It did start of good and unique, I loved all the parts in North korea ones but did get slightly bored at the other half. The only part which I disliked the most was overusing the " I have met you before its fate" type of gliche. I would have been more happy if they just randomly met as total strangers with no gliche parts which they made A LOT. I started liking the second leads more, they felt more realistic with the way it went but also dissappointing for how it ended especially for our second lead girl who did not deserve such fate. Story is unique but romance very gliche but a lot of the characters were fun to watch. If you don't mind how unrealistic it can be and just focus on the symbolism side its not so bad. What wasn't gliche was mainly about second lead not going into full asshole mode like it is in most dramas whenever there is love rivalry going on. So that part was refreshing and Dan did end up becoming my favourite in this show and then her quirky mother. The rewatch value for me is never high but id probably rewatch it after a couple of years has passed. It did have a lot of funny scenes which I enjoyed a lot and knowing more about North Korea especially when the train stops scene which was one of my favourites.

A Piece of Art.
This drama is truly a piece of art. And I really mean it. I still can't get over it. For me writing this review is like trying to express my inexpressible love for this drama. I'll try my best:I already saw this drama on Netflix last year, but I couldn't get myself to watch it, partly because back then I wasn't that much into korean yet, partly because it was hyped so much. Often that can scare you or get annoying, but let me tell you one thing: THIS drama deserves the hype, the high ratings and the love. It's really worth it.
Story: When I read a summary of the plot, I got interested in the story, it just seemed so creative and new for me. I got hooked in the first episode, the plot really was creative. I stayed hooked until the very last scene. So at this point, probs to the writers, you really know how to write a creative, interesting and hooking story.
The story had everything: A heartwarming, cute and mature romance, beautiful friendships and characters, some really nice action parts, but also scenes to laugh at and scenes to cry your soul out. In conclusion: The story had everything you might wish for. The story for me was just perfect. It was well-written and unique. I heard a lot of people say that they had wished for another ending, but for me the ending was the most beautiful and aesthetic ending I've ever seen in my whole drama-watching career:) Also I had NOT expected it to come that way, so it was even better that I couldn't predict it. Also the story hit me right in the feels, I cried a lot of times and it is one of the few dramas that you can actually feel with all your heart!
Characters: I really fell in love with almost every character! Of course there were some I couldn't stand, but that was okay. My favorite characters were of course Yoon Se Ri and Ri Jeong Hyeok! But I also loved the Soldier squad! They were so cool and always made me laugh:) I especially liked the youngest one and the one who loved K-dramas^^ Every character had his very own story and it was interesting to see where they all go. Also the inhabitants in the military village, they were just iconic! I really loved the vibes there.
Acting/cast: The cast couldn't have been better! It was sooo well-chosen, you really believed that the cast was living their roles. The acting was on point, I had no single moment where I thought: Ugh that didn't seem realistic. That happened not a single time! The cast is very talented, I could feel the chemistry between the ML (Hyun Bin) and the FL (Son Ye Jin). It was so strong that I really believed they were in love! THAT is good acting:D Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin were just born for their roles!^^
Cinematography/scenery: Okay I just had to add this point, mainly because I fell in love with the sceneries! Especially the one in Switzerland, Sigriswil. Oh my god was it beautiful! It was the perfect place to film the story where everything began. I want to thank the producers for making CLOY so aesthetic and authentic and pure how it is. Also every place seemed so real that I truly believed it's how it looks like in North Korea, even though it was filmed in Mongolia.
Music: The music was very special to me. I fell in love with every song, even if it just played as background music. I think the piano piece "The song for my brother" is the most special to me. Of course the music was again very well-chosen and fit perfectly in every scene. I just love the album with the OST. So beautiful, I can't even describe it in words!
So, I hope my review helped someone out in the decision whether to watch or not! ;D For me this drama is a 10/10! It's my favorite drama so far and I guess it will stay in my top-ten list for a really long time. If you're still unsure then please just watch the first episode! This drama will draw you in immediately and you will be hooked! Get yourself a cup of tea and a blanket and start watching!!! You won't regret it :)

