Dear.M (2022)

One of the main leads in Dear M (Jaehyun) is from the same music group - NCT as Doyoung who is a main lead of Cafe Midnight.

there's not much of a similarity actually. both the Male Leads are from the SM Entertainment's boy band NCT (127 & WayV). so yea, the dramas are not exactly similar but if you are a NCTzen or soon to be one, both dramas are for you :)

it has similar vibes, both are telling the story of University life, it has multiple main leads with different stories and they have the same FL

Both are centered on university life, with an antagonist who seems kind and friendly but she is just jealous and wants to steal her friend's boyfriend

I don't think the storylines are similar at all. I mean kinda, but not really, and only with one couple. I am just recommending it because it is mentioned in the drama. I haven't watched this movie yet, but I hope I enjoy it when I do.

While Live On takes place in high school and Dear .M takes place in a university, there are a few similarities. The ‘vibe’ for both of the K-dramas is similar, and both shows can be described as ‘short’ with the number of episodes being less than 16 for both dramas. Both are ‘idol dramas’ that feature idol(s) as main lead(s). There is also a bit of mystery in both, along with friendships, and betrayal. I thoroughly enjoyed both dramas since both dramas did not have any moments that I could deem as “skip-worthy”. Every moment of both dramas was a solid watch, the cinematography, the characters, and the OSTs made the dramas all the more enjoyable.

It’s kinda a pure and melodrama but the story went without any flawless . It’s not a best unique story , its just a story like another Asian uni life drama . And all actors were pretty good at acting even though some are new to it .
