This drama by no means is perfect, in fact it has many flaws with sinful number of drama cliches. There were definitely lots of holes in the plot and some situations were just downright crazy. Some of the characters' behaviours were extreme and very unrealistic.
However, unbelievably these seemingly major flaws were overshadowed by the overall story about love, friendships and family relationships. I was completely drawn into the lives of these surprisingly interesting characters. The bromance between Jin Fan and Xie Chuang is one of the best I've seen in any drama. Their chemistry was perfect and they were joy to watch. I love to know the name of the actor that played Xie Chuang because he was so good. And wow, Hawick Lau portrayed his character, Jin Fan to perfection. I am a big fan of his now.
The romance between the main couple was cute as they had good chemistry but I also found the second couple (Xie Chuang and Jin Fan's sister) adorable. The story about the corporate world was surprisingly equally interesting as the relationships between the characters.
This drama absolutely exceeded my expectations, it made me laugh, cry and actually care about the characters deeply. I normally try to avoid watching long dramas because I get bored easily but I was thoroughly entertained by all 51 episodes.

This drama was a wonderful mix of different elements from family drama to romance to corporate scheming. The cast and character dynamics were just fantastic- I adored Jingfan and Xie Chuang's relationship! That being said, the romance was still my favorite part. Yang Mi and Hawick Lau are flawless; my otp in real life and in the show! Hawick's portrayal of a flippant playboy was great and his chemistry with Yang Mi's character had me flailing in happiness because they were just so darn cute.
I laughed. I cried. I fangirled. I very nearly threw my laptop across the room in anger. And then I repeat the cycle as I rewatch the series for the third (or is it fourth?) time. Seriously, I cannot gush enough about this drama and I highly, HIGHLY recommend!

Great show with good story and romance
Yang Mi and Hawick Lau are excellent in this show. Worth a watch if you like them. Overall the story is good but it gets a bit extreme at times - families opposed to YM and HL getting together, jealous characters taking it too far, etc. The highlight of the drama is the romance between the leads and how they stay together depsite a lot of challenges. As a Yang Mi fan, I thoroughly enjoyed it! The business side of the show is also interesting. Side characters are well fleshed out and everyone's motive is very clear. Definitely a 8.5/10Was this review helpful to you?
How I got to this drama? I liked Yang Mi in the previous dramas she acted but they were all historical dramas and so I wanted to give it a try and see how she's doing in a modern drama.
The story of this drama is good at the beginning and made me want to non-stop watch it, but after the story goes on it got a bit boring.
The acting in this drama is alright, not very outstanding but also not bad. The feelings that were shown always felt real but didn't really touched my heart. Everyone except Lau Hawick and Wan Qings father were OK in thier acting. I really liked Lau Hawicks and Wan Qings father's acting very much because they made me feel frustrated when they were and also happy when they were happy. There were very much feelings in thier acting.
I think this cast was well choosen because the characters that were in matched each other but also maybe because the main characters already acted as a couple in other dramas. As a couple in this drama they harmonized very good and I always loved to see the two of them together.
The development of each of the characters were sometimes dissappoinng also sometimes good but what really surprised me was that in the whole drama I didn't really hated one of them. Each character had thier own personallity and many of them had a moment where I really disliked them but as much as I disliked one of them the next moment I started to symphatize with them again.
I didn't really noticed the music, the only thing I know is that the musik that was played always matched when there were happy moments or sad moments.
What really annoyed me??
It wasn't something about the story of the drama it was the beginning and the end of every episode. At the beginning of every episode there is a review sometimes the reviews are just 30 sec long but somethimes there where 10min long!(WTH) And also the end of EVERY episode they didn't left me with a cliffhanger but I had the feeling that they just cut the scene carelessly when the episode should end.
To tell the truh I wouldn't rewatch the drama, not because the drama is not good but because at the end it was really hard to keep on watching it and I rarely ever watch a drame twice.
Maybe I judged the drama to hard but I think it's better to have a bad impression and get surprised than to have to high expectation and get dissappointed.
I hope this review helped you and I hope that you choose to watch this drama because it is worth it!!:D
PS:Pls don't pay attention to my grammar mistakes because I'm not english(;
PPS: & also the total number of episodes is not 46 , it's 51!:)

Hawick and Yang Mi were amazing and absolutely great together. I loved seeing them together!! Currently my favorite couple onscreen! Wang Xiao is such a great actor - he definitely fit the role. Hawick and him seem like they are best friends outside and inside the drama. The casting was superb - the roles were written for these actors - everyone fit their role!
And the music from this drama is amazing. Loved the different songs throughout the movie!
I'm still watching this movie to this day!

The acting is superb good and there are humorous scenes to compliment which makes it entertaining. Hawick Lau and Yang Mi are excellent!! But I really cannot understand why the story must resort to having women to plot selfishly just for a man. Or man plotting just for a woman. On the whole, it's entertaining and I watch because of Hawick Lau and Yang Mi. I really disliked Jing Yuan who stole her ex-lover's (played by Hawick Lau) girlfriend, Wan Qing.

The flaws and wrong things are to many to mention. The actors were good with what they were given,
If lying, backstabbing, cheating is your thing than this is your drama. I am just keeping it real. Needless to say I would not watch this again if it was the last drama on earth.

My favorite C-Drama to date
For this show, the most important thing to me is the story. It has everything from high-stakes business, to romance, to complex family situations. The business storylines are particularly notable - I haven't seen any other show do such a good job of showing office politics and strategizing between two rival companies. The drama can also be touching at times, and genuinely brought tears to my eyes on multiple occasions, especially around two thirds of the way through.
Character development is really strong - in general, characters have two sides to them and nobody is "completely good" (with possible exception of Yang Mi's character) or "completely bad". There are multiple character arcs, and some characters who are villains at the start turn out to be very good by the end and vice-versa. These arcs are believable in the sense that you can see the motivations and causes of why people change over time.
The music is something that annoyed me in general, as the score can sometimes be too cheesy and ruin the mood of some scenes. (Although it's better than some other dramas I watched which had almost no music at all. There has to be a balance.) But the music is redeemed by the excellent OST. There are 5 songs - 4 of them are recorded by each of the 4 lead actors, and the last one is by the main male and female lead as a duet. They are great songs, each with its own mood which fits that character quite well (for example, the song recorded by the actor who plays Ling Tian is all about whisking a girl off her feet and taking her to fly away - kind of a show of male dominance, while the song recorded by the actress who plays Lai Xue is all about trying to determine if a romance was really true or just superficial.)
The ending of the show was good, but could have been a lot better in my opinion. It wasn't as emotionally moving as some of the earlier episodes.
One of my biggest problems with the show was that certain events happened off screen, which would be really nice to have seen. I won't mention what they were here to avoid spoilers, but I'll put a separate comment about that with spoiler tags.
Overall, I really loved the show, although it still has some minor flaws. I don't often watch shows twice, but for this one I probably would, as so much happens and I'll enjoy reliving the ups and downs.