Reminisce with a warm and engaging family environment :)
A beautiful drama with a complete package that leaves a deep impression. This is the best modern Kdrama for me since it contains multiple genres which makes it a roller coaster ride. This drama is so realistic, I could not even stop thinking about every single scene when I come back to my daily life. Amazing CHEMISTRY between all of the actors not only the lead, though the lead is indeed the best one. I never skip the scene, it has an awesome STORYLINE, realistic script, unpredictable plot. Rom-com drama that makes me cry a lot. I never get bored re-watch again and again. All of the OSTs are extremely great. This is really MUST WATCH! :)Was this review helpful to you?

LOVED IT!
Likes: Hyun Bin in uniform...need I say more?Dislikes: Yeah...you're going to have to throw logic out the window.
If you like a good forbidden love story with sparks flying, then do yourself a favor and watch this drama. This was a CRACK drama for me...completely addicting and left me in pieces until I could get more. The chemistry was sooo good! Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin are a match made in heaven and I really couldn't get enough!
I loved that the story had some action and danger mixed in with the humor, flirtiness, and longing. I have to admit, at first I didn't quite like SYJ's bratty character, but it didn't take long for me to warm up to her and find her comical. As for Hyun Bin, I'm biased, but I think it'll be hard not to fall for his charming innocence, protective instincts, and humorous reactions.
If you can turn a blind eye to some of the logistics to the story, then I think you'll be in for a very fun time.

I am curious if I am the only one that laughs where there is someone almost dying or that got shot and the viewers are supposed to be worried about them dying. I laugh so hard that I yell...."Die, die, die, die" because I know they will not. This is a great show and I give it almost a perfect score: as an American that watches tons of K-Dramas, this is one it wonderful. Yet still predictable when it comes to people almost about to die. I laugh and laugh and laugh because we know they are not it any danger; this show messed up on the ratio of drama to death. Because we knew the primary characters were not going to die.

The first part of the drama was amazing. Sure, the first episode was a bit of a mess, as they were trying to fit in every back story in order to lead us to the big even of the female lead getting into North Korea by accident. And while we're at it, I would have liked if they had given a more in depth presentation of the main character's background and her relationship with her family, as the latter was a big part of her life and personality and a lot of twists were based on that rocky relationship.
That said, the part where the leading lady was living in North Korea was really good. I don't know if the presentation of the country was accurate, but the one they gave us worked for the story. The romance had also a nice pace and it had enough intense and lovable moments. Yes, some of them were cheesy, but they were enjoyable. The side characters were adorable and they added a comedy element to the plot. The male lead had some funny aspects as well.
Now, for the second part, it wasn't as good as the first part, but it was enjoyable. It had enough action and thriller to keep things interesting, and the side characters were simply pure entertainment. The second couple had some time to shine during the second part too, however, their ending was really disappointing, as it was rushed and not properly done.
Finally, the settings and costumes were pretty good and the soundtrack perfect. The performances were really good from all the actors and actresses (this one was actually the only drama other than secret garden where I enjoyed the male lead, hopefully it won't be the last).
So, overall, eight out of ten.

