Not So Ultimate, but Oppa! /The Bachelor Goes Fan-Meet!
This is another one of these stories that you watch for its highly predictability cuteness and fluff... for the reliving memories of dramas past... As the K-drama references are many and indeed lovely.
As we get to see the ultimate nice girl who is so nice, naive and slightly stupid that you will yet again wonder how she made it alive all the way to be eligible to travel Korea on her own. We also get to see ultimately good looking male leas one with some type of brain who will have you wondering why he likes his girl to be so naive, the other handsome but lacking in brain power making you realise you are better off not meeting your idol. We also get to see a stereotypical mean girl as well as some adorable girl power sisterhood...
Some parts of the production felt forced but I was entertained, and I am sure those of you who like this type of story will be too. If you are looking for some substance and quality you probably figured out by now that this is not the right place to find it If you are completely new to K-dramas you may still enjoy it but not nearly as much as if you catch the references made in the movie.
To be honest this 8 star rating is solely based on entertainment value and not quality.

great collaboration
super light romcom.. love the cast. i ship now jay and yana they are so cute also moon shi woo. Its rare to see filipino and Korean movie collaboration. I hope there are still more in the future. i cant wait.... i highly recommend this movie for your next watch. Can believe that the cast is are star studed. from Kim Gun Woo who started in different Kdrama such as fight for my way, Record of Youth and More. Jaspher Jo is a cast of Descendants of the Sun., Start up and more, Baek Soo Min from More than Friends and My Id is Gangnam Beauty and Bella Padilla is one top actresses in the Philippines. Kim gun Woo played such a different light role and he is a super dupper good guy role.. his role really fits him. the movie is really kilig much.....Was this review helpful to you?
Waste of time
I have some guilty pleasures. One is roma-coms or happy endings dramas. This fits that category, but...
So so so many clichest most done in a wrong and forgettable way.
Nothing new...
STORY - A girl does not like Filipino men and that is it. Boring story for me and the way the story develops is also bland.
ACTING - since I am not into fan stuff, I do not know much about the actors. For me, even the performance is really bad. Maybe it could have something to do with the English dialogs...
MUSIC - one calm with English lyrics was ok. The rest reminded me b or c movies from USA. The bad ones.
REWATCH - never!
OVERALL - even as a hangover recovery in a Sunday afternoon this is not good, since it is so bad.
Do not recommend to anyone, especially with so many productions way better than this one...

On paper lovely and lighthearded, but what a dissapointment.
On paper this looks like a lovely, light hearted movie, but the acting... no thank you. Every single emotion was an act. Nothing felt real. Only watchable because of Kim Gun Woo. The only actor in this movie where you could feel some emotion and it didnt feel dull.Jasper cho couldve been replaced by any other goodlooking actor, you probably wouldnt see the difference. His character... like missed everything. No depth, no real emotion an overall boring character and not very pleasent to watch.
Bela Padilla in this movie. She wasnt horrible, not unpleasent. She just ... wasnt memorable. I'd love to see her potential, to see was she can actually do.
The script itself didnt help the actors. The intro/synopsis was fine, so was the end. My problem with this movie is the entirely middle part of it. Instead of building momentum, it was just a flatline for me.

A for effort
I watched this movie to see if the value and aesthetics of Korean Movies could be carried on to a Fiiipino one since it is a collaboration movie.Sceneries were great and the perspectives were good enough. The script and the acting, not so much. The movie felt a bit off from the start for me. The acting was just all over the place, it felt more theatrical than cinematic, although you really couldn't feel much emotion being conveyed from the entire movie.
The script was just cringy and the only character I could actual feel any empathy for was Kim Gun Woo's. It felt like the other actors were in training. Bella's acting was ok, but it aas far from what I've seen her do in her other movies. It felt like something was just holding them all back from giving it their all.
I finished the movie, and it was wrapped up without any obvious loose ends. A for the effort. :)

Super light romcom
Sometimes in life you want something easily digested and sweeter than the sweetest honey. If so, this is the pick for you.Imagine a classic American Hallmark Christmas movie. Then exchange the Christmas theme for “k-drama fan girl gets to meet her idol oppa”, then you get the idea of the story.
It is light, it is full of cliches and prejudices about k-drama fan girls and k-drama actors, but it’s also fun and heartwarming.
As long as you are aware this is NOT a movie with an intriguing or complex storyline or with deeper insights to the characters life or feelings, and you want a super light romcom - you will take this movie to your heart.

