Not bad but not really good series.
This series tells about 3 youngs who suddenly become fugitives. It all started when Neo (Joss Wayar) as the main character in this series was involved in an affair with the wife of a wealthy businessman. This wealthy businessman named Mr. Thana. at that time, Mr. Thana told his men to kill Neo and bring his wife home but what happened was his wife who was killed by his men and Neo managed to escape. Long story short, one of Mr. Thana's man is killed by a woman named Miw (Wjmild) who finally creates a feeling of revenge for his friend (Gunsmile as Ter) and his lover (Jennie Panhan as Mae). Shin (Tay Tawan), as an only son of Mr. Thana, falls in love with Neo, because of that he as a man who happens to be at the scene with Miw, and Neo decides to help Miw and Neo escape. so, from here the story of this series was begins.Overall, I like the storyline even the plot is very very predictable LOL.
But the acting, (i'm so sorry) this is a bit horrible I think. Because sometimes I've been annoyed by the bad acting of the main characters (especially Joss). I didn't feel the feeling that the main role was trying to convey in some scenes. in fact, I felt that the supporting roles' acting was better. I admit that Joss is still new to acting so that's why I think he needs to practice more.

This is by far, one of the series I don't regret watching. It introduces us to different lives of different people. We have Neo and Miw, who are both working in bars for a living, and we have Shin, a wealthy son of a mafia leader. Their differences is what made this series interesting. They tackled a lot of real-life issues in here, prostitution, rape, murder, polyamory, and one of my personal favorites, the representation of the LGBTQ+ community. GMMTV isn't a stranger when it comes to the BL industry, and them incorporating polyamory relationship between a gay man, bisexual man, and a straight woman is definitely one of their best moves, not to mention Jennie's role as a transgender (I'm actually glad they picked her to play the role, not some other ciswomen). This drama is definitely an eye-opener to everyone, not only because of the LGBTQ+ representation, but also about prostitution, which is highly regarded as an immoral job to some. Great job to everyone, especially Mild, Joss, and Tay. Was this review helpful to you?

So I have been putting off watching this show for a while. The story sounded interesting, but at the same time it sounded like it could be really bad if executed really poorly. I really enjoyed it.
Mew - Mild was amazing as Mew, even though she was really annoying in the first few episodes. I really enjoyed her IDGAF attitude.
Neo - He was probably my least favorite of the 3, but at the same time I liked how he was willing to take the fall for the people he loved. I felt bad for his brother though.
Tay - I hadn't watch DBK or any of Tay's other roles before. But I thought he did a really great job as Shin. Shin was probably my favorite character in this show. I love how he was willing to sacrifice everything for his friends even though he felt so insecure about his place in their relationship.
Mew/Neo/Shin - This polyam V makes me so happy. We all know that Shin/Mew are not gonna be together, and it's Neo that is keeping them together, and I love that they both still love each other and their actions are not out of jealousy. Except for that one time after Shin catches Neo/Mew kissing before the three of them talk it out, nothing they do is out of resentment or hate. They still talk to each other, and love each other, and put each other first. Even when Shin has to made a difficult decision, Mew is willing to sacrifice herself. It really speaks to how much the three of them love each other. It really is a beautiful relationship. I love how Mew is like "f**k what society thinks, its us who are together" . My only criticism is that in the show, it definitely feels like Mew/Neo are favored over Shin/Neo, and even over Mew/Neo/Shin. This kinda made me a little sad, because that's not what the characters are telling me.
Jennie - OMG! How amazing is Jennie!? She was so wonderful as Mae. Her entire journey, from being the girlfriend of an assassin to being the vengeful girlfriend of a dead assassin to her realizing she wouldn't gain anything from revenge, to her choosing her own happiness. To her choosing and losing Tur.
Tur - I think Tur was my second favorite character after Shin. I loved him so much in this show. He shows the most growth in the show. I think he was low-key in love with Phon even though they never say it in the show. Either that, or he was always in love with Mae. IDK which. Either way. I loved his entire arc. Except the end. *Still so angry about this*
Leo - I love Podd. I think he is so amazing. I Watched DBK after this just because of Podd and Tay, more because of Podd. I think he did such a great job as Leo. I wish his role was longer.
Phon - Phon was such a beautiful character. His death catalyzed a lot of events in this show, so it was essential, but at the same time you wish he didn't have to die.
PP - this character was hilarious. From start to end. I wish Neo and Mew were more jealous about him, and more possessive about Shin. It makes me sad that they weren't. But at the same time PP was hilarious - flirting with his boss all the time.
Luang - It's so weird to see prame in an Adult role. I've always seen him as a high schooler (the gifted, blacklist). And here he is having been an adult for years. Hahaha.
Overall I really enjoyed this show. Music was not really memorable. But the cast and acting was amazing. The story was entertaining and fairly well executed. I thought it was going to be a hot mess, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Dark and daring
It was one of my friends online who has recommended me to watch this serie but I took some years to finally watch it and it's indeed worth the watch, I enjoyed it!However, I would like to add the fact that, what I didn't really appreciate were sometimes the choice and the behavior of certain characters which I won't give spoiler and name lol
Sometimes I feel like they could take a different choice and that it could be better, it could impress me more but hey, this is a serie after all so at the end, I won't really be nitpicky.
Things that I really appreciate is that, the setting is quite different from what I've seen and it takes place in a dark part of Thailand, what I mean is to depict people who have struggle in their life but no matter what they are strong and they deal it in their own way and we also have the dangerous part in which there's violence and how our characters overcome all of it.
I like that they show us strong women but also the life of a tranwoman (I appreciate a lot Jennie's character here, she looks so serious compared to her other work and here it's to try to educate and showing us the struggle and to understand her character. I also like how they depict different sexual orientation and the development of the relationship between the characters, it's complex and interesting leading to be somehow open-minded about it. Although, personally it was a bit hard to interpret or to feel the connection for some part.
Lastly, I would like to add that, despite some flaws, it's an interesting show and an eye-opener to watch once in your life.

