The Sorrow of Brook Steppe (1995)

Chenley and the other Mongols swear to fight the Japanese without sparing their lives. Their brother Galasen goes over to the side of the Japanese and promises them to kill Chenley, but at the last moment, he changes his mind, kills several Japanese and jumps from a cliff. Galasen's wife, Zhuola, convinced that her husband was killed by Chenley, vows revenge. She swears an oath to marry anyone who he kills Chenley.
