I was a bit disappointed when they switched out the cast, but I really liked season 2 yo vs season 1 yo. It gets very dramatic and they do a quick 3-4 episode recap of what happened in season 1. I definitely recommend watching season 1 first instead of jumping into season 2 just because there were alot of cute moments that weren't really covered in the recaps of season 2. I really enjoyed watching this, the 2 moons series was the first Thai drama and bl drama I have ever watched and now I am looking forward for season 3.

2019 remake that delivers what 2017 could not (CAUTION: SPOILER ALERT)

I started with the 2017 released but was left wanting as early as episode 2. Found this similarly titled series, not knowing it the 2019 remake, clicked on it for that fact alone. To be honest, I was very skeptical as well as dreading it would progress in the same manner as the original or worse as remakes go.

Pleasantly surprised this:
1) Had a more focused storyline;
2) Actors were more grounded in their roles;
3) Cast interacted with each other and the camera more naturally;
4) Backstories were put in where it was more logical and natural.

The introduction of an antagonist in Wayo's and Phana's story was surprising but not fully unwelcome. However I wish it was better developed and not inserted here, there and everywhere. Having said that though, in my opinion it is a step up over the multitude of side characters all wanting the Campus Moon in the original. 2017 was filled with women with weak established motivations who only distracted the story from moving smoothly along.

I want to find out what happens with Phana and Wayo's antagonist so I am crossing my fingers that there are plans to develop the couples' stories.

I loved all the couples and would love to know where life took them. Until then, I will spend a couple of weekends watching this series again.

I am not a fan of rewatching a series but this one deserves a shot of rewatching.

At first I admit that I thought I won't like it because I know some of you have the same feeling with me for those who loves the cast of season 1. i am really sad because I thought they can't give us the same feels of the season 1 cast. At the several episodes where the S2 cast re do several scences from S1 i am a bit cringe because in my head its still the season one cast but as the episodes goes by and the real story start I am hooked into it. Specialy when may Fave love team from S1 loves story are emphasized which is Kit and Ming I really love the flow of their story in this Season and I can see that they are more comfortable at each other (not comparing to S1 cast they are still exceptional!????) and even in their personal social media accounts in real life and the fact that they are just casted and didn't know each other from the start unlike the S1 cast which is under same management..
And I also love the flow of story of Forth and beam Wherein in S1 ome we dindn't feel anything within these two but in this Season we can see their start and love from each other and how two manly guys fall inlove with each other! And to the main Characters which is Yo and Phana They face the struggle of in a relationship, jelousy and other problems which is impressive. And I can say that the new Cast Give Justice to the Characters! I love it but I can't deny that there are still several imperfections that I see in this series but its reall payed back by the love story of the main characters.

thank you for reading my review.

So.. 2Moons 2 was the first drama I started AND finished watching while it was airing and there were some episodes where I was DYING for more.

I'm not really going to talk too much about the plot, except for the fact that it was a thousand times more interesting than the first season. The dialogues were better and I could actually see those events happening in real life.
I think the actors couldn't have fit their role better. I liked Pha before but Ben just...... he has so much charm i....wow I was amazed hahahaha he truly fit the role so well, I couldn't be happier. And he's an amazing actor too. The way he looked at wayo.. chills! I also loved this season's wayo, which was the biggest problem for me in the previous season. Earth is so cute and cuddly and his jealous scenes were so well portrayed. What can I say about MingKit/J9.................. I WAS SO SOFT WHILE WATCHING THEIR SCENES LIKE IS THERE ANYTHING MORE GOALS THAN THAT? ok, breathe. OKAY WHAT ABOUT FORTHBEAM HAHAHAHAHAHHA I WANNA DIE. I can't deal with these couples, I swear. I loved every couple equally and I was never bored or sad that the focus on the couple changed? Like, when they showed several couples in one episode. I was always happy and excited hahahaha.
They all worked really hard and even though this is their first work as actors, they did soooo well.
They are all amazing people too so I love watching their interviews and Pavel's channel. They are great together and I'm so glad they always try to communicate with the international fans :').

The opening song is great and I'm glad they added subtitles. The piano scene.. my heart can't take this )));;;.

I didn't aim at comparison but it's inevitable in some cases. I did like this season way more than the first one and I'm soooo excited for the third season that apparently has been announced. Lovely show.

