This series is a must watch for the romcom lovers
Falling into your smile is just an overall cute and comedic drama, the chemistry between Cheng Xiao and Xu Kai was on point and brings the characters to life. This drama really works out for Cheng Xiao as her acting really improved from her previous dramas and Xu Kai was good as usual. The rest of the cast was great such as the chemistry between the 2nd lead couple and little fatty, old cat, and old K all had great chemistry with each other. The OSTs were also a plus for me as Seventeen and Way V also released an ost alongside Cheng Xiao and Xu Kai.
The Plot was fine in my opinion the Cyberbullying situation was a nice twist as well.
I'll definitely put this into my rewatch playlist when I'm feeling down!!! Overall the Drama is a 9.8 for me

If you want to watch A LOT of on line gaming, this might be the one for you.
There were some cute things about this drama and it didn’t have a “typical” evil character, but, for me, this show was just too long and drawn out. There were so many scenes of the gaming battles that were just a waste of time. I get it, it’s a show about gaming, but come on! This show would have been so much better if they had done a better job of editing and decreased the episodes by half.SCRIPT: The script was okay, but too long. Rather than the evil parent or the evil girlfriend, the evil in this show was social media. It really addressed the issues that pervade our society today, and how social media can not only make or break someone’s career, but can totally affect the way you see yourself. It was an effective hook, but it went on so long I wanted to tell the female lead to just turn off her phone. This script is more about gaming, some about friendships, and I would have to say that romance comes in third. The team friendships were fun to watch, and their responses to having a girl in their midst was amusing. The progression of them accepting her into their circle was handled in a realistic manner. I didn’t find the romance totally believable – the progression of this wasn’t written in the best way, and I felt that it wasn’t clear why they really liked each other. I did, however, appreciate that there wasn’t the obligatory time jump where they are separated for an extended period of time. The ending was very abrupt and unfulfilling.
ACTING: I thought that Xu Kai (as Lu Si Cheng) did very well. I didn’t see him as a “cold” character, but more as a driven and responsible leader for the team. He looked out for all of his teammates, he took his job seriously, and he was fair in his dealings. I've not seen Xu Kai in anything before. I'll have to keep an eye out for any contemporary dramas he might do in the future. He's done quite a few historical dramas, but they are not my cup of tea. Chen Xiao (as Tong Yao) was not impressive to me. First, the fact that her online name was Smiling made absolutely no sense. She hardly ever smiled. She spent an inordinate amount of time either looking surprised, confused, cranky or pouty. She seemed weak to me as well, placing so much value on the online comments and she let these comments affect how she dealt with Lu Si Cheng.
CHEMISTRY: Some very good kissing scenes that seemed realistic in the context of their relationship. I hate the shows that have the woman, even after admitting that she likes the man, act like she’s terrified to be touched by him. There were some hand-holding scenes that went well in line with the progression of their relationship as well. Secretly holding hands was a cute touch. Once they were a couple, I really liked his character. He was all-in on this relationship, while she seemed to be on the fence for quite a while. Xu Kai’s smiles alone are worth spending the time to watch this drama. There were a couple of episodes toward the end that were very sweet to watch.

Cute, but predictable
First off thumb up to the Cast, they are very good over allincluding the side stories, but if you loved Go Go Squid and expected this to be atleast at par, it did in terms of the gaming aspect, it actually far exceeded the focus on E-sports and they did do an extensive focus on the game.
So if you are a gamer this is ptobably for you
But if you came here because you expect to see a cute love story ignite, well it fell short on that for me
The momentum just didnt reach its peak, and I think they were over compensating with a lot of kisses from the main FL and ML, which I dont mind but would have appreciated more moments building to the start of a relationship whichbis already at ep. 21 so.... past midway already!
Overall it was a good watch, but not the best

