A Company Man is also an Action/Thriller and it gives a similar vibe to A Man From Nowhere and No Tears For The Dead

If you are into mysterious, dark heroes who fight like pros and talk the bare minimum, both these films are for you. Both have great fighting scenes and outstanding acting performances.

If there is a movie closer to The Man From Nowhere for its closeness then it would be The Suspect. Can't believe no one hasn't recommended it. Both movies are action packed. The main characters are equally skilled in combat and weapon. Both are facing tremendous amount of enemies to get back a person important to them. I rated both movies the same 10 when it's not easy for me to give 10 ratings. Just watch it and you'll know.

**"The Man from Nowhere"** (2010) and **"V.I.P."** (2017) share several similarities, making them both gripping South Korean thrillers:

1. **Genre and Tone**: Both films are intense action thrillers with dark, gritty atmospheres. They delve into the underworld of crime and corruption, showcasing brutal violence and high-stakes drama.

2. **Protagonists**:
The main characters in both films are driven by personal vendettas. In "The Man from Nowhere," Cha Tae-sik (portrayed by Won Bin) is a former special agent who embarks on a violent mission to rescue a kidnapped child.
In "V.I.P.," Kim Gwang-il (portrayed by Lee Jong-suk) is a North Korean defector and serial killer, pursued by a South Korean detective, a North Korean officer, and an Interpol agent.

3. **Themes**: Both movies explore themes of revenge, justice, and redemption. They highlight the lengths to which individuals will go to achieve their goals, often blurring the lines between right and wrong.

4. **Action Sequences**: Both films are known for their well-choreographed and intense action scenes. "The Man from Nowhere" features hand-to-hand combat and knife fights, while "V.I.P." includes brutal confrontations and shootouts.

5. **Emotional Depth**: Despite the violence, both films incorporate emotional elements. "The Man from Nowhere" focuses on the bond between the protagonist and the kidnapped child, adding a layer of emotional depth. "V.I.P." explores the psychological aspects of its characters, particularly the twisted mind of the serial killer.

Films quite similar to each other, and the creator of the two films is the same person.

Both protagonists are out to save a little girl, both stories are full of blood and violence, and both stories have an amazingly hot guy.

They're both about men who seemingly don't care about anything slowly but surely starting to care about children that aren't related to them. Though in 'phantom detective' the main characters starts caring about two sisters, whilst in 'the man from nowhere' he starts caring about one little girl.

Plot-wise these movies are nothing alike. I would say that 'phantom detective' has a lighter tone than 'the man from nowhere', though.

Same Theme of Father saving his daughter.
ML is a secret warrior in both cases, who is living a secluded life.
ML has to revert to their old selves in order to protect their loved ones.

I think this movie is quite similar in aspects of main lead trying to save a girl. Both movie has action and thriller scenes as well.

Skill fighter. Fight for justice. Sweetness overload, soften part of tough guy, care and loving heart, bad guys, unfair society, society cruelty, political corruption, useless police enforcement.

another of those typical movies with a lot of violence and gun shots.. altough this one has a lot more violence and is only for 18+ viewers

Both are about men who turn into "monsters" trying to get revenge after seeing someone they know being violently murdered.

Both The Target and The Man from Nowhere* are about desperate rush to rescue a wife/a little girl* by an ex-special security/ex-mercenary*. Both films are fast-paced with well-choreographed action and build-ups leading to climatic kick-ass showdowns with the baddies.
