Friendship, Relationship Value, Family acceptance, and support

This series shows the value of friendship or camaraderie, relationship and support of the family. The actors and actressess act very well, the dramatic impact is great, the emotional progression very relatable. As viewer of this phenomenal series the only things that I could say is. This genre is an eye opener to our society which revealed that love has no gender or boundaries. Because if you can see love as love either between opposite sex or same sex. The actors presented an relationship which tells that gender doesn't matter in love, regardless of what gender you have, its all the same feelings. Additionally, love between male and female or in same sex shouldn't even be seperate discussion, they are both love.

Good fun

Im new to this whole BL life but i enjoyed this series. Its goofy at times with the likes of Miss Becky. Its also heartwarming. I believe the connection between the two main characters is undeniable.
I thought i was going to hate this and i finished watching it at 3am. It has its moments of disney moments and because i like Disney i enjoyed that two.
Im not sure why people gave it a bad rating when they actually came to like it. If you want Shakespeare this isnt it, but if you want a feel good series that you really don't have to think about i believe you will like this.

I will agree with one statement someone else wrote. I think the justice system needs to be a little tougher in the next series. But thats my only insult for this. You can watch it or read the other reviews to know what im talking about.

A mixture of a telenova, an indian series, a Thai BL with a Disney happy ending

Well, I have just finished this series. And all I can say is that when it was good, it was REALLY good and when it was bad...it was REALLY bad.

Story- 7.5/10
The story started off good, but then I think it lost me somewhere, then it got me back. I felt thatcsome things progressed too fast maybe? Also, the ending with the dad. He hated that son was gay, but in the end, in the space of ONE episode, he saw his ways and asked Ace to forgive him?! Just like that?!

Also, Moria broke up with Sky, but is getting on like a b#$ch, cause he moved on. You so don't want him to be happy that u kidnapped Ace's dog, put nuts in Ace's food, which, by the way he's allergic to, leaks a tape with both boys having sex- yet they forgive her for everything. Bullcrap!

I mean, some parts of the series was good, like Sky talking to his mom about his sexuality. Sky and his dad talking in the final episode and even Sky's brother supporting him. But then some parts were bad...and pointless.

Acting/Casting-8/10
The actors who portrayed Sky and Ace- I will give it up to them. When they did an intimate scenes- it was beautiful and believable. And the fact that they didn't do like months of workshop like how they do in Thailand is seen in some of their delivery. But, when they are together, it felt beautiful and good to me.

Some of the supporting characters were over the top for me a bit (looking at you, Ms. Becky), and some of them when needed, gave a good performance in their acting.

Music-8/10
I liked some of the songs used, so I will give it an 8.

Rewatch Value-6.5/10
Yeah, I don't think that I will watch this that soon. I mean, they were some good parts, but I will not be in a rush to sit down and watch these twelve episodes soon.

Overall-7.5/10
If you can get though the bad moments of this series, then give it a go. I found it to truly be a mixture of a telenova and indian series with it's over the top acting and storyline. A Thai BL , cause...well, if you watch it you will see as well as how everything was neatly tied up in the end like how those Thai BL's are done. And of course, it's Disney like ending, where everything is okay and the main couple lived happily ever after. If this is a show that you can see watching with these qualities, then you should give it a chance.

Sexy Hot...Mess

So this is campy, like everyone says. And it also has some continuity and acting issues. HOWEVER, starting from episode 8 its a SEXY mess. So you have to go into accepting that it won’t be the best BL you’ve ever seen, nor will it be the most politically correct. But it shows probably more passion and affection than I’ve seen in most, even TharnType. I think Filipinos know how to do it! ;) Plus the couple seem like they would be a genuine real couple. I can imagine a Season 2 taking place 10 years later and these too would have their puppy children and interfering in-laws and 10th anniversary party with chaos ensuing. Then later they would have sexy time ;) and that song by Paul Ramirez?!?!? I LOVE it!! Downloaded it from itunes and can’t stop playing it!!