Even if genre stated that it's a comedy I didn't kinda expect it due to the story type (north-south) but it was a comedy :) If I watched this show before I watched too many dramas I would have loved it. But now I can't help but find faults(?) get bored/tired(?).
Shorter review is at the end.
Story:
Love between a person from South and North Koreas. Well there are dramas like this out there, uniqueness came from how they met - "crashlanded" into another country. That was impressive. I loved the start. It was very interesting I was looking forward to it and was uneasy like why do they show side characters so much, while I wanted to look at the main couple. I was also uneasy because of the whole comedy. the situation was extremely dangerous and crazy but it was shown in the drama as light and comedic. I wasn't expecting that so I was taken by surprise but I grew to appreciate that part and that comedic part was what kept me here. In the second half of the drama which i thought i will enjoy more, my attention turned toward all the side characters and I lost interest in the main couple who kept crying, hurting, injuring, crying etc. I do understand those feelings and I cried too while looking at them but only because i'm oversensitive and tend to imagine myself in their shoes. Should I say the story got unrealistic? Well it wasn't realistic from the start but I think the word realistic has two meanings if not more. Realistic like in real world (dramas like Misaend, Black Dog) and realistic like logical(?). I am already used to dramaland unrealistic parts when they hear someone's conversation when they are like super far away, and don't notice someone coming in or hear someone talk when they are beside them only for convenience. Yeah that might be needed for the story. But still at least NIS can't be THAT nice and kind. Well I did go with the unrealistic-ness okay from the moment I accepted this drama as purely a romantic comedy and not a thriller.
the ending was ok. I can see that because of some political issues they couldn't do a different ending. So this ending was like very expected ending from the very start. I like happy endings and well yeah they can't do a happy ending for everyone because they need to keep the "impact" "emotions"...
I loved the references to Memories of Alhambra and Stairway to Heaven.
Characters/Acting:
Oh characters here were amazing! Especially side characters. At first I didn't want to waste my time watching them and not the main couple, but in the end by showing them so much, I grew fond of them more than the main leads. They were great <3 <3 <3 Lee Jeong Hyuks squad was extremely amazing, north ahjummas were really funny and nice, Se Ri's employees were also very nice and cute. Of course acting was top-notched. I like Hyun Bin from Robin from Hyde Jekyll and I.
Other thoughts:
I really don't understand why were they sued because of too nice North Koreans shown in a drama. I have to contradict myself saying that this is just a drama it doesn't have to be realistic xD on the other hand. That part actually might be realistic because it's not like every single person in a country is good or bad. There are all kinds of people everywhere.
Conclusion:
This is a nice drama to watch so i recommend this to anyone who loves romcoms. Those that have seen many dramas and are kinda tired of romcoms might not find this very good though. My rating is high because of the side characters and the comedy. It was funny, otherwise I almost dropped it. But I am happy I finished it :)
Shorter Review:
What I Liked:
-Lee Jeong Hyuk's squad, Pyo Chi Soo (a north korean girl told his accent is the best out of all xD)
- north ahjummas
-north parents
-north accent
-showing us north's lives.
-side couple
-se-ri's elder brother's wife (the stupid one) funny
- Ri Jyoung Hyuk himself.
-Se-Ri's character
-His messages at the end
-Alhambra and Stairway references <3
-Too Kind NIS
What I didn't like:
-second part of the drama
-crying
-injuring
-dying living dying living
-too kind NIS ( i wrote this in like because i liked them but they were like extremely kind and understanding O_O, either all the other dramas out there are depicting the police, prosection, NIS as too corrupt, or this drama showed them too nice, no idea which one is true for now this one appeared to me unrealistic lol xD)
- My rewatch value is almost always 0 because i don't rewatch dramas.

It made me laugh, fear for the characters, cry. I was anxious, in the "good" sense of the thing, every week waiting for the episodes to be released on Netflix. And when did you take a TWO-week break? Woooow! The longing for the series hit me hahahaha
The characters are so captivating and convey a feeling so true that even the villain was charismatic and played his role perfectly. Got that pose of someone who fears nothing and even gave a charm to the character hahahaha
Ri Jeong Hyeok's team is amazing! Even Man Bok, the last to enter, has already won my affection right away. The village families, the "ajummas", everything in this drama was perfectly placed, whether in the drama, comedy, romance.
The romance between Seo Dan and Gu Seung Jun was extremely wonderful, both characters were extremely well interpreted and constant since the beginning of the series. I loved their relationship and it surprised me that he had left Dan behind because he defended her to death. The way she chose to live life made me very happy, she loved him, no one else :)
The couple of the year (hahahaha) Ri Jeong Hyeok and Yoon Se-Ri were incredible, impeccable, extremely well built, polished, interpreted, both by the team of "Crash Landing on You" and by the incredible Hyun Bin and the wonderful Seo Ye Jin. I have been following their work for some years now and I intend to continue to hope that they continue to live their lives well, healthy and full of ardor for the profession, because honestly, they were born to act hahahaha
I say goodbye to the series with a tight heart, because I would super watch it if they had more episodes, but at the same time, I am happy that it ended up with all the elements that made this a wonderful story.
My congratulations to the team, director, producers, scenographers, cameras, costume designers, sound designers, etc, actors and actresses. Your work has made me so happy that I can't thank you and be typing this review without tears of joy on my face. A masterpiece!!!!!