A must watch drama
GUYS YOU DEFINITELY NEED TO WATCH THIS DRAMA IT'S SO GOOD. It has become one of my absolute favorite chinese dramas. Everything from plot to cast, OST and all are perfect. No toxic friends, no toxic couples. The cast is too good and have good chemistry with each other, friendship is portrayed really well too. Normally in dramas, I don't watch every scene and fast forward some but in this one , even the most side characters are fun to watch lol. I have this dislike to second leads in order dramas, but here Yang is too cute and his scenes with Tong Yao are fun to watch as well. Tong Yao and Lu Si Cheng are adorable, have greatest chemistry, no cringe-worthy scenes or script (hope to see them working in another drama again)I need season 2 but I know it's too late already

ONE OF THE CUTEST ROM - COM OF ALL TIME ...
A very wholesome drama that's filled with teamwork, friendship, romance and comedy! It is An eSports story yet sweet and not boring to watch ...i started this because ML looks really iconic in this one and after completing the drama there are many butterflies left in my stomach and i do not even know how many times i have rewatched this drama ...
I love the chemistry between the main leads both on the drama and behind the scenes. The acting is flawless, ChengXiao improved a lot. This drama is really full of visuals.Lastly, the support roles, such as ZGDX members, God Ming, their manager, fl's best friend and bf all really made this drama very sweet not only in between the main leads but also in friendship. There is a spark of comedy in each episode.
THE MUSIC FOR THIS DRAMA IS TOP TIER. I loved every song. Seventeen made a song for the show, and I was so happy when I found out.
This drama is far from perfect and definitely has flaws, but for me, it was enjoyable and entertaining Chinese drama ...

The BEST Chinese drama I have ever watch!
This drama is a masterpiece. I dare not skip a second of this drama. Everything about this drama is just perfect. The cast is awesome. Their acting feels very real. I'd love it if we get a Season 2 with the same cast.
The plot is perfect. This drama focuses a little more on romance than on the gaming but the gaming parts are also taken seriously. It also a lot of breaks stereotypes of the e-sports world which I love very much. The gaming parts are not boring at all and is very fun to watch at. There aren't any major misunderstandings in the drama which is also something that I like.
All the OST's of the drama are good and fit the scenes perfectly.
The is nothing disliking about the drama. The cast behind the scenes is also very funny and friendly.
Just go and watch it. This drama is not boring at all and is totally worth it!!

HELP! I CAN'T MOVE ON!
Trust me, this drama is PERFECT and worth to watch~This is the first time I've found a drama with a perfect package.
Not only a light storyline, beautiful and handsome actors/actresses, but this drama also brings many unforgettable memories where viewers can feel sadness, happiness, the warmth of love, friendship, family, loyalty, passion, respect, sincerity and trust in each other. This drama contains sweetness and cuteness that definitely makes your stomach feel butterfly, lots of funny scenes, and most importantly NOT cringe at all.
Huft, I really wish there would be a season 2.
Hope this helps ^^

likable characters, amazing plot, it was all worth it.
It can reel the viewer to watch it on a binge. If you want an esport themed drama with a spice of romance and comedy, this series is for you. The story narrates about fresh graduate Tong yao who opted to pick a career she's passionate about. Despite her mom's objection, she signed a contract with a famous esport gaming company, ZGDX. As a first professional female gamer, she is driven to prove that women can also explore the gaming industry known to be dominated by the male population. Moving to the ZGDX, she easily build a connection between her and her teammates. At the same time, she develops a mutual relationship with their team captain.Xu Kai and Cheng Xiao did a great job in capturing naturally the integral romance of the story. They both have the chemistry. The intention to make their audience happy through its highly addicting love story and adorable pairing was highly achieved. I was impressed by the in-game striking graphics, that made the in game playing interesting to watch. Supporting leads didn't fall back and they shine in their own way throughout the stories. Overall, this is highly recommended to watch.

