I don't know where to start. This drama was so overwhelming. The plot was so deep yet so complicated but if you really focus and think about it, you'll understand. There are some loopholes in the time traveling and character shifting situations but I think the overall goal was certainly made clear. The acting was superb . so much emotion and the OST certainly meets up to standard. The OST is probably the second if not best thing about this drama. I have every song saved in my playlist and it's so nostalgic and surreal. This is more considered melodramatic and that's what makes it heartaching yet lighthearted and sweet. I highly suggest you try out this drama, i can guarantee it won't let you down. A big hands to the actors and actress I haven't been so impressed in such a long time.

Best time travel drama

I started this drama out of recommendation. I don't know any actor/actress from this drama. All I know is this is a time travel drama, and it's very short, just 13 episodes. So worth a shot to watch it. Boy was I so impressed! In my opinion, this is the most well scripted time travel drama I have ever seen. The acting is fantastic, each actors having to act different versions of themselves, especially the male lead. For a Taiwan drama, this can be considered a very low budget drama as compared to those China or Korean dramas. But it's very well scripted, the scenes are well planned, the acting great. This is my 2nd drama review, and I hardly write any even after years of watching dramas. I hope Taiwan will continue coming up with more original gem like this drama. Thumbs up.

It's been so long since I've picked up a Tw drama and this show doesn't disappoint, it's something special and unapologetically raw, even in comparison to some polished kdramas out there. A mydramalist commenter compared it to kdrama Nine, in the sense that there are star crossed lovers connected and painfully separated by father time, and of course I needed to watch it. Fair warning though, the drama does tackle triggering content like depression and suicide.

Spoilers:
As with all time travel dramas, be prepared to be confused as heck, that's a given. Then when things start to unravel and you put two and two together, the writers unleash some 'no no' scenarios during time travel stories. Like two Li Zi Wei's meeting one another, and doppelgangers also add to confusion. I love the concept, but wished it was laid out clearer.

Those twists near the end are brilliant! The reveal that the killer also has a time travelling doppelganger, and Chen Ru overpowering Yu Xuan for control of her own body, and impersonating as her to earn Li Zi Wei's affections. Simply wow. I cannot help but commend Alice Ke for this role.

You cannot blame Chen Ru though, there's something not right about the way Li Zi Wei and Huang Yu Xuan took over Wang Quang Sheng and Chen Ru's bodies, that felt a bit like body snatchers. The drama did provide a good resolution for that, and I have to admit one of the best drama endings I've seen in awhile (yes I'm giving you the side-eye kdramas!).

We got a good angsty solid romance here, and as we travel with the lovers though time and space, we got a little bit of everything from different stages in their lives, and the issues associated with it, whether its high school, college, or adult life.

I wish there are more heartfelt dramas like this out there exploring and pushing the boundaries. These are the types of dramas that give kdramas a run for their money. Not to mention, watching an 'oh so charming' Greg Hsu is like the cherry on top of a delightful drama treat.

'Someday Or One Day' is probably the best time traveling drama I've seen so far

opinions on dramas will always be based on preferences and it just so happens that Someday Or One Day has ticked on every single aspect that i love and am looking for in a drama.

storywise, its very unique. its a very different approach to the typical concept of time traveling. the pacing is perfect, not too slow or draggy nor did it felt too quick or rushed. plotholes were practically non-existent in this drama, you can clearly see the years of hard work they've put into making the script alone.

the actors did really well portraying their characters. both main leads were amazing on their parts, and kudos to alice ke as she did a very amazing performance as 2 different characters. it really showcased everyones acting ability really well.

i love the music, i tend to skip osts as i want to get myself into watching the drama asap. but it was different for this one. every single song is something to remember really.

i rarely rewatch anything, but i can actually see myself rewatching this in the future. its really something else.

how much do i recommend it exactly ? , A LOT, its just that good ... tho i do understand if the story is not too everyones likings, im not going to force my opinions on anyone ,, but to anyone who gave up on it just because of how meh the first 2 eps were, im telling you to not drop it just yet. watch atleast upto ep 5 and make your decision there. the story may be confusing but it unfolds itself as the episodes progress, the cliffhangers and mystery will make you want to watch it even more.

No SKIP button

Honestly, this is one of the best drama that I’ve ever watch. The story was really good, but I do get it why people gave low rating because of the jumping plot. But, c’mon! That’s explained everything, that make the story more interesting & surprising.

The FL, I would say she’s great when acted as both characters. I cried so hard with her whenever she misses her ex boyfriend and gave fake smile to all her surrounding. Eventhough I say her acting was great, but sometimes I kinda confuse whenever the character switched. The face emotion n expression sometimes still the same.

For the ML, whoaaaaaaah he’s really handsome lol. Both ML acting were great too! They showed the meaning of friendship? Also I find that it really heartwarming to see that one person can bring so much changes and happiness in her surrounding. Like the FL did to the 98’s world.

In this drama, you wont need fast forward to skip several scenes like I did to most C-dramas. Because every scene was really meaningful & surely you’ll get lost for the next scene?

