Love Between Fairy and Devil (2022)

Both are milestones in the genre! Both have smart and self sufficient female leads, as well as stoic male leads who - in case of Love and Destiny, literally melt as the story progresses.

She traveled to the world of the book and entered the body of a supporting role, Lin Yu. Now, in order to return to the real world, she must complete the task assigned to her by the system, that is, let the Black Lotus, the heroine’s younger brother, fall in love with her.

Both are fantasy romances featuring a powerful ML and a relatively weak but clever FL. There are a variety of characters who want to kill the ML and are willing to use the FL to do it. Both FLs are a bit lonely and start off with a false impression of the ML. Both dramas have comedy and tragedy. The MLs are a bit vain and have younger brothers who start out wanting to kill them. The supporting casts are fun and interesting, and the leads also have to take time to save them as well.

While the ML in Love Between Fairy and Devil starts out as a villain, the ML in Tale of the Nine-Tailed is heroic. LBFAD has a broader scope to its plot and takes place mostly in a fantasy world, whereas TotNT takes place mostly in the present. TotNT also has elements of horror.

Gong Sun Li, is the grand-daughter and disciple of military commander Gong Sun Yu. Jing Ke (first disciple) and Sun Li are childhood lovers and were forced to escape when Qin troops attacked. However, Sun Li’s wall-shattering beauty seizes the interest of the Qin Emperor, Ying Zheng, and she’s captured and sent to his palace. It’s then that she discovers she’s pregnant with Jing Ke’s child. Ying Zheng treats him as if he’s his own child. The tragic day arrives when Jing Ke tries to assassinate Ying Zheng.

While very different in tone and plot both have the ML and FL swapping bodies, leading to some very funny moments.

Dong Fang Qing Cang in LBFAD and Ying Kong Shi in drama Ice Fantasy are both considered devil. However, it was their destinies since birth. They actually have a good heart and both LBFAD and Ying Kong Shi sacrificed themselves for their loved ones.

Once again good and evil fall in love.

However, if his primordial spirit was restored and Dongfang Qing Cang were to break free from his tower, the world would be in danger once more. Legend says that only the Goddess of Xishan can prevent this catastrophe, but she vanished without a trace. 30,000 years after the first God of War’s sacrifice, there was a disturbance in the Haotian Matrix. While attempting to help the new God of War reinforce the Matrix, Orchid, a weak and low-ranking flower fairy, accidentally finds herself inside Haotian Tower and face-to-face with the Moon Supreme himself. Their encounter sets off a chain of events that threatens to change the fate of the world once again.

The male lead looks exactly like Dylan Wang and also plays almost the same character as Dongfang Qingcang.

It is a short web drama that can be easily finished in one day.

In both dramas, the ML is a demon lord who is bound to the FL through a magic connection that causes him to feel all pain and harm done to the FL. In both, the ML falls first and hard and is very smitten with the FL. The MLs in both dramas are styled similarly.

Love in Devil is a mini-series and much lower production value than LBFaD.