Watch it for Kim Gun Woo
Call me superficial, but the main selling point of this movie was Kim Gun Woo. Not only physically attractive, but the character he portrayed here was just lovely. The poor guy that gets taken for granted because he's a good guy, but who you'd really want to be your boyfriend.Jasper Cho's acting tends to be a bit "much", but here I'm not sure if it was his acting or the writing.
Fluffy, fluffy romantic comedy. It's an easy watch, I spent my time trying to guess how long it was going to take the FL to figure things out. I have to be honest, I liked her portrayal of a totally nice woman.
My complaint for this movie was the language. I realize that most people are probably not bothered by it, but the use of the "F" bomb always shows a laziness of writing for me. There are many other words that could be used.

Ultimate oppa
Well it for sure was a romcom. Plot was nothing unexpected or even new. We get nice mountain view. And acting which was not for me, I hardly believe that it has to be script fault or I do not know, maybe chemistry was off? During watching I was wondering why I just do not turn it off, cause I really wanted to (it was just the year when I decided I would finish every show, movie or book I would start - that is the only reason why I have finish this movie.)Was this review helpful to you?

Win a Date with Moon Shi Woo
The moment I saw this movie, I was waiting for it to cringe the heck out me like the other Filipino-Korean collaboration movie I saw a few years back. But this, this was alright. The casting was great, I'm even becoming a fan of Kim Gun Woo, whom I have last seen from Fight For My Way and Chase the Ghost. This is the ony movie which I'm impressed with Bella Padilla since a lot of her movies I have seen are quite depressing. And I was truly suprised to see familiar faces in this movie so it was a good choice of cast. The story, it was truly exciting and romantic in the process. The character Bella played was kind of bland, but she was very positive about things and thats great. The boy Gun Woo played was adorable (spoiler alert: he speaks tagalog in a way my sister likes to say, cringeworthy. But to me was so adorable most especially the part where he says 'ayoko' meaning he doesn't want to do it) Yet I'm also confused about his nationality, wondering if he's half or pure based on his sister's. I also don't understand why she would be mad for not saying about his nationality, but her description says that she hates Filipino men because she has trust issue of some sort. But overall, it was a nice, safe and cozy rom-com in the winter wonderland of Pyeongchang, South Korea.
The ending felt kind of flat to me, but it was a good wrap.
There are some scenes where they spoke in fluent hangul, I couldn't understand anything except for the liitle things I picked up from watching korean dramas. I wish they added english subtitles for that.
The english choice of songs were great, but the korean ones were kind of hard to listen to.
And as I said in the title, it's like the story process of Win a Date with Tad Hamilton. Fell for a celebrity in a dating reality show, but actually falls in love wih someone else. But, with some twists adding some originality in the process.

Interesting premise of the plot but underdelivered
When I saw the trailer, the plot really sounds interesting but the execution of the movie overall is kind of meh. There are lots of cringey moments specially that I understand all 3 languages used in this movie. Some of the scenes felt off because of the script. Some scenes excites me but most of them felt forced. There's not enough build up to justify the story properly. Although, I must admit it's a light-hearted movie really. Just a fun watch.I don't feel any chemistry among the casts. I don't understand the actor-manager relationship in this movie. Like are they close like friends or are they just being professional among each other. It was really vague. The connection of the female and male lead wasn't established properly as well so everything feels forced just to fit the storyline.
The OSTs used was okay, not memorable though. This movie if I may say is decent enough to be watched but if you'll really get into the tiny details, a lot of things in this movie doesn't make sense or feels off somehow. I still enjoyed watching it despite the shortcomings. Do I recommend it? Yes, I still recommend it if you just want a light-hearted watch. But if you're like a movie critique and only wants to watch high quality movie, just skip this one then.
