the best.
amazing. i might be a little biased but overall, in terms of production, OST, acting, attachment to characters, and how much i sobbed to this, i can say that for now this is my favourite kdrama i've watched. not only were the leads STELLAR in their acting and chemistry, but the acting of the supporting cast was phenomenal as well. i really love when a drama can fully develop on side characters in a way where they don't detract from the story and are used to make up filler scenes with which the audience grows tireless from, but rather, to enrich the kdrama by making you wanna live in that world. i'm a big, BIG sucker for found family tropes, and this drama was oozing with that. also i know that the whole 'it was fate' trope can be dramatic and laughable at times but i loved the way they executed this with all the extra scenes hinting at their story before they met. the directing was beautiful and captured the beauty in the simplicity of nk, as well as the gorgeousness of switzerland. and then, the OST. probably my favourite OST in a kdrama. this one is STACKED with bangers that'll make you cry your eyes out upon listening to it after the drama. so many emotional and beautiful songs in an album; sunset by davichi ended up being in my top 10 most listened to songs of 2020 LMAOOO. i fell in love with this drama and it'll always harbour a special place in my heart, from the incredible cast and characters to the magnificent production on all fronts. although occasionally tropey, you definitely don't mind it because ultimately they're all part of a wonderful story about fate and the testament and strength of true love. the only flaw this drama had was that it left a gaping hole inside me when i finished. as an excellent drama does. i apologize for being way too dramatic about this but,, its iconic for a reason. if you haven't already, please go watch it. you won't regret it :)Was this review helpful to you?

I love this drama so much.
This drama has been on my watchlist for a very long time, and i don't know what stopped me from watching it earlier, but i finally started watching it about a week ago while i was looking for something to watch on netflix, and i seriously cannot find the words to describe how i'm feeling right now and how big of an impact this drama has left on me.The chemistry between the two leads was out of this world, they were really meant to be (both in the drama and in real like ;))
I also enjoyed watching Dan and Seung Jun a lot, i wish they got a happy ending because they definitely deserved it.
Even the soundtrack is so hauntingly beautiful. Literally every thing about this drama is perfect in my eyes.
I just want to say thank you to the amazing cast for for all the emotions they made me feel and for this amazing journey.

Can’t go wrong with this
Great romance-comedy show for newbie k-drama watchers. There is a decent amount of action and violence for those seeking thrill. Plot develops relatively quickly and every episode has cliffhangers that reel you in to the next episode. Also gives a good taste of what life is like in North Korea while occasionally adding the classic South Korean business element for those who want familiarity. Music adds strong emotions to many scenes. Would rewatch maybe once a year. Overall, you can’t go wrong with this kdrama. You either love it or at the worse, think it’s mid. Hard to hate on this show. Was this review helpful to you?

And this will describe the difference life style of Koreans (North and South) and thier traditions.

Se Ri
I downloaded this series last year, but I don't know why I didn't feel like watching it, maybe because some of its scenes were spoiled on Instagram. From the first episode to the end, I was unconsciously laughing and my eyes sparkled with the intensity of romanticism and the good acting of the actors :)?The location, the script was good for me, it might be a problem for the series, but they don't like it, but the script lived up to your expectations, the choice and sensitivity in the casting of the actress was unique and stunning. Sun Ye Jin plays an extroverted business girl and Hyun Bin is a boy with a cold appearance and a warm heart. Jung Hyuk's friends are all great. The whole series was perfect for me and I fell in love with it. A special offer that you do not hesitate to watch. This series is worth watching once.it takes time
And I don't know if I'm happy that I saw the series now or sad that I didn't see it earlier, but that I knew before the series and that this couple got married and had a child. It gives a special flavor to the series and makes you feel the special chemistry and romance of this couple by watching it.
As for Se Ri's run, it was probably spoiled about 20 30 times before I saw the series, anyway it's a famous sequence, maybe 20 30 times I saw it, even when I was I didn't feel special. After playing the last episode, I said to myself, you finally have it. You can see the sequence in his series and I laughed, but hey, I'm already watching that sequence and crying for it!! ?☻?? It really felt different, the way Se Ri and Jung Hyun put the depth of love in that sequence was very strange and different.
In general, the series is one of the top series for me, a series with very sweet details and a great subject ??????

Smashing smash hit
What to say more that has already been said about this drama.I completely enjoyed it and was really into the storyline.
The acting was immense and carried the plot. I always never enjoy Hyun Bin in the first episodes of his series for some reason but I always end up convinced just by his acting. I am impressed by his acting skills, I remember watching Secret Garden and not be that appealed by his looks but ending up liking him overall by the end of the series and enjoying his visuals more and more - hands up to that!
Great rewatch value also, I plan on rewatching it whenever running out of good dramas to explore. :)
I also liked the balanced ending which I believe a lot of dramas lack lately.

