The theme and the plot is great as well, you won't see much similar theme with any other drama so far.
Even though you aren't a type who would like to watch comedy drama, i think you better give this one a chance, this show is different from other detective dramas i have seen so far. Apart from the beginning point of a crime scene and end up caught the bad guy, you will learn something about the weather and all those things from weather forecasting which i think it makes this drama different from another drama with the same genre.

This show is more intricate and has more depth than the synopsis gives it credit for. I watched this show on a whim, however, I was definitely not let down by that decision. Each crime was a learning experience from many different angles. The crime/mystery, in general, within each episode was pretty standard to some detective/police/mystery genre shows and movies I've seen before, however, the complete story of this series was something unique and filled with raw, real emotions and genuine talents.
Each episode seemed to fall away from the show's main storyline altogether, to focus on the crime that had happened, however, if you pay attention in each episode then you can definitely see the results of a great cast as they continue to build and create the story.
To be honest, I wasn't sure if Takei Emi was the right fit for an "unemotional, eccentric" weatherperson that just so happened to be a help to the police. Though the more I watched, the more I was completely wrong. I suppose that was because I'm used to seeing her as an upbeat, happy person that I may have been biased, and I'm glad I continued watching; she fulfilled her role spectacularly! I have to say that I am biased toward a few more actors as well: Okura Tadayoshi, Nomaguchi Tohru, Sasaki Kuranosuke, and Maruyama Tomomi. For some reason, they all just seem to fit within the roles they are casted as perfectly; as if that was their real profession.
It was nice to see how detailed the work of a television show, staff, newscaster, host, and weather person was; I've never seen that much attention to detail in a show or movie before. And as someone who likes the detective/mystery/police genres, it is nice to see differences every now and then, instead of something that is overused. I.E.: genius scientist helps the police, genius police, etc... if that makes any sense!
This review probably added more questions than anything, and I hope to clear that up if I edit this one someday; I can only apologize and say this review isn't too coherent because I've been sick for a week. I really do hope more people get the chance to watch this amazing show! The story and cast make this show superb, and very worth it to watch!

There were some inconsistencies with the way the lead's character was presented in terms of her metereological education and experience, but overall the show was very enjoyable. In terms of the human relationships, kept hoping for one outcome at the end, yet the way the Drama went was the way I expected it to, precisely because it was the less conventional, less neat and tidy option. That raggedy unfinished feel persisted right to the very last frame it seems.
I did love that the female lead was shown to be superior to the male lead, but that he was also shown to have his own strengths, including a goodness and decency of character which it could be argued went not only unrewarded but was actively punished. Another episode would have been nice, I think.

I liked the idea of a genius-awkward-weather-girl solving cases, and actually liked the individual murder-cases, too.
Of course, this is a very "light" Japanese drama, thus it cannot be taken entirely serious. It has funny moments and a nice "nerdy" vibe, which makes it fun to watch, although the police work etc. fall flat (which is intended here).
However, the ending falls totally flat. Seriously, it was so weird, that I actually searched for another episode because I thought the actual ending was missing... But, oh well, it was never a "I-can't-wait-for-the-next-episode"-drama to begin with, so you get over it pretty quick.
I don't regret watching it, but there is no reason to do so again.
