Main leads chemistry was good. Sad that we didn't get much of it onscreen.
Sad that Aejeong didn't explain the situation well herself. Writernim obviously male biased. But guess it's realistic, most people wouldn't.
Actors saved it. I usually skip 2nd leads. I hate triangles etc. But most of the characters were likeable in their own right. Music on point. Would rewatch certain scenes. Despite the constant troubles, something obviously kept me watching and rewatching eps while waiting. I drop dramas like skin cells usually. Hope the main couple reunite in another drama. Honestly want the female lead with each of the guys in the future. Goo Pado.

Watch this after you've watched a complex drama.
Watch this after you've watched a complex drama. This drama does not require you to think too much! It's basically a cool off drama that you watch in between thrillers or historical dramas lol.It started off good, but by episode 6 it becomes decent (bearable to watch). Thus far, there's absolutely nothing good about the male lead character (the writer/director). Btw, I am on episode 8. He is arrogant, he is passive aggressive, and he is overbearing. In the beginning of the drama, he planned to get revenge on the female lead character after 14 years of breaking up. REALLY? Basically, his revenge was to be mean and childish. BTW, I wonder if he's the same guy from Love Alarm? I am not sure whether or not I will drop this drama, but I do like the school teacher, and the famous actor. The very attractive gangsta has to go or rather, should have never been in the story. It would have been better for the writers to have made his character a competitive film agency (who wants to steal the female lead character, clients, movies, and talent), instead of a gangsta.
Things that make this drama weird or unrealistic are:
1. Attractive gangsta (the character, not the actor).
2. The fact that there are four attractive (some famous, some normal) men, all liking one middle aged woman at the same time.
3. If one of the four guys is her child's father (which I think it's the writer/director). It's weird that there was no emotion shown by the female lead character when dad and daughter were together for the first time ever.
4. The hot younger teacher living with his student mom (conflict of interest).

the FL's intention behind her actions baffles me...
i simply do not understand why the main character is making it such a big deal not telling her daughter about the dad and the choices she had to make.. it doesn't make logical sense...after watching ep 9 and reading through the reviews, this drama does not seem to be worth continuing, the storyline/conflict really doesn't make much sense. why is she against telling her pre-teen daughter about the father. The line where she's like "i thought i was doing a good job as a single mom" really took me about when she found out her daughter had been looking for the dad.. like being curious about your birth father is so normal and it doesn't reflect on the parenting of the single parent... so it was frustrating to watch as i did not understand the motivation behind the FL's actions. Was this review helpful to you?
BREAK AFTER EPISODE 8
There is a trade off of having to wait for new episodes. The negative of course is having to waiting for it. The positive, especially for this drama is try to guess what will happen!.....i wanted to write one after the episode when Dao first came clean to Ae. I guessed that she would blow the whole thing off, and she did. Now for this one after episode 8. Will they kiss?...and will they get together? Based on what has happened so far, plus from watching a number of A-dramas is that i think she will pull away at the last moment. Could be wrong, but that is my guess. I loved when she said he is stirring up her heart again, she became vulnerable, something that i did not see in her before...but i am still thinking she will pull away and the conflict will continue. As for the story- I love it...i am rooting for Dao to win An back. Don't know why. I don't particularly like the other guys so i guess it is by default. but i do believe his love is the most intense, at least at this stage. I am sure there will be more to come with subsequent episode to change my mind.
As with all my dramas, my favorite is the female lead- and this one does not disappoint. Although i did think, as someone else mentioned, that she over did it a couple of time in the beginning, as episodes have progressed, i think she has really become a very strong lead. I can't wait to see what comes next for her, especially for how things between her and Dao turn out.
My next favorite plot is the child. Thought for sure early on that the actor was the father..now not so sure. maybe by the next break I'll have a better guess, but as of right now, i'd have to guess it is Dao's.
Can't wait for episode 9. I plan to write another review after the next break.