I never can say goodbye...CLOY...
So, what is it about CLOY that make it so successful?1. Strong female lead that saves the man a few times! And is a successful & rich businesswoman.
2. Each episode it 1 hour and 30 minutes long which is great for story development.
3. Middle-aged leads. We like romance too! Doesn't hurt that both were single in real life and ended up marrying each other after this!
4. The North/South Divide is real. Giving rise to really imaginative stories like this one. Unique geographical /political situation
5.The characters. They are all so endearing and plentiful! You really end up caring about them and CLOY wouldn't be the same without them.
Where does it fail?
1. Second half. It gradually descends into Makjang without the comedy, getting more ridiculous with the fate coincidences!
2. Second couple feel forced at first. But I must admit the end of their love story made me cry!
3. Hyun Bin acting: tough guy one minute... stroppy teenager the next.
4. Second half filler. It suffers from the dreaded 16 episode K drama stretch, leading to symptoms of unnecessary flashbacks, advertising plug-ins & easter eggs!
5. Mobile phone disparity. How does the son of the general director not have a mobile in North Korea (and has to record a year's worth of messages) whereas a recently imprisoned fortune teller has one?
This was my very first Kdrama that kicked off my addiction. It was a revelation as I had never seen anything so romantic in my life! This has been my 3rd watch and as always, a pleasure. I notice things that I have never saw before, as there are so many details!
CLOY has an extremely strong start. The first episode is total perfection! Everything set in the first half in North Korea is genius but as soon as everyone crosses the demarcation line it starts grabbing at straws. The music is iconic and I really like some of it, just not classical, it's not my cup of tea. Son Ye-jin's acting is excellent, she is a really good comedic actress. I'm not really keen on the ending as it's left vague, but given there are photos up it must be a place she bought, I doubt she left her business behind to live in 'Swiss' alone, and the only way he could leave North Korea for good is if his parents died and he found another tunnel. And what if she/ he wanted kids? They would all get pretty frustrated!!!
Huffy Puffy!

Watch the end of each episode + There is also a special :)
SPECIAL here > https://kissasian.pe//drama/crash-landing-on-you-episode-10-5I LOVE this drama, especially the lead couple which is not always the best part of a romantic drama.
There is a warm community feeling: very endearing female friendships + male group.
Great acting, lots of laughter.
Son Hye Jin's crying... so soulful. Her funny skits ... hilarious!
The bad guy is really scary, brrr...
! Watch the end of each episode. Key scenes are there.
!! Rewatch Hyun Bin's face changing by the millisecond like a sunset, so many nuances! Great work.
He has pouting scenes! So funny!
SWOON: the leads got married after the show and are starting a family!! It's too much for my romantic heart!
The kids will get to see this drama with love scenes by their parents. Awww
The 2nd couple's story does not really match the quality of the rest of the show but it's ok.
I just skip them when I rewatch .
REWATCH value +++: some important details you notice only after knowing the story, Or maybe I was too focused on the subtitles?
Lots of love from Tio'tia:ke-Montreal :)

Maybe the best casted drama ever. Great dialogue. You won't care about the dumb story.
Everyone has seen it, most everyone has enjoyed it. Preposterous story...so stupid. Leans into the trope machine pretty heavy. But this cast. I just don't know what to say.
If the leads were looking into the eyes of each other reading random words out of the dictionary for 12 hours it would still be great. That these two are dating makes me think that the universe really does have a plan, we're all going to be ok.
The village women? As played out as that whole concept is...They're lovely. Absolutely Lovely. I would buy each one flowers every day just so they would gossip behind my back and then individually come to me with the dirt.
The Soldiers: Fuck you guys. Seriously. When i die and walk into the pub with all the people ive ever wanted to hang out with (because that's my heaven). These guys will be sitting around a table and it'll be the greatest night. I will sob uncontrollably when they walk off into the sunset.
I even liked the soundtrack and i never like the soundtrack.

