Ji Woo, who lost her parents in an autonomous car accident during childhood, is a detective who believes in her instincts and abilities rather than relying on the force's artificial intelligence which analyzes data and runs simulations to inform what commands are sent to the officers. However, Ji Woo misses a suspect and is forced to receive a new recruit, none other than an artificial intelligence presence, Seo Nang, implanted in her brain. Ji Woo has to solve a murder case with the help of Seo Nang, but that's not as easy as it sounds. Can Ji Woo and Seo Nang make a dream team and catch the criminal? Blink is based on a work by award-winning science fiction author Kim Chang Gyu. (Source: bifan.kr, mydramalist) Edit Translation

Blink
Ji-Woo is a detective who trusts her sense and abilities over the judgment of AI. One fine day, Ji-Woo receives a new partner, but her partner is AI Seo-Nang (Ha-Joon). Together these two go around solving cases. Unlike the previous episodes (The Prayer, Joan's Galaxy, and Manxin), Blink is a very simple story. The concept is Ai's and Human intelligence. Ji Woo tries so hard to not question her intelligence over an Ai but certain things lead her to...The main highlight of this episode is the fight scene in the end. It reminded me of the fight scene in the anime "Ghost in the Shell". I love how the Ai hacks the system and Ji Woo fights. My other favorite scene is the cameo scene of Jung Eui Soo, the kid who plays with drugs.
The ending is so cute. However I wish there was more depth to the story but the writers kept it simple and aistic.
Good Enough
Korean Series SF8 is an ambitious anthology of sci fi stories. Others are better constructed, fitting well into the short length of an hour, others had compelling stories or characters or both, and others didn't do so well. Nevertheless, all of them had interesting themes, great performances and, best of all, beautiful CGI that created the perfect futuristic atmosphere.Blink had the perfect pace and, thus, the story was well developed and explored not only the relationship between the two main characters but the criminal case as well. The two main actors did also a great job with their action scenes, which were plenty. This one actually blended smoothly many plotlines and elements, without overburdening the main story.