double wrist grabs in 2020? how unoriginal
edit: I read some of the spoilers from ep10 and my 1st prediction after ep1 was right, so that means the story was built on 1 plot move and 1000 misunderstandings and miscommunication ;D ie a waste of time ;)the fl stands up for herself and she even called Dae Oh as a loser so they acknowledge his annoying side, but the wrist grabs drive me crazy especially the double wrist grab at the end ;/
they are not bickering, they are purposely hitting below the belt?. they might now be doing it becasue both are hurt and once the misunderstanding goes away they'll be all lovey dovey, but at the end of the day they chose to say/think those words....
my theory (not a spoiler) is that Dae Oh is the dad, self centered actor liked her too so he never cleared their misunderstandings if not add more fuel to the fire. she saw Dae Oh with another woman and she went to self centered actor ie the rain scene, and teacher dude loved her so much that he wanted to "take responsibility" for her and his mom hated that he was going to raise another man's kid so she bribed/hurt ae jung and told her to leave. I don't know how gangster dude is related, but add the actress and we'll get 10 more eps of misunderstandings and venomous fights ;/
it really can't be any other guy because 1- she was happy to see actor guy, 2- she didn't remember teacher dude 3- she didn't even know gangster guy. and 4- she hated seeing dae oh again. and the grandma did say "he's dead to her" so I mean you won't not remember the person you hate/love

WORST DRAMA I EVER WATCHED
I thought i was going to like this, the start of this drama was very strong, but as i kept watching i started hating it more and more. I Truly did not like the Male lead. He did not deserve the main female leads. He was beyond selfish and beyond stubborn and truly blinded by himself. He also is a HUGE LOSER. I liked the loan shark guy who was pretty interesting, i even enjoyed the teacher and the actor. I had a huge problem with how the ML just was so blinded he couldn’t see his friend (the actor) was so in love with the FL as well. LIKE the fL had a crush on him in college and then HE THROWS UP ON HER SHOES so she doesn’t kiss him on their school trip. LIKE WTF? And then gives her this sloppy drunken confession and then keep just confession and basically he gets her by warning her down. Which isometimes can be cute but he was not. I also truly wished the daughter was actually the actors not the ML cause that would definitely add a layer of Drama. It would have been really nice for her to move on from that asshole. I also hate how she passed up the teacher! Like he was so sweet and he was going to set up and be there for her and her child as if it was his own. The ending was not really satisfying at all expect her daughter and the Loan shark Son get married because there side story of her looking for her father and them becoming friends was amazing. Beside that I don’t recommend watching this one. This love was so flat and so DESPERATE! I just legit can not stand the male lead. At the end he even LEAVES his family AGAIN for like 2 years? (I think its 2 or more) to go write his novel…. Has them waiting him again. This story had so much potential, especially with her evolving and realizing she was better without that piece of trash. I truly love when he confessed he has so call feelings for her still and she LAUGHED in his face.. thats was AMAZING… but no she jut fell back into his LAME ass… I HIGHLY suggest not to watch this. Was this review helpful to you?
Enjoying!
This is my first drama of Jihyo. I gave it a try because I'm a fan of Running Man and she's really beautiful. All the actors are new to me. If I'm gonna be honest, their acting is not that satisfying or maybe it's just a little bit exaggerated? Is it their way to make it funny? However, the story goes pretty well & exciting. I enjoyed it so much! I didn't find any boring scenes. Like everything is on perfect timing.I like Yeon Woo to be the father because he's the most handsome. Hahaha! I also like Goo Pa Do. Although he looks scary outside, but he's kind inside. If I will based on this drama's banner/photo, Oh Dae Oh was in the middle next to Ae Jung means he's possibly the one who will end up with her. He's not really appealing to me and also to Ryu Jin. I hope for the twist!
I saw a lot of comments in one website and mostly saying that it's a great drama and I'd agree. Overall, it didn't disappoint me. In fact, I cried on the first episode and got excited for the upcoming episodes! I don't like spoiling and you guys must consider this on your watchlist!