Beautiful Portrayal Of North Korea
Crash Landing On You isn't your typical romance drama. It doesn't consist a heavy romance or anything. It is more like a slow romance which has a great directed story with extraordinary and unpredicted scenes. After finishing 13 episodes of Snowdrop, I have to say the drama wasn't a great show as it has many downhills and very slow romance. I never had attention for the casts and decided to try Crash Landing On You. I never had a high expectations or any sort of emotions for it. It is more like a kill-time drama. After finish episode 1-3, it caught my eye a lot. From eps 3 to 7 then 10 and so on. I couldn't stop it. I would even sneakily watch during my online classes. I was really addicted.
Despite the romance being a total chef kiss, the drama portrayed a very youthful portrayal of North Korea where everyone helps each other. I am sure that is everyone dream neighbors. We are always taught that North Korea is a fairly dangerous country. Well, this drama really showed how beautiful and innocent North Korea is.
If you have finished snowdrop and really want a same story concept, please try crash landing on you. This drama is so much better than snowdrop with amazing acting and more. Well of course, snowdrop is also unique and superior with Jisoo magnificent acting. I really do suggest you to try this drama!

This show is one that had me so happy, in tears, and just on the edge of my seat. Each of the plot lines and stories going on are so interesting from the initial crashing into NK, to her family, the military group, etc. It all shows each side really well and gives so much screen-time to each story. The "falling" part of the story didn't take too much time and most of it was spent building towards the main two falling in love and dealing with all their seemingly endless problems being hurled at them.
Her family story line and the contrast of them just accepting her death because of greed and money versus the group of soldiers taking her in as their own grabbed my interest immediately. I couldn't wait to see how shocked they looked when she showed back up alive. The story line of Ri Jung Hyuk being engaged was a little hard to sit through just because I wanted him and Se-Ri to be together so bad, but Dan plays a villain well - she was just forcing relationships and looking for love that wasn't there. The background story that I feel like didn't get too much spotlight that I feel deserved more was of The Rat. Him hearing his brothers death, the watch, him looking over Ri Jung Hyuk. I would have loved for that to get more screen-time.
The characters are so easily likable and lovable. Se-Ri is funny, smart, and she always gave me a laugh when hanging out with the guys. Ri Jung Hyuk was handsome, sweet, easily lovable and him slowly falling for Se-Ri was such a cute thing to watch play out. Every scene with them had me glued to the screen because of how well their chemistry was and how perfect they were for each other. All of the side characters are such great additions as well; From the military guys, their wives, Se-Ri's family and assistants - They all played such a huge role and have such a spot in my heart. I looked forward to every scene of Se-Ri and the military boys eating or their award ceremonies.
I loved this show and I would definitely give it a re-watch.

A drama I didn't think I'd love so much and get attached to. It was so unexpected that I'll be loving this drama because when I saw it on Netflix, I was trying my best to avoid it. I thought that it'd be one of those cringey romcom dramas, especially when the preview kept showing Se Ri paragliding to NK and it wasn't just calling to me. But then one day, I was out of animes to watch, it was pandemic and I was stuck at home if I wasn't working when I finally decided to give it a chance because there was no other dramas that caught my attention that day. The next thing you know I was up 'til 5AM binge watching CLOY.
After I finished the drama I was so lost. Even though it's highly unrealistic and there were some flaws here and there, I completely fell in love with the drama itself. Found-family, fake relationship, reluctant friendships are some of the tropes that I'm really fond of and CLOY gave it to me.
I love the relationship between Ri Jeong Hyeok and Yoon Se Ri, the way they couldn't help but be drawn to each other, the slow yet hopeful romance between them. I teared up like a baby when I reached episode 12, the scene between them drinking and Jeong Hyeok just letting loose about the things he wanted to have with Se Ri was just so romantic and heartbreaking at the same time. The emotion I felt in that scene was just so raw. It was between two people who wanted something so simple, but can't get because of the circumstance they're in. It simply broke my heart. Another thing I love about their romance is just that it's so innocent?? It's like they're teenagers falling in love for the first time. The way Jeong Hyeok took care of Se Ri, risked everything for her was just *chef's kiss* sana all.
Don't get me started on the found-family relationship between Se Ri and the NK soldiers. It's just so precious. No words can explain how much I love their bond. I call them Se Ri's little ducklings. I just treat them as Jeong Hyeok and Se Ri's sons :') Also, the friendship that Se Ri created with the NK ahjummas, they were so annoying at first but they grew on me. The show wouldn't be complete without their gossips. As for Se Ri's real family, I'm just really happy that they came around and made amends with her. A broken family starting anew once again is just something I love so much.
Especial mention to our second leads. I can't accept their ending. They were so great, and then the drama just had to do that. One of the things I hate so much is when a character is finally redeeming themselves, only to end up with a bad ending is so cruel. It's realistic at times, don't get me wrong, but fck to take away that chance to change was too much. I pretend that they have another ending, because that was not it.
Overall, I would gladly watch this drama over again until I grow sick of it. It fueled me with so much happiness that it overrides all the flwas and things I didn't like. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but give it a chance and who knows, you might end up falling in love with CLOY too.
Thank you so much to all the people who brought CLOY into action!