FOR YOU GUYS WHO STILL CONSIDERING TO WATCH THIS DRAMA OR NOT, I RECOMMEND YOU TO WATCH IT!!! But a friendly reminder, prepare a box of tissue & some nice pillow to hug. If you’ve finished this drama, then I wish you best of luck to move on?

A Time Travelling Romantic Masterpiece

The time Travel element in this Drama is handled really well.
The complex plot and pace of the Drama flowed really well.
The stroy was interesting from start to finish and kept me well engaged.

All the actors did a a really great job, especially the 3 main leads.
Alice and Greg had really nice chemistry.
The music was really good, I really liked the main song by Shi Shi. It's been on my head these days.
The Rewatch value is not that high, because I already know the mysteries,
but I might find signs I haven't noticed before. So I will be rewatching this again.

Overall it's one of my favourite dramas, and my favourite Taiwanese one.
It's probably the best Taiwanese Drama out right now!

Totally Enthralling and Spellbinding

Hi there!
How have you been doing?
Hope all's well and fine.

Suggestions are welcomed.
Do comment and tell me where you agree and disagree with me.

BE CAUTIOUS, SPOILERS AHEAD!!

Getting to the drama~
Story: 9.5
This was the most creative and the most interesting time-travel drama I've seen so far. Although it's fictional, it's very logical as well and the rules don't change. I really loved the storyline although I love dramas only with a happy ending, I wouldn't say this one had a happy ending (maybe the last scene was just imaginary or a dream). Their were many questions which arise in the viewer's mind while watching it and the drama answers most of them. But I would really like to request a second part which doesn't involve time travel instead tell what happened after they destroyed that walkman.
1. Do Li Zi Wei and Huang Yu Xuan meet after the rescuing thing? (Like if the walkman has been destroyed the future changed so we can say that in the drama they never met after the rescuing thing, right?)
2. Why was there a scene in which 27 year old Huang Yu Xuan was sitting behind 18 year old Li Zi Wei in the year which seemed like 1999?
3. Where was Chen Yun Ru all the time when Huang Yu Xuan was occupying her body? What was the house like thing that she was captured in?
4. How come the last time Huang Yu Xuan time travelled she ended up in that house like thing which actually never happened before?
5. Why could Chen Yun Ru hear Huang Yu Xuan when either of them was in the house like thing while Huang Yu Xuan couldn't hear Chen Yun Ru when Chen Yun Ru was kind of practicing copying her?
6. What arrangement was it that day when Chen Yun Ru was supposed to die? Why did she already know Xie Zhi Qi would show up with some drug like gift? What was she talking about would hurt?
7. Who sent her the walkman? It was never properly clarified.
8. How did the hearing aid end up at the crime scene? We know Huang Yu Xuan was lying, so was it dropped when they brought her there to show her crime scene or is it another unsolved mystery?
Their were also several things in the drama which were never introduced as rules but seemed like one like the fact that the people who looked the same (for eg. Chen Yun Ru, Huang Yu Xuan and Li Zi Wei and Wang Quan Shuang) had different personalities which means Chen Yun Ru was shy, silent, scared kind of girl but Huang Yu Xuan was totally opposite, Li Zi Wei smiled a lot and was quite attracted to girls but the original Wang Quan Shuang was bullied, never smiled (as told by his mother on his funeral) and was attracted to boys.

Anyways, getting to the point, I would recommend everyone to watch this even those who like happy endings because this is a really nice drama, (for those happy ending people) if you suddenly jump to the ending you might feel very emotional and drop it so, see the whole drama in order, it's not that emotional.

Acting/Cast: 10.0
⨠ Alice Ke as Huang Yu Xuan and Chen Yun Ru, she very beautifully pulled off both the characters and their different personalities and the mixture of both their personalities when Chen Yun Ru showed afterwards.
⨠ Greg Hsu as Li Zi Wei and Wang Quan Sheng, I totally loved his acting, it was really nice, I liked the character of Li Zi Wei very much as well, that line "To be honest, I'm not Li Zi Wei...." totally took us for a moment as well.
⨠ Patrick Shih as Mo Jun Jie, his acting was very nice as well.
All the support actors and actresses did very well as well.

Music: 10.0
The music was so pacifying and nice. It seemed so profound.

Rewatch value: 10.0
It's so interesting and has so many twists and turns that you'll never be bored of it so, of course it has a high rewatch value.

Overall : 10.0

Hope it wasn't boring.
Lots of Love <3

Art in every way

"Someaday or One Day" is truly a production that you would call perfect in every way.
The romance, time travel and crime were all perfectly written, thought through and executed.
Throughout the whole Drama I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster.
The actors did such a good job. Every character was sooo loveable. I can assure you they will always be engraved in your heart.
There is nothing that I could say I disliked but I do have to say by starting watching it, you are choosing to take on a big commitment, as you will clearly feel a lot of pressure on your feelings.
You should deffinitly watch "Someday or One Day" someday and all I´m saying is that you should be prepared.
Here are a few tipps before you start:
1. Always have tissue paper beside you
2. Don´t read any spoilers. It will only ruin your experience.
3. Don´t even try to assume anything while watching. It took 3 years to write the story. You can´t guess anything.