This Series grew on me

I must admit, this is the 3rd time I watched filipino BL and in summation My Day The Series did not actually disappoint. The first few episodes were quite cringey at some point, slow paced. The acting was not so good either, but after Episode 4 onwards, I saw its potential. The plot itself was quite good, compared to other BL series. The proper mixture of comedy, drama, and romance made me addicted to this series. Also, the antagonist Moira was REALLY GOOD AT GETTING AT YOUR NERVES. I JUST HOPED THAT SOMEHOW SHE GOT WHAT SHE DESERVED FOR ALL THE BAD THINGS SHE MADE, BECAUSE THOSE ARE ACTUALLY SERIOUS OFFENSES THAT CAN MAKE YOU END UP IN JAIL. I didn’t give it a 10 because I was actually hoping that in the end, moira should’ve reaped what she sow. There should’ve been a consequential penalty for all the drastic things she did. But, overall it was a good series. I’d love to rewatch it again anytime soon! Their acting and chemistry was quite addicting as I watched the whole series. The kissing scenes and bed scenes were really nice! Thumbs up for this! For those parts I’d give it a 12/10. I rarely do write ups and reviews, but this is worth my time commending. I highly suggest you guys watch this series! It’s definitely worth your time and you’ll surely fall in love with Sky and Ace! I just hope, wish and pray that somehow Season 2 gets into production with the same cast and no abrupt changes. I just can’t get enough of them. I love Miko and Aki in just a snap! They grew on me, and well am a die hard fan now!

It's good, it's bad. Highs are high, lows are low.

Has there ever been a drama with this amount of bad, yet the good parts were epic? Surely not. Has there been a trainwreck that was actually beautiful and redeemed itself? Surely not.

The good:
Eventually, the chemistry was there.
The scenes which were intimate were done memorably well.
The orchestral score of the main OST was epically spliced where needed.
It was so not fully focused it wasn't predictable.

The in-between:
The acting was hit or miss.
The plot holes were enough to swallow much of South East Asia.
There were some directing directions there may have worked if they were, actually, directed. I'm looking at you improvised episode.

The bad:
What the hell is up with those fantasy scenes? Ms. Becky spent a good 10 minutes in some fairy tale dusting?
Certain scenes were just cringy and seemed to lack proper direction, eg. in the pool where Ace was trying to avoid Sky. It just looked like bad acting.
It was so not fully focused it wasn't predictable.

The show started with such a wonderful premise: a university student needing an internship gets one of the least picked and hardest ones then is forced into a competition taking on the name of the company and national pride. This theme was explored somewhat well in the beginning. The boss being a harsh taskmaster was explored, but not enough. Ace just became too nice too quickly. The one good thing is the direction of the story never had the viewer foreseeing what will happen next. It was so all over the place that it wasn't really predictable, just as with Ace just becoming nice.

Ace's relationships and interactions with the other characters were well done at times. We get such a good development of this "rich kid" who seems to have it all but actually has deep-set issues. The comparison to his life with Ms. Becky and Sky's family was done well. Could have been better, but was alright. His coming out scene with his "best friend," Kim, was one of those well-done scenes.

There were so many plot holes! The kidnapping of Chux Chux did not feel like the few days which the story suggests. There was also no real motivation for Celyn going against Moira in this issue. Let's not talk about the trope mad, ex-girlfriend getting "revenge!" What are her motivations? What was her background? We get none of this! We had some of Sky's classmates being bullies, then, suddenly, in another scene we see them begging forgiveness. What?

Melodrama was definitely defined in this series! Over the top crying, shouting, fainting! Indian and Korean stories would be taking notes!

All in all the series is definitely a guilty pleasure as defined by an MLD member. It was bad and cringy, but still had you looking at what was next, even if it was just to hate it! The series is not for everyone, but will still keep your attention if you like having a suspension of disbelief. Not really a trainwreck, not really all on the tracks, but hit some stations, stoped way past some, and just ran through some. I can only hope Oxin, the producer, will grow from here seeing that it was their first real outing into drama.

Can a drama be this bad? Apperantly and it is hilarious to watch

This drama is so bad, so bad, so bad it is highly addictive... As I could not help but wonder how much worse it could get..

The acting: bad (with a few exceptions)
The Sound: bad
The cinematography: bad
The filming: shaky
They styling: at times ok but mostly, yep you guessed it bad
The dialog: so bad
Cringe: oh yes....

Still I could not help but fall in love with this cast, as they are truly adorable and had me wanting to join hem for a drink or a group hug. As what they may not manage to convey any depth or story they do actually manage to convey fun, joy, embarrassment...

As it was pretty clear that they were thinking oh boy this is cringey as h*** and or improvising. And while some dramas lack chemistry and will give you dead fish kisses... this drama will give you very much grilled fish kisses instead as these boys clearly admit to wanting to eat each other.... and do seem to get a lot of the others saliva here and there....

There is a lot of crossdressing in this drama, not really as a punch line as the whole drama is one looong punch line these characters are there to help move things along delivering all kinds of odd lines and making sure that their appearance is not what is laughed at... Accompanied by the general message in this which is wear what you want, love who you want, just don't hurt people... Miss Beckey for example is this Disney nanny singing la la la la la all day long and makes her lemonade herself... I feel like I am missing out on a joke here as there probably is something about self made lemonade that I do not know about.

