No Hushing The Truth
What an emotional ending to this great journey, Hush, and the many lessons and messages along the way. Still, most of all, I like its unequivocal message in that the most valuable, ethical, and courageous human trait is sticking up for the unpopular, not the popular, and that a good journalist is not the one that writes what people say, but the one that writes what they’re supposed to write despite what they say. No amount of distorting or manipulating of the truth will make it any less so – No Pain, No Gain, indeed.Hush has been a thought-provoking drama. I admire it for it tackling everything from misperceptions, fake news, corruption, and discrimination in all its forms but mostly the worst kind that which has been inflicted on society by society. I thoroughly enjoyed how wonderful a job Hwang Jung Min, Im Yoon Ah, and the rest of the supporting cast, writer, director, and production team have done with this well-rounded slice of life drama. Annyeong, until the next one.

Slow start but nice finish
To be honest I was considering to drop it up until around episode 6, the story was all over the place and to be really honest I didn't understood the plot at all.Now that I finished it I'm not sure that I understood all plot points as well... I'm not sure if they were too complex to grasp them or too stupid to waste my time on them...
Another confusing part was the constant time skipping . You were not sure when a specific scene is happening now or is a preview for a later stage. There were multiply times when they did this for scenes that I consider OK to be used for (those who you want to know more about) but for scenes that you don't care at all as well. So they figured out that this approach adds suspense to the show... but when your scene doesn't add any suspense it's useless filling and it becomes annoying.
The most cringe part of the show was that annoying gesture with their finger... I know that it was the name of the show, but come on... don't add it after each conversation... it started to become so cringey that it was killing the acting and dialog.
After episode 6 the show started to pick up the pace and to form a concrete plot of some sort and it became interesting for me.
The ending was passable... maybe a bit too overly happy... but it was ok.
About the acting... I will probably get hate for this, but I'm not huge fan of Yoona acting... I felt that her portray in K2 was a little lifeless (but I considered that to be her character there) but I'm seeing the same acting in this show as well... it's a little bland and I didn't see her stand out from the other male/female cast. So while I will not say that her acting is bad... it's a little bit too similar to her K2 role and I wanted to see a little bit more from her. This is of course a personal opinion so take it with a grain of salt.
So if you are looking for a conspiracy show that lacks romance I can recommend it , it's a nice time waste... but it wont probably enter your top list.

Touching, Enlightening, Provocative
《허쉬》 or "HUSH" was a Korean TV serial which ran from December 11, 2020 to February 6, 2021 in ***jTBC***. This show is about the life of a group of news reporters and how they faced the trials thrown at them."HUSH" started by introducing the audience to the process of getting hired in a newspaper company. Once the key characters were introduced, the story immediately tacked its first of many interconnected plots. These were no ordinary plots as it touched on the issues people face daily in work environments and in society. Stories where the audience can relate and question the ethics and morality of what they see, what they hear, and what they read.
In particular, it talked about suicide. Suicide is a very serious social problem in South Korea in recent years, it produced different movements, revision of existing laws, and even new laws, to help fight against the most common reason for suicides--bullying and unfair treatment. This show beautifully handled this subject and encouraged the audience to put themselves in the shoes of other people and to question and care about the things happening around them.
The stories in each episode and the main plot were deep and provoking. It was not simply an office drama in the world of news reporting, it was a life drama which touched the hearts and minds of its audience.
The casting was picked well especially with veteran actors like Son Byung Ho, Yoo Sun, Kim Won Hae, Lee Seung Jun, who were what is commonly called today as "second leads". They portrayed their characters well which was vital to the success of the main leads played by Hwang Jung Min and Im Yoon Ah.
Lim Yoon Ah, or "Yoona", brought all her acting skills in this drama. I can say that this was her best in all of her acting career a perfect match to her veteran male lead partner, Hwang Jung Min. From her innocent look as someone new in journalism to a matured character who earned her badges in life.
This is a good series to watch and I recommend it to anyone going through trials in their work and life in general. A show which reminds us and encourages us to speak out when we see bullying and unfair treatments and practices.

LOVE HUSH!
Oh my God All the casts' acting skill are super b!!! I love JunhyukxJisoo 's chemisty. But I didnt understand some scenes, because it's just too "jurnalistic" I think the drama's writer should make it more detail but still in line...... And I think some scenes just boring and should be more focus.... Jisoo casts as the main role, right? But her parts were so little to called as the main role T,T poor Jisoo I hope I could see her often because her scenes were fresh and cute :)))))) In my opinion, the best episodes are 1-5 and 13-16. But after all hush is still awesome, thanks to all the casts' acting skill! They save it! See y'all in next projects. Thank you for being "hush"!!!!!!!!!Was this review helpful to you?
amazing show !!
it's perfect for me. the slow plot may be boring for some people, but as drama/slice of life lovers, it really suits us !!. the dialogue is very, very heavy, every episode I shed tears, not expecting this drama to be emotional. Hwang Jung Min really deserves appreciation. Yoona also appeared really cool, sometimes her acting background and character touched me. Not to forget that in this drama there is a very deep friendship in the heart, even when they get together the atmosphere of the drama will be different, warm. The character background/character development in this drama is very good and even very strong, no wonder because in episode one this drama describes each character. Was this review helpful to you?
New image for Yoona and an amazing comeback for Hwang Jung Min!
As a fan of Girls' Generation, that's probably the main reason why I watched this. But knowing that Yoona will be working with Hwang Jung Min - one of my most admired South Korean actors, also became a reason to see this. The overall storyline of this series is pretty much related to real-life concerns or issues of the media. While online media is somewhat more powerful now than the major branches of media (Print, Broadcast, and Out of home media), online media also has downfalls. It has lead many lives to end because of being victimized by bullying. And since, everything is just a "one-click, edit, and post" process, worthy news stories can be easily forged as non-worthy fake news.
On its technical aspects, I love the production design and wardrobe. From the first episode to the last, they were consistent with how they want you to look and feel towards the scenes. It was refreshing! I also like the cinematography. It didn't look like the usual "Korean Drama Signature Shots." The color grading added so many feels to every scene. It was also consistent from the very beginning.
The casting wasn't superb but rightful to every actor and character. ?❤️

If you like ships between ML and FML then this drama isn't for you.
If you like love triangles, then this drama is not for you.
If you are only biased actor / actress, then this drama is not for you.
I myself don't know which category this drama is in.
But since the last half of episode 2, it made me don't want to skip all the lines in this drama.
Still episode 3, there's still a long way to go, but enough to keep me going to watch it.

Accentuated My Mistrust of MSM
I couldn’t really get into HUSH in the first episode but I am glad I hung in there. The premise of this drama really intrigued because I hoped that there are journalists like the 6 journalists that exposed the behind the scenes of mainstream media.
My biggest disappointment was that the Chief Na Sung Won really didn’t suffer any consequences even though he was the most evil.
That the six journalists left to start their own news outlet was what I was hoping for and was happy to see it come to fruition.
