In 439, the Northern Wei Emperor Tuoba Tao unified the north. Instigated by the eunuch Zong Ai, he injustice killed Minister Cui Hao. In order to usurp the throne, Zong Ai reprimanded and killed the prince. After being reminded by the Queen Mother Feng Zhaoyi, Tuoba Tao was alert but was killed by Zong Ai's rebellion.
