Thoughts
This is probably one of my favorite real-life problem dramas that lets you experience what is happening during Covid-19. After watching episodes of this drama, I actually felt the difficulties of the people there. It's something I wouldn't ever want to experience... the pain... the sorrow.... every bit left me in tears. Sending your own family off into the hospitals... worrying if they're make it alive or not... that's something truly... truly miserable...Seeing a family reunion during that time makes the tears flow quicker.... during January of 2019, the volunteers, nurses, doctors, and people from parts of China were unable to visit their families of distant lands. Who would ever want to experience that? All the actors brought this experience to me..
I would highly recommend you watch this if you're interested in Chinese society during the epidemic.
I really want to say that I would like to appreciate the healing angels, the volunteers, and the helpers. Without them, what would life be today? Imagine the epidemic today.... Although the virus is maintained in China, it's still occurring where I live. I just hope this day would be over.
Who knew this drama came out when the virus isn't contained where I live.
At last, I would like to say thank you for the directors of this drama. Thank you for bringing such an experience to me. I was so naive about what was going on during that time. Who knew 2021 turned out to be like this? Thank you for letting me experience a person's life through a screen. I'll be continuing watching this drama. Although I wouldn't necessarily rewatch this drama.... I wouldn't want to experience more pain and sadness.

Go for it!
It's been more than seven month's still there are cases and pandemic situations. As day passes, there is no fear among people about the seriousness of Covid-19. We start living our normal life. After watching this series, i came to know how serious it is and how people are suffering and the painful treatment and how hard doctors are working!!
It is really good to know those trembling things through series
I'm grateful to director's and cast members on behalf of public for showcasing the hardships of patients and hardworking Doctor's!!
Thanks for this meaningful series!!

all the episodes gave me goosebumps
all the episodes gave me goosebumps, the scene where people shouted "jiayou" for encouragement was really sad. We can feel the distress of people during a pandemic from different perspectives and it is very touching to see people helping each other in these circumstances. There are a few episodes that I highly recommend. You can watch ep 1-2 (a story about a doctor and patient at the hospital who was the main reference for Covid19 at the start of this firus). ep 9-10 (story of people in dangerous virus control center). ep 15-16 (story of a person who had to get off in Wuhan because he sat in the wrong seat while riding a train and ended up becoming a cleaning worker in a hospital to survive, well, Denglun is here xixi ..). eps 5-6 (Yangyang and Angelzhao as doctors trying to return to Wuhan to help in the hospital). ep 13-14 is also good (stories of people with mild symptoms being treated at the stadium). ep 3-4 (story of a courier who volunteered to deliver medical personnel from the hospital to the hotel). Besides the episodes that I recommended, all episodes were good and made me want to cry TT ..And Also, I liked that the actor and actress who played this role didn't use pretty make up and looked more natural

Decent
I gotta say, this drama is definitely difficult to get into at first, but as it developed I slowly fell in love with it. Moving my way through each of the stories, I could feel the emotion in each of the actor’s eyes and it led me through a rollercoaster of emotions; heartbreak, hope, sadness, happiness. At first, I only watched this drama because Yang Yang and Allen Deng but I’m glad I watched it from beginning to end. The only thing is, is I don’t know if I would have watched it if it weren’t for those two actors, I mean like, why would I want to watch a show about COVID when I’m literally living it?Was this review helpful to you?
A great piece of work, but difficult to watch
It's an incredible piece of art. The script is perfect, the acting is outstanding and the soundtracks go perfectly with the story. But, and that's a huge one, it is a very difficult "drama" to watch. The feeling I got while watching was that I was reliving it all over again. I'm Brazilian so the COVID-19 pandemic is still a tough subject to me. I could feel the panic those doctors and nurses felt, the fear in their eyes is very real. I recommend it a lot, but not for those people who, like me, have any kind of psychologic disorder. Even if you do and insist watching it I'd tell you to be very careful. Was this review helpful to you?

Watchable and relatable due to pandemic
I watched it because of certain cast members. I wanted to watch Jin Dong and Yang Yang. Overall, there are 10 stories - 2 episodes per story.I enjoyed 9/10 of the stories. The 2nd last story was so awful that I put it on 1.25 speed to get it over with. Heads up for other viewers.
The rest of the stories were pretty meaningful and nice to watch. Stories were relatable. What I enjoyed about it was that the stories showed how different people worked very hard and worked together to do their best in this very difficult time. A few stories stood out for me and I’ll leave viewers to watch the stories to see what stands out for individual viewers.
I enjoyed this series because I found the shows meaningful.
Verdict: watch!

What a great drama about the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic in Wuhan, China
Last night I enjoyed watching the free Chinese TV drama “With You” with English subtitles, Episodes 15-16. The cinematographer brilliantly captured Wuhan, China last year paralyzed under the Covid-19 plague. Deng Lun (“Ashes of Love”) plays a young person who is accidently trapped in Wuhan when returning home to visit his mother. After desperate failed attempts to escape, he confronts his crippling terror and eventually finds shelter, relationship and meaning in his humble role as a custodian in the intensive care ward of a hospital. There are the usual hospital drama situations but for many of us they will be totally familiar after the Covid-19 experience. The themes portrayed are worthy of any of the great Kafkaesque existential films of the 1950s and 1960s, with the added horror that now they are totally real. The images of gray, giant urban landscapes devoid of people, cars or any sign of life was especially haunting and captured beautifully by the cinematographer. The evolution of Deng Lun’s character from a carefree adolescent to a responsible adult with mature humanitarian values is a delight to watch. That he can successfully emote and communicate intense feelings with his body language through the thick padding of his hospital outfit, often visible just through his eyes, is a tribute to his skills as an actor. The contrast was surprising between the fanatical mask wearing Chinese people and the lack of seriousness of many Westerners in the USA that I have met; a people/government who take care of their citizens and a people/government living in denial, distraction, and delusion. I felt it was time well spent. I particularly like dramas such as this because of their focus on character development and maturation over cheap stunts, cartoon psycho-villains and silly action sequences. Was this review helpful to you?
Although we couldn't see his face because of the mask but the way he portraied all those raw emotions via his eyes and body movements was commendable.. He is such a great actor and is amazing as always ❤️