Words aren't Enough..
A very refreshing storyline that blurs the lines of morality and simply gives you each person's perspective. It had great pace and interesting characters with their own goals and motives. No scene gets wasted, without contributing on developing the story itself or the characters to their journey of finding themselves. It mostly has a darker undertone and enough emotional scenes that will get you in the feels, but there are also more light hearted elements included that keep it balanced, so it's easy to watch and not that heavy. The acting was also pretty good and so were the music choices.I would give it a higher rating if I had formed a stronger connection with all the characters. I feel that's the only thing this series lacked during my experience. I could deeply relate to one character only and cared less for the others.
If you haven't watched it yet, what are you doing with your life? ? I definitely recommend to everyone. This one is one of the best written stories out there!!!

When I started watching this, I didn't know that it'd be a favorite, but it is now.
I started watching this exactly 6 months ago. It was one of those shows I would watch in between waiting for the episodes of currently airing shows, but then I found myself wanting to binge it in the last couple of episodes. For a show made in 2019, 3 Will Be Free, I have a feeling that it was a breath of fresh air during its time when BLs (esp. GMMTV BLs) were still trying to actually hone in on an inclusive message without falling into the trap of harmful stereotypes. The characters' progression in their relationships does not feel forced or done just for the sake of progressing the relationship. Moments were not added just for the sake that characters dive into fluff or romance. The push and pull and give and take is there. Of course, this show is far from perfect. There are plot points that are glossed over or were never given an exposition, but those didn't take away from the absolutely enthralling dynamics of the trio. Their relationship blossomed beautifully to the end.
And even though we were served by a seemingly late last act/conflict, those still managed to show how deeply the trio feels for each other and not only to tie a loose end. And at the end, it reminds us of what we've always known, love is love, no matter what (or in this case how many).
Even considering all its flaws and rough edges, I could definitely say it's a gem. When I started watching this, I didn't know that it'd be a favorite, but it is now. Great watch!

Unique and Totally Bingeable!
This is a series that you don't want to put down— you just want to watch it from the beginning to the end. I enjoyed the ride immensely, and honestly I'm a bit sad to be done with it!To start, the acting was just incredible. I've been fan of Mild and Tay for a while now, and they both brought their A-game in this show. And this was the first of Joss's shows I've seen, but I'm definitely a fan of his now. The three of them worked so well together and had such good chemistry— they were the best choices for a poly relationship. And the relationship!! It was really well done, though it did feel a little open-ended by the very end.
The plot was intriguing the whole way through, and I really enjoyed Mae and Ter's subplot as well! It was really emotional, and and interesting way to show us how messy the whole thing is because even the people hunting down our main characters are full people with feelings and contradictions, too.
I think my only real complaint was the very end, how Mr. Thana was finally defeated— I won't say how or what happened, obviously, but it was kind of a mix of vindication and convenience. Like I was happy it went the way it did, but it felt very easy after all the troubles they've all been through.

Not my cup of tea!
I have watched a lot of shows, but this one was the worst - my own opinion of course. More of a gangster movie than anything else. Some scenes were just too unbelievable to watch. This series did not stir up any strong feelings of romance, love, happiness, etc. so it wasn't something I would normally watch, I gave it a try because the rating was high, but the only character I even liked was the main character, the mafia boss's son. And in my opinion, he was just used by everyone. It is definitely a dark series. Was this review helpful to you?

