that took me a bit to wrap my head around. We started off with some of the same scenes as the first one, but since I watched them back to back, I could tell some of the lines were different; most of them were actually different, which was pretty interesting to see.
They made Ming and Wayo's friendship even better in this one, which is always good to see because they were just so damn cute in the first one. Ming is less of a whore in this, which is good, and he is also my favorite character because he was played by Joong Archen. I really loved the room designs in this one. They were so much better than the first one, and it actually felt like they lived there and not just slept there and left.
I am glad they had the glasses scene in this one because that was one of my favorite scenes. Wayo is so baby girl with his glasses and little ponytail; he is so cute, and I love him. The actor once again did a really good job playing Wayo, and I fell in love with him again.
Ming and Kit had more chemistry in this one, and I love that for them. The jokes were funny and had a vibe. I am glad we got more scenes with them and got to build more on them. I love when there are two couples because when the main couple is going to shit, the other main couple can just save us and make us all happy. We got that a lot in this one.
The piano scene didn't eat. I kind of hated it in this one. Wayo looked like a founding father, and that's the only thing I was focusing on. They speed past the whole scene of winning, which was a giving star in my mind. Ming one, and this time Wayo got 1st runner-up instead of 3rd.
Wayo and Phana are more comfortable with each other and are so cute. They had a lot of chemistry in this one, a lot more than they did in the first one. Wayo needs to work on locking his door; I posted about it, and in the end, that's what left us on that goofy ass cliffhanger. I continued to fangirl over Joong Archen.
Kit's beauty was more appreciated in this one. By Ming and by me, lol. He was just so cute; he still had a nasty potty mouth, but he was so adorable, and I loved him to bits in this one. Kit is such a baby girl in this one.
We meet Forth's goofy ass engineering friends in this one. My god, forth was such a baddie in this one. I was falling in love; it wasn't even funny. Forth and Beam actually have a conversation in this one, and they are both overly masculine, which was interesting to see. We have our first "sex" scene, which was weirdly placed.
Park's villain era starts, and I also start hating him, and my gut is telling me he is going to do something really bad, and I was so very right.
Sotus called; they want their enigneers back, bro. They want Arthit back, bro. The scene in episode 10, the first part, was literally sotus be so honest.
Then the rumors start spreading, and I just get so mad. I get so mad that I am screaming at the camera because of episode 12. Oh, MY God. Im so mad. Tell them the truth. Bro, tell them the truth. "You've got some issues, and you need some jail time." That was my quote, and then there was a cliffhanger, and I was mad to say the least. Okay, that's really it. This one isn't as good as the original, but I would recommend it. Okay bye!

And now, season 2 has ended and I loves it! The story line between the six moons and how they become a couple was brilliant. Even though they are still new in the acting industry, it was still a top notch for their level. At first my favorite couple was a ghost ship of Forth & Earth but now my ultimate favorite is ForthBeam. He managed to tame the doctor and made him his wifeu. =^.^=
This series is worth repeating as the scenes towards the end is amazing. Here's hoping for season 3 - with the same actors na na naaa ~

I love 2 Moons because of how true to the novel it was, but I love 2 Moons 2 because of... well, everything! I love the acting, the way they incorporated some storylines from all three books to give us more than just P'Pha and Wayo's story, and I absolutely ADORE the side couples~ It took me a minute to warm up to them because of how much I loved Ming and P'Kit from 2 Moons, but I feel like Joong and Nine fit the roles waaaaaay better. I even think Pavel and Dome are a better P'Fourth and P'Beam.
In conclusion, I love both version for different reasons. I think the best way to go about this is to watch both versions, giving them equal chances, and compare them when you're finished, but accept their differences. Just because one version is better for one thing doesn't mean the other version sucks because it didn't have that thing.
Also, just a thought: is it just me, or are the people who read the books the one who generally don't like this version? It doesn't show a lot of the best scenes in the first book, so I understand their qualms, but I was wondering if anyone else noticed that too~