"Someday or One Day" is art in every single way and lets us all remember that movies and series are also a form of art and sometimes it takes time to create something beautiful.
It´s an absolute Highlight.

JEEZ

i watched this show last year with my family because my father found the female lead pretty ... i thought she was okay looking but the make up made her look very ... fragile ??? and weak . so i wasn't really expecting much about this show . but wow it's amazing ...
i love the story . okay i mean ive always liked stories like this , when you gotta use your brains and when they time travel and stuff like that ... it really amazed me because the story line was amazing
the acting ... it's great . okay so for the female lead , the male lead , and the third male lead , they all had two characters to portray and they did so well !! you could obviously tell that they were different characters although they looked the same . the main cast and the supporting cast really has got the acting skills . solid acting .
the music was great . the theme song was really really popular last year and i went to listen to it before I watched the show and honestly speaking , i couldn't understand what was the hype about cuz it sounded ordinary to me . but if i listen again now , it's different . if i pay close attention to the lyrics , i can obviously tell that this song literally just tells the story of this show . apparently this song was made when the composer just watched the initial version of the first episode ... what a talent
okay so why should you rewatch this ? cuz i don't think you would be able to understand the plot of your first try . i searched up a lot after watching the show and could understand the basic storyline ... when you rewatch it and know what's happening , im sure you'll understand the plot much better

Unexpectedly good

As a time travel drama, I expected a lot of plot holes but the drama somehow was able to conclude all questions nicely.
The actress who played the FL was really good and gave different vibes for Yu Xuan and Yun Ru, even in the way they cry. My heart broke for Yu Xuan everytime she missed Quan Sheng and especially when she found the engagement ring.
The ML was a saint when I think about how much waiting he had done and will still do.
I felt that the second lead had the most important role since he was that one friend that Yun Ru really needed and it's through his actions that drama was able to turn itself around.
Hopefully more people will be able to watch and appreciate this drama.

On a way to perfection

I don't know where to start as my head is full of emotions, yes that was an emotional roller coster (btw I love roller coasters and so I'm definitely in love with this one!!!)
It starts slowly and it is itself a slow brewing series. Everything is slowly unfolding and we have so many details to pay attention to but it's such a pleasure to keep guessing this riddle every single episode.
When it comes to the plot I'll just say the it's a love story, the most beautiful one. Eternal and faithful, the love that can cross the time and the memories that should be the one that created it, pure and stubborn love, everything else is impossible to explain, just watch it!
Let me talk about the actors. It's my first time meeting Alice and Greg but I already had a pleasure of seeing Patrick. I am mind-blown by their acting ! Especially Greg, he definitely had a hard nut to crack as he had so many of himself to act as (can I just insert here a very random thought? - I loved this tiny LGBT+ moment, so cute, so pure, so brave and so sad in the end..." ). He is hella talented, what I loved about his acting was not only how he portrayed Li Zi Wei / Wang Quan Sheng (which I love sooo much, their bright personality, their clear heart and honest character along with the stubborn love that they were brave enough to pursue) but how he shown us their every emotion thru his eyes and his facial expressions. I could see how much he struggled, how much he was in pain, how happy or in love he was, that was Li Zi Wei / Wang Quan Sheng not Greg Hsu anymore.
Alice was amazing too, you know how talented she is when she brings so many emotions depending who she's porting at the moment. She can make you angry, sad, frustrated, happy, envious and many more, with her and Greg you'll go thru the kaleidoscope of emotions.
Maybe Patric didn't have such an extreme challenge like Greg and Alice but his character is not less liked by me, without our Mo Jun Jie this series wouldn't be able to connect, he is as important as Zi Wei and Yu Quan. BTW Zi Wei and Jun Jie friendship is definitely goals!!!
For the first time I'll talk about music... I want to say that this ost is already on my mac and iPhone and my family is already throwing me side glances as they have enough of "someday or one day" - which I'm obsessed with. But truthfully
it's hard to choose the best song as all of they were just so good plus so well matched with the drama!

If you don't know if you want to start it, then just start watching already! But you will not be able to have your easy drama with a simple plot, to have all the answers you'll need to wait all the way thru 13 episodes, but isn't it the best recommendation? Just go for it!!!!

It’s my first review and I’ll make it short and simple.
This drama is very unique, not cliche, and original, so if you’re like me having a trouble finishing a drama lately it may be a good drama for you.
However the ending is a bit rushed or I would even say disappointing in my opinion. They could’ve wrapped it better or made everything more logical, there were still many plot holes or not understandable scenes which leaves us to use imagination, I would say the ending didn’t solve everything which is why I felt like it was somewhat disappointing.
But besides that, this drama is amazing! The acting, cinematography, the original story, the different feeling who could see that the characters go through ( have you ever saw a character falling out of love in a drama? Well I haven’t so it was interesting to see that)
I liked the directing, the small flashbacks- those which makes us remember but not long enough to drain us. The small hints that are everywhere, everything is just done very very good.
Watch it, it’s not a waste of your time, this drama touched many topics and can even teach you some stuff about life and how precious it is.