Falling Into Your Smile (2021): A Heartfelt Journey Through Esports and Romance
"Falling Into Your Smile" (2021) invites viewers into the thrilling and ultra-competitive world of esports, where the ZGDX OPL team reigns supreme. Known for their unrivaled skills, this all-male team commands an army of adoring female fans wherever they go. However, when a star player's hand injury threatens the team's dominance, it sets the stage for a captivating story of determination, friendship, and unexpected romance. At the heart of this drama is the enigmatic ZGDX team captain, Lu Si Cheng. Tall, handsome, and notoriously hard to please, Si Cheng refuses to be rushed into choosing a replacement for the injured player. On the other side of the gaming world, we meet Tong Yao, a petite, lollipop-loving amateur gamer who is utterly obsessed with OPL. Her gaming skills are exceptional, but she firmly believes that love has no place in the male-dominated world of professional gaming, despite her own history with a gamer ex-boyfriend.
When the ZGDX team manager discovers Tong Yao's remarkable talents, he sees an opportunity to make history by recruiting her as the first female player in the OPL scene. Si Cheng, initially dismissive of her, reluctantly agrees to accept her as a substitute player, a decision that ignites a storm of controversy among the team's fanbase.
What makes "Falling Into Your Smile" truly endearing is the gradual development of a unique bond between Si Cheng and Tong Yao as they navigate the complexities of esports and life. Their growing connection not only enhances their gameplay but also unveils the human stories behind the competitive exterior.
This Chinese romance drama is a delightful journey that seamlessly weaves together the world of gaming with matters of the heart. While the story is anchored in the esports arena, it doesn't overwhelm the plot, making it accessible even to those less familiar with gaming culture.
The drama's greatest strength lies in its characters. Si Cheng is a charming and dominant lead with a mysterious allure, while Tong Yao is a sweet, charming, and fiercely independent lead. Together, they form a couple that is both heartwarming and compelling, drawing viewers into their evolving relationship.
"Falling Into Your Smile" offers a heartwarming and easy-to-follow romance drama that explores the uncharted territory of esports and love. With its well-balanced focus on gaming, character development, and romance, it strikes a chord with a broad audience. This drama is a testament to the power of unexpected connections and the idea that love can blossom even in the most competitive and unconventional of settings. If you're in search of a captivating story with a charismatic couple at its core, "Falling Into Your Smile" is definitely worth watching.

Perfect to watch with friends!
Probably one of my favourite modern romances I've seen? The story was fun, the romance was swoon worthy, and I actually felt anxious during the tournament scenes. I appreciate them animating the gaming scenes for people who are not into e-sports or video games because it kept those parts interesting. Truly the best part was anticipating the new episodes with my friends every week and talking about it nonstop after. In terms of negatives: some plot points were completely wacky and the female lead's acting isn't great. Though, I really enjoyed the supporting characters and Xu Kai was a really good male lead. I can say I am a fan of them all now!Was this review helpful to you?
Chase me and Pull my Pigtails Please Mr. Scene Thief
This is my first review, even though I have been a member for a long time. I will admit that I am usually generous with my ratings because I tend to value things for what they are and not what I expect them to be. BUT, I only give a 10 to shows that make me marathon them AND have a satisfying ending.I'll start with Xu Kai, since he is the reason I found the show. I'm a sucker for devils with handsome faces, and this show put him at the top of my "Jerks you want to kiss list." I fall in love with all his characters and I am always afraid he will be type-casted each time, but he never fails to draw me in. Even if he wasn't illegally handsome his acting skills would keep me stalking his newest shows. His acting never stops. Even when the camera isn't on him, I can't stop staring. I lost count of how many times I had to replay a scene because I forgot to pay attention to everyone else's reactions. He's an expert scene thief!
I think Cheng Xiao did a great job of playing a young woman in a man's world. She was the perfect combo of feminine badass. The only thing that felt unrealistic was her ability to push Xu Kai away, even once! I mean this as a compliment. This must take good acting skills. All joking aside, I loved her character. This was my first show with her in it and I look forward to seeing her in other roles.
All the other characters were just as entertaining and lovable! I definitely picked up some hinted BL or bromance, but I admit that I'm also usually hunting for it. I'd say more, but I hate spoilers.
The friendships and teamwork themes were really heartwarming and just as entertaining as the romance. I admit I got choked up a few times. I also really enjoyed the animated gaming scenes. They made the competitions more exciting and fun to watch.
I can't leave without giving props to Tong Yao's parents. I normally dislike meddling parents in dramas, but they cracked me up. Their character growth had me rolling by the last episode and I even missed them when they were absent from too many episodes!