This is just perfect in everything
It's very simple, this series does everything and can do everything. Romance is my favorite romance that I've seen in my life personally to this day, since I finished this series I'm touched by a gigantic nostalgia. The actors are great and their levels are amazing, their chemistry is on a level that I don't think I've ever seen in a series of romance. It's just exceptional. The secondary characters? It's simple I would like them as members of my family so endearing they are.
The music is amazing and unforgettable, it always comes at the right time and is very touching. They've obviously been on my Spotify list ever since.
The plot is very good and personally I found it really interesting.
The most successful thing about this masterpiece is for me the main romance and the chemistry between them as well as with all the characters. It's just magic.
This series showed me scenes that I would never forget. I hadn't even finished the show that I knew I was going to look at it many times in my life.
As for the emotion it gives it is very simple I cried from episode 4 to episode 16.
Sometimes I literally cried because the characters were just too endearing while the scene wasn't really sad...
In addition, the jokes and funny scenes are really funny and frankly it's too good because I'm not one to like shows that are too much in comedy. Attention I'm not saying that this series is a series of comedy but I'm just saying that the funny scène are really fun and it's cool.
Finally, I'd like to tell you that I don't recommend any drama as much as this one. If you're looking for a super touching story with amazing characters and a incredible development this series is for you.
Actually if you're looking for something magical that you won't forget Crash landing On You IS THE THINGS YOU SHOULD WATCH.
Please go and look at this masterpiece.

The best drama series l have ever watched.
l hate those looong reviews, so l´ll be brief...l have watched a lot of dramas (W, Queen Inhyun´s man, you who came from the star, etc) and l loved them...But this series just killed me...it kept me on the edge of my seat...The acting was awesome, the actress is beautiful, and the actor is handsome, if you like one of those series in which the main lead is so serious but so cute at the same time...this is for you...
DON´T THINK IT TWICE, l also doubted at the beginning, but ended up loving it.
With love, from Colombia!

CLOY is my kdrama home. I keep coming back to
Just like seri accidentally landed in north Korea I accidentally landed in kdrama world with crash landing on you.I didn’t know this show will give me soo much comfort and butterflies at the same time. I absolutely loved the star crossed lovers plot between two enemy nations. The dialogues were soo good and meaningful, I can’t still get over “ if you pray hard enough you will get to see the ones you miss”and “ wrong train gets you to right station”. Good dialogues are soo rare these days . But cloy gave some beautiful dialogues that i will remember. There is soo much warmth in the drama, i felt like i was part of the show. That’s the beauty of a show l, it should make you feel like you are part of the story.
We get to properly see their feelings develop for each other with time and not all at once soo it makes perfect sense why they just couldn’t be without each other. Also the story keeps you guessing what will happen next, the suspense keeps you going.
The chemistry between the main leads is just flawless. I feel in love with caption Ri and Seri. I was happy that they made it work in the end. It took years but they made it together.

This will make you Cry but in a good way
This drama have everything i didn't expect I will watch this drama and fell in love with itthe last 3 episodes made me cry the most that my parents asked me the reason because my eyes were swelled extraordinary, the drama is spectacular and the best love story I have ever scene.
Just because they were couple during this drama I feel like that's why chemistry was great.
I wish Second ML and FL had more scenes together but still they were great too.
I have watched 150+ kdramas in past 8 years (these are less because of parents restrictions) now if someone asks me what is your favourite drama definitely its this drama.
LOVE CLOY ?