3 will be free made me realise that Thailand is famous for the wrong genre of movies/series. Everyone is crazy about BLs and series from another category are rarely discovered. The whole story was amazing. It fit my expectations for an action/mafia series and every time I was just more surprised. There is only one thing I don't understand tho.. Miw said she was raped by her stepdad, but when the scene when she was teoretically supposed to get assaulted came, she killed him before him getting in the act. Either I or the story missed something. Anyways, I loved the connection and love between Miw, Shin and Neo, but I wouldn't call it a polyamorous relationship. What they had was more of a close friendship or simply friends that did more than friends do. I don't know if they were really supposed to be a polyamorous relationship or the tags are just wrong, but one thing is certain; they were simply friends. Overall I recommend this drama for anyone, Thailand surely does a good job in casting series and they need more appreciation for it ! Was this review helpful to you?

total hidden gem! (also the youtube commenters are wrong)
Spoiler-free endorsement, aka please go watch this show immediately:In general I find the (narrative) quality of GMMTV shows to be super hit or miss. It usually looks pretty good but they’ve put out some stuff I think is really interesting and moving, and also a lot of really weird boring romance content.
I’ve watched a bunch of the GMMTV shows at this point but I’d never heard of this one until I ran into a random review on here that convinced me to give it a try and I was totally hooked from minute one. The pace is quick and doesn’t drag or linger on random filler in between romance like a lot of other shows tend to do, the acting is really good, and the characters are really nuanced and complex. In general just a super satisfying tv show.
The show this reminds me the most of is Veronica Mars. I adore that show as well and they both have this similar aesthetic and this really unique thing where you know that things are probably going to go wrong for your protagonists but can’t help but want them to make it anyway, despite it all. In both shows, the heroes live in a dark, messy world that is trying to drag them down even as they try to escape. People are evil and do bad things, but it’s nearly always a result of circumstance and of those who hold power at the very top.
The romance:
I genuinely think the romance was the first time I’ve ever seen a poly romance played completely straight in a TV show? This show did a much better job than others of its kind dealing w the nuances of interpersonal relationships and leaving a lot of room for the ways in which identity and sexuality can be really complex.
I also just think Tay is a really really good actor and I would probably watch him read the back of a cereal box so I do think that was contributing. But his character was really good! I loved Dark Blue Kiss but I think he does an even better job with this character and his chemistry with the other two is super believable! It has a really soft, sentimental feeling without ever devolving into meaningless fluff.
Me being petty for 4 paragraphs:
Now: to be petty and address some of the (in my opinion undeserved) critiques I saw in the YouTube comments as I was watching, because I felt like people were watching a completely different show from me a lot of the time.
I saw a lot of comments about how people watching it didn’t like Neo and a lot of comments about how they felt that Shin’s character often felt left out of the main relationship, and that it was mainly Neo and Miw with Shin third wheeling. I will address these separately.
Neo. Ok maybe this comes down to personal preference but I thought his actions were completely understandable. I guess people thought he was rude to Shin but honestly for me I thought he was super kind to Shin and did a lot to mediate his relationship with Miw at first. I honestly thought it was great characterization and it really showed this super go along to get along, people pleasing attitude that Neo has. He makes a really good foil to Shin’s kind of neurotic insecurity for exactly that reason, and in the flashback you can see that’s exactly why Shin was drawn to him in the first place. Yeah he starts acting super insane after his brother gets murdered but I will be honest that made a lot of sense to me as a character beat. So I didn’t think he was any worse than anybody else in the show, and he had motivation to act the way he did even if it wasn’t always in the best interest of the other characters.
Shin getting left out. First off, I think his relationship with Neo gets way more airtime than Miw’s relationship with Neo. Like if anything it was more about that and Miw’s relationship w her ex than Neo and Miw’s relationship. I guess my read on this was more than Shin was creating this distance in the threesome himself because of his insecurity about his identity and circumstances. I thought it was super consistently done and relatable. Shin is shown to be insecure and somebody who is timid and overthinks things. He’s also shown to be extremely aware of how different the world he comes from is from Neo and Miw’s world. And I think throughout the show Neo especially, but Miw by the end as well, do a really good job bringing him in and telling him how much they care for him. Idk I know a lot of people leaving these comments just want to see a perfect happy ending but I thought the nuance was good.

One of the best from GMMTV
This show is honestly one of the best offerings I’ve seen from GMMTV. The cast was perfect and everyone acted brilliantly - especially Jenny. We usually see her as a comedian but she did a total 180 degree turn here and did so well. I loved the action, the exciting plot which kept me on my toes and the friendship between the 3 main cast. This show pushes the boundaries with sex and gender awareness and is such a breath of fresh air. Once you watch the first episode you want to keep watching all the way to the end.Was this review helpful to you?