Best K drama of 2020
For me, Best drama of 2020, Great story, great acting, good romance... I think its one of those cases if u hate the main lead you hate the whole story, For me, what the leads did was justifiable so I liked the story, also I didnt watch the story to solve the mystery of the girl's father/ to find the ending, Just enjoyed the whole journey..........Please try the 1st episode. If you hate the Female Lead then no point on watching but if you like the lead characters.. I think you will love this drama...... if you dont then, might hate it......

Was it love or was it a waste of time
Let’s be honest. I did not finish this drama and dropped it a while ago midway through episode 2 or 3. I don’t remember the story very well but I do remember vividly the annoyance that the FL brought me while watching. I could say it is one of the worst K-drama out there in my taste. Most shows I dropped half way but I don’t recall any that irks me this much as this one. If I could give a score of 0, it would be 0 for everything from story to cast.Story: The premise is very promising. A hardworking single mom is determined to build a better life for her daughter but also to live her dream. I’m probably biased and over-hopeful for an empowering story because it is very similar to my real life situation. But the FL turned out to be just crazy. The plot is severely flawed from the very beginning. She gets pregnant and decides to have a kid alone without telling the father or any attempt for communication and to hate him without any reasons. I don’t care what misunderstanding that may have been between them, it is psychologically NOT normal for a modern woman to behave in such contemptuous martyrdom. It is not only selfish to the family, the father and the child but also insulting to the efforts of generations of women to advocate for women’s rights and gender equality. Every one of her actions throughout the short few episodes I watched is whiny, self-absorbed, pity-seeking and unrepentant.
The MLs aren’t any better, unfortunately. It’s another major plot hole I cannot comprehend that is what qualities the MLs see in the FL other than they know her in the past. The writer seems to forget that there has been a 14-year gap. It is extremely unrealistic and unbelievable that they are all still single and hung up over a woman after such a long time. I’m glad that I did not finish the show because apparently from other reviews I have read, the reason for the breakup is because of interference from one of the ML based on the logic that he likes her first. More maddening is that the real father upon making up to the FL decides to run away for another two years instead of making up lost time for his daughter. Seriously, WTF! Had I watched it to the end I would probably have smashed my phone unsubscribed Netflix, lol. The story appears to go from bad to worst in 16 episodes.
Cast/Acting: I generally don’t tolerate loud and excessive FL very well, and I’m very disappointed with Song Ji Hyo (SJH) in this one particularly. I have watched her in Emergency Couple, the premise of which is also similar to this one where the FLs overcome adversities to realize their dreams. I kinda tolerate her in the other one and managed to finish the drama albeit skipping a lot but this one she really made me just switch off my phone completely. The two characters have slightly different personalities and stories, however, SJH’s portrayals of the two turn out to be identical, just pure annoyance. She fails to demonstrate the characters as strong and capable women and only shows them as illogically unreasonable and stubborn people. I guess her strength is more suitable for variety shows than dramas.
As for the MLs, I can’t be sure if all the suitors had been introduced by the time I dropped to really comment. One thing I do remember is Son Ho Jun. I expected something more from him after Reply 1994 and Backtrack couple. Although he is not the best actor, his performance in this drama is simply just flat and bland. The chemistry between him and the FL is also off. He cannot convey any emotions at critical moments such as at the revelation that he is the father (I skipped all to this portentous scene instead of torturing myself through all the lengthy and wearisome middle episodes).
The best performance in the first 2 episodes probably should go to the FL’s daughter. The kiddo is witty and show maturity beyond age but it does not come across as forced or fake.
Music: I doubt that any K-drama would feature bad music but I dropped the show very early on and did not have any recollection of the music, so unimpressive is probably the best description.
Recommendation/Rewatch value: Avoid at all cost. A total waste of time. If you are looking for romance, there’s no chemistry between the casts and not even romantic swoon-worthy scene. If you are looking for an inspiring story about a determined and independent woman, this show is the opposite of it. I don’t even know what it is.

Was it love bercerita tentang perjuangan ibu tunggal yang harus rawat putrinya selama 14 tahun bersama ibunya.
