Drama City: A Very Special Gift (2002)

Yeon Ju's husband's untimely death left her son, Yoon Woo, with her in-laws. Soon, she marries Jae Sik, who raises Seon Jae, who suffers from heart disease and is the same age as Yoon Woo. Yoon Woo grew up in the countryside with his grandmother, his uncle Sang Soo, and his aunt Mi Soon. At the age of 10, he begins to long for growing up without parents and suddenly, a car accident leaves him brain dead. He is transferred to a large hospital in Seoul in search of hope. In that same hospital, Seon Jae is being treated for his heart disease. Sang Soo does everything he can to save his nephew's life, but the doctors say there is no hope and recommend organ donation. Yeon Ju and Jae Sik are distressed to learn that Yoon Woo is the donor to his son's heart, but eventually, they visit Grandma and Sang Soo and ask them to donate Yoon Woo's heart.
