Promising series cut short due to tragedy

My First Thoughts:
Being Miura Haruma's final work before his sudden and tragic passing, it was hard to watch without thinking that we have lost such a kind soul and great talent... but at the same time, I wanted to honor him by watching this through the end. And I think those in charge of the drama may have similar sentiment when deciding to air the series, albeit a shortened run and necessary changes/editing needed in light of the circumstances.

Thoughts on the drama itself:
Watching the drama for what is, I thought this was totally the type of drama I usually enjoy. Fairly light-hearted, great cast, an uplifting soundtrack and theme song, and the development/interactions among the characters. What stood out to me was how the drama addressed our relationship with money. While the main leads have different philosophies in how to spend money, we also see that other characters' relationship with money ranges from hatred of money, pressure due to money, sacrifices made for money, etc. It was an interesting theme that I was looking forward to the drama to explore, along with character relationships that had seeds of development.

The full potential of this drama will be lost due to the circumstances, but at least I got to know of it. And the loss of this drama pales in comparison to the loss of Miura... rest in peace, and thank you.

All good things come to end too soon...

I started watching this series because the synopsis was interesting. You always see romance happen in the work place. However, most dramas don't really dive too deep into what the company actually... does? I like that the main focus in on Kiku's personality as she is an accountant for a toy and children's entertainment company. Miura Haruma's character was annoying at first (to me); however, seeing Kiku slowly open herself up to him, little by little, was refreshing. As Kiku started to feel more warm towards him, I started to get that feeling, too. Plus, Miura's range in this series goes from childish/silly, to empathetic/home-y. I'm really sorry to hear about his passing. I think, out of respect for him, I'm going to dive a little bit into his art and music. I'm sure he's someone I would've liked had I discovered him when I was younger.

They saved the best till last

The first two episodes of this 4-episode Drama were REALLY tough for me to watch. I loved the FL's character and the story behind her arc, but I literally couldn't stand the ML. He was as cute and endearing do-it-yourself dentistry, and less fun to watch. The less he was in it, the more I enjoyed the show. The final episode was easily my favourite. because instead of focusing on his irritating "cute" persona, the focus shifted back to the FL's personal growth, including her growing realisation of how she felt about the ML. The ending was pretty much perfect too. Overall an interesting watch that ended up getting 7.5/10 when I was seriously considering dropping it after one episode because of the intolerable ML
