Pei Huai teaches He Cheng how to fight back against the bullies. Someone goes to kill He Cheng and his mom. Pei Huai visits and the house has been ransacked. On the way back Sui Zhou takes Tang Fan on a difficult journey and they almost die crossing a booby-trapped bridge. The emperor is worried about Wang Zhi, that he will change after tasting too much power. They decide to split up to protect Tang Fan. Duo Er La pretends to be Tang Fan and travels with Sui Zhou.
