Pretty good

I've never been into Asian dramas before, apart from the live action of Sailor Moon (PGSM). I'm not into dramas or anime apart from Sailor Moon. So I really wanted to expand my interests, so I've been trying to get into other animes and am trying out dramas.
This is the first drama I've given a try. It was on crunchy roll as the second listed drama. (I watch Sailor Moon Crystal there, so it caught my attention)
The poster was appealing to me and the description as well. (Probably Kokoko seems like Usagi Tsukino!)
I watched it and surprisingly I enjoyed it! It's G rated so far and really sweet.

Better Than the First

Was more enjoyable than the first Japanese Itazura na Kiss(which I totally dropped after like episode 5). Was wondering how that house was going to come down, I thought it was going to be an earthquake, fire like one of the others, or a plane, since they showed it but...no it's a shooting star. Though I like the little changes they made with that whole love metro thing. Irie, looks way better with his school uniform jacket off. Glad, Kotoko wasn't annoying like, Oh Ha Ni (k-drama version). Plus the two friends look super cool.

A fresh start to a good manga

I hated the old J-version, I loved the T-version but found it too long and slow-paced, and to me the K-version was just pathetic. But this version is going to completely change my view of Itazura na kiss.

Everything is there, the writers didnot cut into anything essential. I don't really know how they managed to do that, but I'm quite admirative of what they did here.

Kotoko is stupid, but not so much that the viewer wants to slap her in the face. Naoki is cold, but not so much that you get the impression nothing is happening when he is in the room. The characters are both adorable and there is tension.

I'm looking forward to seeing the other episodes.

It bores me until that certain scene when ...

Aihara saw naoki for the first time on the day they moved in! That expression was EPIC! I burst out laughing, and i can't stop myself from pressing the replay button in that 5 seconds of my happiness. XD

This drama has long way to go to prove if it was really worthy to remake itazura na kiss.

Some people have their own expectations for this drama, mostly, by those who's really a big fan of ISWAK like me.

The main leads are cute, but ... can they surpass nor reach the level of what ISWAK leads acting and perfomance showed to us?

I hope so. both ISWAK & Playful kiss has their own pros and cons, however both of it, stand out in different ways.

Surprised by how much I like it!

I'm actually rather impressed by the first episode of this series. I've seen both the twdrama and kdrama versions of this story, and one of the things that always bugged me endlessly was the female protagonist with absolutely nothing but shortcomings. Kotoko, in this version, has a strong will and a positive outlook that seemed to be a bit missing from other versions. She's fun to watch, and I actually can't wait to see what happens next to her! (Despite already technically knowing!)

It's a refreshing take on a well-known story, and I definitely plan to keep watching!

Nothing different yet I like it ^^

There aren't any changes anywhere so far (even the theme video is kinda like that of ISWAK) but I think this version is very cute. I like the lead actors already. This isn't as good as the Taiwanese version. But I like it more than Playful Kiss :P

A nice start!

The start of this series was great! the plot and characters are portrayed according to the story line of itazura na kiss (manga), and I can say it has a different "feel" than the previous versions of this (korean and taiwanese) I cannot say this one is inferior to both versions, this version is different in some other way, plus, the main male lead was totally cute! and the girl who played kotoko, honestly I like her character here, she was not portrayed as over-reacting and mindless like many other "kotoko" portrayals in other versions, she is a unique kotoko, she still portrays that sense of "kotoko" character yet, it is a unique and interesting portrayal, something different from the other "kotoko" versions. I have high hopes from the next airing episodes. I just hope this series will be on its pace, and will continue to have that unique "feel" that is totally different from the other versions. :) I hope it coincides with the anime version! I really love the plot of the anime version! :))

A very promising start!

All though I kept having these deja-vu and I know what's gonna happen next feels (having seen ALL the remakes, be it drama anime and remakes) and I was kinda worried about the lead male since he looked so young... But as expected from Japan drama when it comes to making live actions of there own manga they are the best! This first episode had me already wishing they make a season two xD
Looking forward to the next episodes >.<

I'll be stickin around

I think we all know the plot by heart at this point. Despite that, I thought the first ep was great and refreshing in its own right. The actress playing Kotoko is a cutey and a natural. The actor playing Naoki has that coldness down to a T. I really liked the supporting cast and the sets. I'll definitely be following this one.

Nothing new but guess what? I like it!

For someone who watched all the remakes, it would be very hard to make him enjoy the first ep, right? Well, you got that wrong buddy because I really liked the first ep! it's much better than the 1996 version and I followed the events just like I never watched the story before, it's true that nothing new was added but I liked the way they inserted the shooting star theme, it gave a dreamy feel to the storyline.
I am glad that Kotoko isn't quite irritating but I hope she's not very stupid too even though the scene with Yuki was pretty hilarious. Naoki seems less colder and much cooler which makes me excited to see his actions. As for Kin-Chan, I like him! he seems indifferent in a different way, yup! I know it's crazy thought.
Anyway, I liked the first ep and I am looking forward to the rest of this remake, bring it on Itazura Na Kiss-Love in Tokyo!

I liked it so much!

This episode was so good! Compared to the Korean and Taiwanese ones this seems so much more sensible. I always thought the story, especially the main girl is so stupid but here she seems so nice. She doesn't come off as annoying and is just like the typical not-so-smart, innocent girl. I am liking Irie-kun also. Glad that his secretive smile is much more visible in this version.

I guess Japanese always do make better versions. So far, awesome! Waiting for the next episode eagerly now. :)

Best of Both Worlds

I enjoyed the first episode and it seems as though they are using a mixture of elements from both the Taiwanese and Korean versions. The female lead is cute and thankfully doesn't come across as annoying.

Ten thumbs up :D

I don't know why, but I really enjoyed this episode! It was funny and cute, plus the acting was nice. It wasn't /amazing/, but it mixed well with the fluffy vibe haha. And wow, I'm surprised the actress is my same age (argh, lucky, she gets to act next to such a cute actor!). Well, I'm just hoping that as the show progresses, it becomes even better, not suckish (so I can actually finish an Itazura Na Kiss version :P).