This will be my own opinion, if you don't agree it's fine

First of all, I can't say which one I prefer because it's too different since in this remake they mainly focused on the two other couples and the story after.

Cast: I was disappointed that they didn't keep Bas (Wayo) and God (Phana). P'Ben played P'Phana really well but for me he didn't respond to the tall, manly and really handsome features that I expected but I still liked one very much. As forP'Earth he was really cute as P'Wayo no complaints there but I noticed the fact that in the 3-4 first episodes he tried to force himself to be cute what made his acting less good but he then did it less and he became way better. For the relationship on P'Forth and P'Deam, it was unexpected to happen so fast in one night but I liked it, their couple was really cute (P'Pavel was really hot btw lmaoo). finally my favorite couple P'Kit and P'Ming, I think I prefer these actors then the one of season, one even tho they were both also really good, because I felt more of a chemistry between those two. All actors did a really good job and I really enjoyed even tho I was really sceptical at the beginning.

Story: The story isn't anything really special but I still liked it quit a lot.

Music: I preferred the music of season 1 but the music of this season was good too.

Overall: You can watch 2 moons or 2 moons 2 first it doesn't really matter. But If you want the story of P'Pha and P'Wayo in more details and also the moons competition with more details watch 2 moons first. I can't say which one I prefer but I enjoyed both a lot :)
btw my English isn't absolutely perfect so sorry

I liked 2 Moons 2 a lot, it was way better than 2 Moons. I didn't really like that they change the cast, but I think this ones suit the character more. I liked that they develop MingKit and ForthBeam relationship, but in this season I didn't like very much PhaWayo relationship, because I think in 2 Moons they were more "inocent". I think if they make 2 Moons 3 I will enjoy very much but I don't think is going to be as good as this. I really liked the end of the series but I think it's not the best. For example, in Theory of Love or in Dark Blue Kiss, the ending was much more difficult to watch because I was going to miss the characters, like they were my friends, in this series I just dind't feel that way.

This series had 3 main couples: PhaYo, MingKit and ForthBeam (see pic). My problem was that I didn’t really feel PhaYo - the main pairing - until the very last ep, only then did it get interesting for me. Before… not so much because Wayo was too immature, and even though I didn’t like the way Phana acted at first, he then got much, much better whereas Wayo devolved until it reached a point for me when I started thinking that Phana deserved better. It was only after Phana called him out on his behavior that Wayo changed.

MingKit and ForthBeam, on the other hand, I was behind them from the start. I don’t even know why but their stories, they simply clicked with me. MingKit was cute and ForthBeam was hot. I loved Kit’s family issues and Beam’s depression (though it was only hinted at), and that Ming and Forth, respectively, accepted them the way they were, with all their baggage…

Also, another awesome thing was the ride or die friendship among Phana, Kit and Beam. The way they took care of each other, genuinely, affectionately, that was another wonderful part about this drama.

And I’m so happy to hear that there will be season 3! From what I heard, Pavel Phoom (Forth) confirmed it on his IG. I can only hope that, considering the BTS issues, it won’t end up being another Love By Chance, that would… irk me.

This remake/new season did not get off on a good start. The cast was changed after the old cast did a lot of promotion for the new season. I understand the fans' frustration over the sudden change, but that does not justify sending hate towards the new cast. The new cast has done nothing wrong and do not deserve the hate they have been getting. With that being said let's get on with the actual review.

I will admit that I did not have high expectations at all when I decided to give this remake a chance. I had my problems with the old series, and I didn't think this remake would be much better. But I am glad to say that I was wrong, this series and the three couples stole my heart.

Story - The story was pretty much pure fluff and I loved it. It will not be everyone's cup of tea but if you love sweet fluffy stories without any major conflicts this series is for you. Although some parts of the story felt a bit rushed due it having just 12 episodes. Some of the weakest parts were probably the Phayo scenes it feels like the director did not quite know what to do with the couple. It's forgivable though since the purpose of this season was to give MingKit and ForthBeam their deserved closure. Still, Phayo has a special place in my heart and I loved them although most people would disagree with me. More episodes would have allowed the director and writer to dive deeper into each of the story arcs. Despite that, they managed to make me love and root for all the three couples. Not a lot of BL series have managed to do that. Thankfully we get to see more of them in season 3.