I also have to mention Chuk Chuk the dog who is there to show us that some people have just a little bit to much money...

So was this good, nope not in any way... Was this entertaining... mmmm.... but beware it is really really bad and I spent half of it with my hand covering my face hoping no one will enter the room while I was watching kind of bad

A very lovely story with a twist at the final episodes.

I really wasn’t sure about this story, but I’m glad a saw it! It’s a very lovely story with much character. The acting of the major roles was awesome, very wholesome.

I see many dislikes about the show, but we must understand that this is a low budge BL with a minimum staff. Having said, I think the show did a phenomenal job. Furthermore, the last episodes bring a different ending compare to many BL stories.

If you really want a unique and very real end compare to other BL, give yourself the joy of MY DAY the series!

Enjoyable mess

I really shouldn't like this series, there are so many things that are mediocre at best, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Things that weren't so good; The script needed a good polish, the editing was wildly inconsistent and some (long and unnecessary) scenes were included clearly to pad episodes while some scenes should have been included but weren't. If you are going to talk about the cake competition that often, maybe it might be nice to include a little 'masterchef' type scenes and have the contestants do more than finishingbthe final look of the cakes. The attention to details left something to be desired too. And lets not talk about the Ace of Cakes company environment, that was really unbelievable.

There was one thing that kept me watching and that was the relationship between Sky and Ace, that was really well done. I especially loved to see some passion in a relationship for a change, the scenes where they kiss are the highlight of the show. The guys did their best with what they were given and made it work. They really showed love for each other. The supporting cast did the same and managed to be likable despite a poorly written script. The one character that didn't work for me was Moira, she was either whiny or James Bond level evil, though not an evil genius.

BEST FILIPINO BL

For those who said this series suck, yalls suck booty. This series shows much more than some train wreck relationship caused by the antagonist. First of all these series shows Filipino culture that yalls wouldn't see in Thailand, Korea, or wherever yalls are from. I can connect with the family and how the dad treats Ace. It makes it more appealing to see similar traits you would see in a Filipino conservative family. IN addition, everyone's acting was authentic and really funny from time to time. Makes it seem real and not stiff. This series deserves more love than hate. People are hella picky about the acting and the yelling, but that's how it is in the Philippines if you ever went there. You just need to understand.

OH MY GOD another PERFECT BL!!!

Guys if you are like who thinks Thailand has best Bl then guys it is yes but Philippines is no short than any other country when it comes to Bl and this is a perfect example . Yeah the story is quite normal , but we have to keep in mind that writing plots is not a easy task.
If you have seen tharntype or together with me or until we meet again or etc (these are one of best Bl series of Thailand) I m sure you I'll not regret watching this. But if you don't like it then sorry may be we have different thoughts and choices. But if you like share with me ( only if you want...... otherwise it's okay ..good.

Sincere in it's bonkers-ness

I wasn't going to watch this because so many of the comments on the show's page are so negative. So much complaining about the production, the acting, the script, and they aren't.....wrong. Not exactly.

This show is completely bonkers. It veers from good, to great, to terrible, back to great again. It has moments that are so good, especially with Ace and Sky, and then the rest of the cast gets involved and it drops.

It is, however, so very sincere and earnest in it's bonkers-ness. Just when you think it won't commit, it does. It goes there.

I don't want to put anyone off watching this because, as I said, it has it's great moments, but you need to accept going in that there are going to be things that might make you cringe.

The acting by the two leads, Aki and Miko, is fine. It's great, in places, especially during the romantic and dramatic scenes, but everyone else is just so-so. And not because they aren't talented, but because they go way over the top and it verges on descending into caricature at times. (I am not Filipino, though, so this could be something in that culture that I'm ignorant of.)

The thing is, somehow, even though the acting skirts the line so closely, it never goes over it. These characters are characters, not caricatures. They all feel real. Honestly, now that I come to write this review, sometimes it all feels very meta. Like these characters are acting out their lives in over-the-top way. Like the characters themselves know they're in a t.v. show and are just doing their best to put on a performance.

This impression was solidified for me in the later episodes where the characters Ken and Jam are recording a vlog and give shout-outs to their actual, real life, you tube channels. And Kim calls up the fashion house that the actress playing her runs in real life, to order a dress. The name of the fashion label is then dropped all throughout the episode.

All in all, I enjoyed watching this and I would recommend it. It does have rewatch value, especially episodes 8 and 11, If you've already watched this, you'll know which scenes I mean. :-)