Acting - All the main actors are rookies which is why some scenes are a bit awkward. The acting way better this season, they all looked comfortable with each other and the kissing scenes are some of the best ones in BL. They truly outdid themselves, especially the new Phana and Wayo. Ben seems much more comfortable then Godt was and I think he portrays a much better Phana. The acting of the six moons was what made this series wonderful.

Music/Production - I do not have a lot of complains regarding music and production. The music was good rather forgettable but it did not feel out of place in any of the scenes. The lighting and the audio were much better this time around.

Overall this series is great and I really recommend you to give it a chance. I can't wait to see what's in store for season 3 and I really hope they won't change the cast this time.

First of all , I never watched 2 moons season 1, i'm pure new in here. I never knew about wayo phana cast before. A friend suggest me to watch 2 moons s1, but since she can't move on from the original cast i decided to skip s1 to s2, she said it was okay to watch because the first four episodes told the original story.

Okay here we go at the first episode i don't like phana becus his acting kinda cheesy. But i still watch it since my another friend gave me spoiler that we have other couples. I saw Ming and i fell in love with his character, the way he protect wayo as a bestfriend this is one of social value example. As long as i pay attention to ming then i was introduced with Kit, their story kinda cute.

Then in the middle of episode, phana's demeanor to wayo made me respect his character he's such a gentleman, the phana actor acts well as episodes increase. When phayo relationship back to normal i mean the story feels increasingly monotonous, i was introduced to Forth and Beam. First i saw this couple was kinda similar with Sotus mixed up with Together With Me. I give it try evidently the story is far away from sotus, and their early stories might be similar with Korn & Knock after that their story also far away from tgwm.

Forth & Beam story had special place in my heart. It reminds me of my first love, my first relationship. This is the most realistic plot among the rest. Their acting was superb (Forth Beam). I like Forth's acting among all. In the beginning he just nothing then he stole my attention at the end. I want to give this couple 9.5 rate since i have a special bound between their story & my past story. This series was beyond my expectation

The music also good!!!! August of the 'love sick' sang it. I love August <3

I really loved this series. I have watched each episode about a million times each.
I don't think they could have chosen any better actors. As they fit their roles perfectly. The problem I have is with the screen writing. I really like the way they wrote the series. However they did not portray the relationship between Pha and Wayo well.
In the novel the character of Pha's attitude is a mixture of Forth and Pha.
However we don't get to see that in this series, as the screenwriters cut or changed those scenes. (Probably to make the series more PG.)
Now let's talk about the last episode.
They really ruined it. Those two scenes were the climax of the whole story. One scene was heartbreaking, the other incredibly satisfying. And they ruined it.
I do reccomend the series. Like I wrote before I have watched it over and over again. Just don't read the novel first and if you did be very open minded.

They are the only reason I'm here to leave a review. Though KitMing were the most natural couple in this version, I really enjoyed the evolution of ForthBeam. I felt it was deeper. But the playfulness of KitMing was really fun to watch. I was actually very sad for the lack of chemistry between Pha and Yo. I liked Pha's acting but Yo never matched it.
Directing...am conflicted to comment on it because the behind the scenes parts seemed fun, but somehow that fun was never transferred to the screen. I found the pace very slow, especially when it came to Pha and Yo's story line.
It ended with "to be continued", so I presume there will be more of it. I do hope so and I do hope they'll all be more comfortable with each other and come across more natural. I did like all the actors, even the "bad guy". He played his role very well. Hope to see him again. So yeah... :)

AMAZING SHOWSTOPPING SPECTACULAR NEVER SEEN BEFORE

Story
Such a great story honestly love it. I love it. I love how the relationships here actually learn that they need to communicate and they do!!!! There are no toxic relationships (except Park) here!!! Story line is sooo great and I am super excited for 2Moons3.

Acting/Cast
Personally this cast just seems so much more comfortably with each other that the last season. They did so well and their chemistry is amazing!!!!

Music
The OST for this season not going to lie I think I like season 1's OST better. However this one is also catchy and enjoyable. I like the part where it is like "Hi hi Hi Hi wanna say hi all night" I think when the singer say hi it sounds cool. Anyway.... 10/10.

Overall
A MUST WATCH!!!!! I love it and honestly like I said before you don't even have to watch season one to understand.
